I hear Escobar only died cause he lost to the US. is this true
Damn, the guy that got murdered, couldn't even come to America, because he would have gotten murdered here by a crazy countryman of his!
Didn't Lindsey Jacobellis cost herself a gold medal by doing a premature celebratory flip that caused her to fall on her butt and end up with the silver?
The Bartman incident should not even BE on this list. Chicago finally won a WS. The big mistake in that game was the star Shortstop screwing up a sure fire double play and the stupid manager mismanaging the inning and not coming out to try to calm down everyone. A better choice than the Bartman incident would have been the Don Donkenger screw up in the 1985 WS.
What about Marcus Williams? What about Paul Robinson v Croatia?
mojo what the hell... 'sportmansship? after joyce called it wrong! on purpose???? that was a perfect game... sorry sportmans ship does not count when they call it imperfect'. this is a racist ump being racist on a perfectly thrown game by a latin pitcher. unreal. who cares what joyce says afterwards. he knew what he was doing. more than 20 years umping... he was favoring bets. that racist jerk.
jim joyce is the biggest creep! and selig a bigger creep for not letting GALARRAGA have his perfectly pitched game!!!!
The bill Buckner ground ball didn't even lose the game. Why is it #1?
MoRe LiKe AmErIcAn SpOrTs OnLy! StUpId AmErIcAnS! - idiots not realizing they're mainly Canadian.
Number 1 has to be Chris Webber
Amazing that in 30 years I've never once heard anyone say what we all know - BUCKNER SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ON THE FIELD AND THAT'S THE MANAGER'S FAULT......THE MANAGER!!!!!!!!…….Why give Buckner all this shit!!! He was injured and was not near 100% and had NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER being on the field. NONE!!!!
why doesn't the other guy who dove for the ball catch any heat? Only Bartman
IDK about DJack vs Cowboys.. didn't mean much since Westbrook scored on the very next play🤷🏼♂️
how about Andy Roddick's easy missed volley on set point against Roger Federer in 2009 Wimbledon final? Cost him the match
1:20 that’s why dallas cow boys are better
10 most shocking moments in American sports, the rest of the world couldn’t give a shit
Baggio missing the penalty against Brazil is the biggest mistake of all time. At the time both countries were 3 times world champions, battling to see who would win Cup n#4 and be alone at the top of the world, and it was the first time that a World Cup was decided with penalty kicks. The entire planet was watching, including a lot of americans, cause the 94 World Cup happened in the US
This is an appalling list
If you have ti be complete about Karius mistakes, you have to mention that he suffered a concussion during the game tha,ks to a vicious elbow by Ramos
Robbing my Tigers of a no hitter was damn near Treason!
You can go back and splice in that no-call in the Saints-Rams NFC Championship game.
Why is the Sven Kramer incident not in the list?
How do you miss the hand of God goal? Argentina won the tournament.
Bartman didn't do anything wrong!
most shocking mistakes in American sports. You do know other sports exist
Cubbies & Red Sox won so all is well in Mudville
Anybody curious about what happened with Steve Bartman beyond that game around 8:00 should check out the documentary "Catching Hell"
Me a Red Sox fan: "How is Bartman not #1?"
*Sees actual number 1*
Me:Oh, I see now.
Dov'è il rigore di Montero su Ronaldo?
There's no american sports in the real most shocking sport moments
accidentally intercepted a foul ball? yis bah....thats a joke. he tried to catch it. morons
2:52 your voice
Ole Leon Lett did make a few dumb ass decisions in his career, lol, but dude was a beast! I'd take him on my team anytime!
2:50 lmao it's that cringy stream of consciousness guy that kisses Howard Stern's ass
World cup 2018 neur mistakes should have been q
Where tf is Gerrard's slip?
That was the biggest mistake in the history of professional sports
You know there are other sports in the world than American Football!
Buckner and Bartman don't deserve this flack because bigger mistakes occurred before Buckner's miss, and after Bartman's catch. Escobar should be number one simply for the tragedy that happened afterwards, and the Chris Webber TO has been stricken from record, so it never happened.
What about all the far dumber more costly mistakes made by umpires, referees and other associated officials?
Escobar wasnt killed for his own goal. He was killed becuase he picked a fight with the wrong person. The drug cartel bodyguard was pissed off with him for completely different reasons that had nothing to do with the own goal and he shot and killed Escobar. The only reason the myth exists that he shot Escobar for the own goal is becuase the cartel guy simply used that own-goal situation as an insult by the time they were already pissed off with each other. So saying that Escobar died for scoring an own goal is bullshit and misleading. It bothers me everytime the subject comes up becuase people always believe the myth. You can tell WatchMojo doesnt do any research, and now more people are going to believe the myth
Boston still had a chance to win the series, Boston fans u have the pats, stop bitching. This is coming from an eagles fan.
Stopped watching as soon as I realized it was Mojo and their narrator. People who watch sport clips on RU-clip just want to see how they originally aired, not with the dumb commentary.
Documentaries that cover some of these moments: #7 ESPN 30 For 30 Four Falls of Buffalo (Though it's was really about Don Beebe's play), #3 ESPN's Catching Hell, #2 ESPN's The Two Escobars, #1 partially covered in Catching Hell
To Karius defence, the guy had just received a concussion to his head.
baseball in its self is a shocking mistake of a sport
11 years in prison xD
Who’s here after super bowl 53
Isaiah Thomas (detroit pistons) inbound to Larry Bird of the Boston celtics
Jim joyce's mistake is leagues above any other on this list. im sorry but that garbage
Jose conseco
You see that throw in goal was a mistake in itself for being allowed as you cant score a goal or own goal directly from a throw in
Yeah not anymore
doesnt even show Karius's bumbled plays, both of which are stupendous and happen in the same game....this is a waste of time.
Where was when a referee showed three yellow cards to one player in the world cip
The worst is Joyce’s call ruining the perfect game. A PERFECT GAME. 😖
Why no footage of Real Madrid beating Liverpool in the Champions League Final? Also, Real Madrid did not beat Liverpool 3-to-1! They beat them 3-1 (three one). PLEASE SAY THINGS PROPERLY!!
If you're going to refence an event, at least say it correctly! "Peter Enckelman allowed Olaf Mellberg's throw-in" doesn't make sense! Enckelman actually allowed Mellberg's throw-in to enter his goal!
The top biggest mistake in sports is calling Football "soccer".
The British invented that word by applying the "-er" naming convention, like Rugby = Rugger, to the "soc" in "association football." So deal with it.
Wow I was expecting Superbowl 49 Passing instead of running on here
Football626 Wasn’t a mistake - Lynch is terrible in goal line situations.
biggest mistake is letting West or Hernandez umpire in public.
Tom Yazel Well, having gone to an awful even for him game, at least he sucks fairly: he made bad calls that helped the Nationals, he made bad calls that helped the Reds; he made bad calls that helped the pitchers, he made bad calls that helped the hitters..and everyone is so used to his incompetence that nobody bothered to argue with him.
I was one of the millions watch Mr. Galarraga’s stolen perfect game. He was so excited as he raced to first, certain (as the rest of us were) that he had beaten the runner. When Joyce called the runner safe, Galarraga gave a “you’ve got to be kidding” look. Most other pitchers would have thrown a tantrum. His grace, good sportsmanship (and the usually superb Joyce’s tearful realization of his blown call) made them both winners in my book. I can still see Miggie Cabrerra clutching his head in disbelief. It will always be the most vivid perfect game in my eyes.
Killing an athlete. sport evens matter more than their own life.
Looks like WatchMojo slipped over. If you know what I mean ;)
Y'all gonna update this after the Sunday championship games?
Dee Ford offsides and the non PI PI. LOL
why didn't they review it at 620
Colten Lang Didn’t exist then...and might not exist had that been called right.
Just saying the guys' name sets people off -- Too funny!
a not so fun fact about #7 is that Leon Lett's mistake screwed his mind up for the rest of his career. It sucks, because he was a great player who is now only remembered for his dumb mistake.
Katie Holt And the game-losing dumb mistake (I’ll never forget the announcer saying “It’s Leon Lett - NOOOOOO!!!!”) on Thanksgiving...
saints vs rams '19
omg
I hated Cubs fans after the "Bartman Affair." Seriously, four fans are all clearing reaching for that ball and in any baseball game, everyone in the area tries to catch a foul ball. Shameful to blame that poor man for what was essentially horrible play by the Cubs.
but he was wearing Coca-Cola glasses... and the Cubs are a Pepsi team
CorsetGrace Thank you
Why didn’t they show the footage of the UCL final mistakes despite mentioning it?
More like worst sports mistakes made in America lol. Once again let these Americans live in their own bubble.
NHL 1995 play-offs Quebec Nordiques disallowed goal when on a delayed penalty they would have been 3-0 at the end of the first period but they lost 3-2 in ot to the Rangers and a 3-1 lead in the series for the Rangers Ref Van Hellemond said he blew the whistle before the puck was in the net but there is video the whistle was after the puck was in net
un-fk'n believable somebody gets shot in the back and killed for a mistake in a game................
Gerard’s slip?
Allan Donald drops his bat and loses the World Cup semi final?
This list is American af
Why is it called World Series when its only held in US?
4:47 that goal from the throw in shouldnt have counted, according to Enckleman he never touched it (even though his reaction says otherwise)
#2 Jesus Christ! Overreaction much? And just 11 years? The bastard murderer should have gotten LIFE in prison!!
I accidentally scored on my own net
Didn't it come out that Karius had been concussed earlier in the game? And therefore he made loads of mistakes?
Jim Joyce was the most hated man in Detroit that day.
What's the point in the Karius one if you haven't got the footage? Gaaaaaahhhhhh...
The hand of God which was an obvious handball by Diego Maradona that helped Argentina win the qf game and eventually win the World Cup
Would it kill you to look internationally a bit more?
Escobar was legit murdered over a stupid game.
Sports fans are literally the biggest degenerates in the world
SonicGlitchmaster1 Huge fucking difference between “sports fans” and “cartel psychopaths who happen to like sports”
Cubs would still have lost that game
"...John van de Velde was posed to be..."
How odd.
Steven Gerrard misses Liverpool penalty on last game of premier league season, allowing man city to take the trophy
I thought European football hooligans were the saddest lowlives on the planet. It seems other sports have their scummy fans. Violent chants, death threats and even a murder. 🤦♀️
I’m not opposed to rival mentality per se, just keep it under control. Sport is supposed to be fun.
I hate that i know exactly what the thumbnail is.
How is the minneapolis miracle not on here.
How about the relocation in Arizona, making the Coyotes.....a hockey team in the desert??????? Ya no
What sort of a list of this without Sergio Ramos penalty shoot out for Real, Gerard’s infamous slip against Chelsea...
I don’t think people understand the baseball one about the perfect game, it’s like so rare 🤦🏻♀️
I was watching this and I got the the end of two and I’m like aw man the bill Buckner thing isn’t there but i was wrong
Buckner was a damn good hitter
Where’s Ray Finkle’s missed field goal in Super Bowl XVII??
4th and 93
Top 10 Most Shocking Mistakes in North America Sports
There are plenty of third world channels that show soccer bloopers. Watch those instead.
Jr Smith should have been on here lol
how jr smith not on this list
