This is such a helpful and to-the-point video thanks so much. How do you get the printshop to match colors exactly? Do you reference a pantone guide? I'd dread reprinting over and over to correct colors.

This was really great to see all of the elements coming together. I love to watch how other people use photoshop as well - there's always several ways of doing the same thing :)

Hi Jess! Do you have any tips or advice on how you chose your scanner and printer?
Your channel is really helpful and encouraging. I've tried digitizing my paintings/illustrations via my friend's scanner but was never really satisfied with the scans. I found taking pictures of the paintings with a DSLR were more effective.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. I work in watercolor and I wasn't really happy with how the scanner picked up the colors/how the painting absorbed the light.

Nicolette Bautista hi Nicolette, I read a bunch of reviews before choosing my scanner... I was never really happy with the scanner on my printer which is why I decided to get a more professional model. Some artists do decide to use a dslr, which is totally fine! I think it depends on the medium of your work, scanners are not the best at picking up any 3D texture, so if you're working in acrylic or oil they might not be great. πŸ€“

Hi, Jess! I recently found out your RU-clip account and it was awe inspiring for me. It made me realised that i love what i do even if sometimes is hard as hell.
Since June i started a project. I see it as a future book. I am kind of a (starter) fashion illustrator.
My idea is that everyone has a story. Each and everyone of us can be a storyteller at the end of a day. But we are in such a rush that we don't have time anymore. Time to share that story nor listen to someone else's. So, in that case, we chose to wear our personality. Nobody dresses exactly like other person in this world.
It will be awesome if you would like to join my project. Basically, being a part of this project, is about an illustration of you wearing an outfit that tells something about you and an article (interview or story)
    Do you want?

And also I'm so eager to watch ur video about printing tutorial. Till now i still have some issue to print my artwork in cmyk mode, especially when working with darker color. It always turn out so dull and blackish. I hope u can give me some suggestion with ur next tutorial c:

L Moore I'm so glad it was helpful, thanks! Printing art is really a trial and error type thing, which can be frustrating... it took me quite sometime to figure out a formula that worked for me, more coming soon! πŸ€“
