Thanks for your great review. Is Ruf pronounced like roof or rough? I would have said rough. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

RUF front bumper and "aero" mirrors make it a RUF car? That's absurd.

Good video but you make it sound like the owner "swapped over enough Ruf parts to call it a Ruf" when presumably it's a one of the Porsche VIN conversion cars originally built by Ruf themselves? Meaning there's no difference in the end except for the title
It's a misconception that Ruf strictly makes cars using Porsche blanks with their own VIN

I like the green Lotus Evora GT better, and that you can see in the background at the start of this video. The Evora GT review was also done today. In comparison, this RUF 996 RTurbo seems like a fat, overstuffed and overdone car, and I prefer the lightness, and agility of the Lotus.

you don't like the RUF, it shows. however, the countach you just bought was my dream car until I saw the interior on a tv show. The countach interior couldn't look worse. the lambo looks like the deisigners copied a fiero dash in the inside and without the kriesegg exhaust they sound rather weak/garbage. Also, the pedals are too close together for any man 5'8" and taller and the cluth is heavy. lastly, the countch is sloooowwww compared to that RUF. but hey, enjoy the countach you own!

    PLU5 FIVE 5 months ago +1

love the excuses to say its officially a RUF Porsche But, its because of this, this, and this, with an approval from ronald mcdonald, with my thumb up your ass,etc its now official...lmao, if you buy a "real" RUF, there is No explaining to do...Oh, after i converted enough of it to RUF, its pretty much a RUF cause they said so👌ok buddy, if it makes you feel better...

    Farah once again, a moron.
All people who can't drive well and are afraid of the last hard to manage 911, the 996, all claim it's "ugly" "bad interior" etc etc.. just like the e60 M5, it keeps the posers away with a "bad rep". I'm glad they are hated on, they'll still be cheap when I'm able to afford one.
    I'll take a silver over black leather 996 gt3 and a red e60 M5

Really wish I could have got Matt to drive my 996tt before I sold it. It made 731 hp to all 4 wheels and 705 ft lbs of torque. So roughly 400 more crank horsepower than this RUF. Oh well... maybe someday I'll rebuild bigger and badder and then Matt can have a go haha.

ITT: people who conveniently forget that Matt still puts videos out of his own reviews.
Zach is great and people still bitch about how Matt needs to come back and Zach needs to go away. Matt puts out more videos than people are willing to admit
