High refresh rate & low response time monitors are great, but having a G-sync monitor makes everything better. With G-sync, you can eliminate screen tearing, stuttering, lag and more. I made this list based on my personal opinion, and i tried to list them based on the things they have to offer. If you have any other recommendations, please feel free to comment below.

Don’t buy the Alienwear monitor, it have major fault on monitor panel. I own this monitor since early 2018, and it break 3 time in a year. Every time is screen issue. The third monitor broken down just last weekend, still wait to ship back to dell support. It’s a very expensive monitor and don’t waste your time for the same mistake happens on me.
But dell does have a good warranty services. They swap both first and second broken monitor, and since the third just break, I decide to go through refund. And they process it now, it just four days, the customer service keep me update, so far so good. If you want a dell monitor, buy others, just not these particular models.

    • David Whitfield
      David Whitfield 8 months ago

@Kdo Kdo Yeah i mostly agree unless you got the money to blow then might as well get the real thing as updates with software patches kill anything also the better panels are all gsync so depends what you are looking for ultrawides mostly. Also think it is called gsync ultimate they are trying to separate it even nvidia said it is not quite as good in the press briefing.

    • Kdo Kdo
      Kdo Kdo 8 months ago

@David Whitfield not worth the money u have to agree on that. Like i said its barely visible. AND ITS NOT FREESYNC ANYMORE bro free gsync

    • David Whitfield
      David Whitfield 8 months ago

@Kdo Kdo Very few monitors support it about 5 actually and those that don't have major issues it isn't full gsync it is called gsync ultimate because it is not the same thing. Gsync panles use hardware in the monitor that works flawlessly gsync ultimate is just adaptive sync.

    • Kdo Kdo
      Kdo Kdo 8 months ago

@David Whitfield its not even freesync anymore u acutally turn on gsync check some vids on yt where they test 2 monitors at the same time and notice no difference except a huge prize diff.

    • David Whitfield
      David Whitfield 8 months ago

@Kdo Kdo it absolutely is freesync barely works correctly and only a handful of monitors are supported like 4 or 5 lol. I have used freesync and gsync gsync works more flawlessly with less hiccups.

Suad Memo G-Sync only works if you have a gaming PC with a Nvidia graphics card equipped. Free-sync only works if you have a AMD graphics card equipped. So don’t think abt getting neither if you don’t have them.

who will buy gsync after the last nvidia driver ! you can buy freesync monitor for cheap and enable gsync on it !!!

  • Jeff Taylor
    Jeff Taylor 8 months ago

The one comment I would add, as I have the AW3418DW (which I am very happy with) is it has a relatively low 100 hz native setting, and the overclocking is not guaranteed to 120; some people get as low as 105, and most get something in the middle towards 120, I personally get about 118. It isn't a killer by any means, but be aware that the 120 is a non-guaranteed level over OC'ing. That being said, the colors are amazing, and about the only three nits about the montor are: needs gamma adjustment out of the box badly, contrast is a bit low, in reality about 850:1, not 1000, and the issue of non-guaranteed overclocking. That all said, calibrated, and with a decent unit its very hard to beat unless you have to go higher in refresh to say 144 or more.

      Dilio Matias 8 months ago

milplayer19 Like I said you’re prone to it. But if you’re confident you won’t mind the screen tearing then by all means forget about g sync. Especially since G syncs makes monitors a lot more expensive lol

    • milplayer19

@Dilio Matias ive never notice it unless i get like 40 fps

    • Dilio Matias

Hey I am just learning that I need a monitor for the game I play on XBOX (ROCKET LEAGUE) ... I am becoming real good at the game but I do realize I am at a huge disadvantage compared to most other players at my rank level bcuz most if not all are playing with a gaming monitor which is giving them way better gaming quality then I am getting using my old TV .. so my main question is would you happen to know if it’s is better for me to use a CURVED or FLAT monitor for the one game I play ROCKET LEAGUE ... I did watch a bunch of RU-clip comparison videos and everyone is saying curved is better but they are basing it off of a shooting game ... no one has went into details about curved or flat playing the game rocket league ... so do you have any idea what I should go for curved or flat ?

I have a question for my Gsync fam, with gysnc monitors, when you have it enable, do you actually get your monitor refresh rate?
For example, I have a 144hz refresh rate Freesync monitor but once I enable Freesync it says 30-90hz and that peeves me to no end. I was wondering if gysnc has the same thing if it's advertise as a 144hz, 165hz etc only to give you less when enable. Your input is appreciated!

    • David Whitfield
      David Whitfield 8 months ago

All gsync monitors work at the refresh rate of the monitor you must not have a great freesync monitor as it should utilize the refresh rate of the monitor with freesync enabled.

@DG There is e.g. Asus monitors in that list (by the way list is growing) which are way cheaper than G-sync and other stats are the same otherwise. So your point was? And top of that do you really believe that only 12 works? Digital Foundry has proven that's not the case. ru-clip.com/video/BeYRVt-kO6A/video.html and they are usually right. But if you wanna pay way more for something that isn't mandatory, go ahead :D

No doubt listed all 5 are the best in their performance but If you haven't tried Dell Alienware 1900R yet, you really should. The level of smoothness is difficult to describe but man it is superior - there are videos on the subject if you are curious and need convincing. Coming from many non-adaptive refresh monitors, I will not go back. Absolutely great buy! If you want that extra gaming experience and have few bucks to afford it, you will be absolutely delighted by this product.

If you don't mind the UNACCEPTABLE amount of light bleed the crap monitor has in all 4 corners.
