2018 Harley Davidson Low Rider

  • Published on Mar 16, 2018
  • In this episode l test ride a 2018 Harley Davidson Softail Low Rider (FXDL).
This motorcycle impressed me. It had quite a bit more acceleration than l had anticipated. One explanation is it may well be one of the lighter 2018 softails. Unconfirmed though. The paint scheme on this particular Harley didn't do it for me. The colouring reminded me of a Pepsi can. One other cosmetic criticism l have which l failed to mention in the video was the location of the license plate on the top of the rear guard. Ugly.
Thank for watching. Give the video a thumbs up if you like it. Share it with a friend and subscribers rock.
    Cheers, SckippyDee.

Great video! I have an 18 HD Low Rider and love it. What city was this filmed in? Cheers from Boston, Massachusetts USA.

Those handle bars looks like an old mans bike... I think the 16-17 dyna low rider s has the better aggressive look.. more appealing towards younger riders

Thanks for the review and your opinions on this model. For me, personally ….. Pros : Power to weight ratio, best ground clearance & lean angle of the new softail line, analog tach. Cons: Bowling Ball years paint scheme, mid controls, bars & too much chrome. I'm hoping H-D will introduce a blacked out version (Lowrider S) for 2019. Most of my riding involves the twisties up in the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest. The pros of this model really appeals to me. The cons can be fixed with $$. Thanks again for the video.

It's now the FXLR. I replaced the crap handlebars with HD Street Slammers and it's a totally different feel/ride. The stock seat is pretty good for the rider, but let me tell you, it's hopeless and painful for a passenger. If you ride 2 up, replace the seat with a Sundowner. The Low Rider has better lean angle than the Sports Glide. If you think the 107 is torquey, I upgraded to a 114 (Stage III), and it's a blast. I ordered mine in the new Bonneville Salt Pearl colour (had to wait 8 weeks for it, noting that it had come off the production line the day I ordered it) with SE cannon slip-ons. It's an awesome bike, sounds great, goes great without feeling as if it weighs like a big twin - perfect for throwing it around corners (quickly) and pushing it in the driveway/parking. I'm 5'8" and the mid controls ae no issue for me.

Thanks - I’m your size and just bought the bike. I was probably going to install Lucky Dave 13’s in 11 in

stay away from 2018 Honda Davidson bro you will regret it - they used cheap rings around the starter which will cause massive leaks and the battery is hard to get to it's like 3 hour job plus another 3 hours to seal the leaks with new ring basically it's a day's job and will require knowledge on how to find leaks.
No matter what you do the 2018 will never sound like a Harley that's why they are now called Honda Davidson.
If you are going to buy any Honda Davidson in the future wait at least 2020 when they iron out the bugs.
