Beautiful! And the whole setup only cost $900. It looks really nice and well-made if you can afford it, but paying close attention to the assembly... if you've got the tools and more time than money, it's definitely possible to build this stuff.

Back when I was a kid , around the time plastic was invented the only work bench and storage I had was out old kitchen table and a couple of Converse gym shoe boxes !!! This is much nicer. I think I'll take up model building once more.

When you dry assembled the first rack, you had the bottles staggered. Easy to look the row behind it. But when you had it assembled, i think you have swapped to levels. The middle ones are not staggered any more. Nonetheless, a very nice layout :)

I've got some of these organizers and they're great, as long as you measure your space EXACTLY - because they are exactly the sizes they say they are, and if you assemble them by the book, you get NO leeway.

Just curious what paints do you use. lacquer, enamels or acrylics. And do you shake them up every once in a while to keep them from thickening up like enamels do.

Unfortunately I don’t have the space for anything like the storage I could do with, I manage by keeping only the things out that I use the most and everything else gets stashed away in draws cupboards etc, only drawback is I forget I have a certain paint or other consumables and end up buying more, my suppliers must think I am crazy.

I feel I need my drawers about 6 In. higher than the benchtop so as not to block opening them since the bench is normally in a perpetual clutter. I do clean it up after I finish a project, but as any hobbyist knows, any horizontal area is doomed to clutter.

  • Phu Vet

Anything sturdier? I had the paint module and after 3 months it had warped sections from spills and teeth that broke off from just daily use. I didnt buy the drawer units because sturdier units were already in place that i built from cheap white wood from home depot. This euro laser cut stuff could be much better if they used abs or a poly material. The tool holder was bought by a friend and he could not find many tools besides brushes and xacto knives would fit.
The sprue holder is a nice idea but better versions exist for much less made from washable abs.

This is a wonderful "dream workshop", if you can afford it! But many of us, are fortunate enough to purchase a kit, once in awhile. This hobby, has become like, so many other aspects of this life, for the wealthy and in some instances, the ultra wealthy. Not every modeler, is overloaded with this much "disposable income". And if you don't have it, too bad, this hobby, is absolutely out of control, and has been.......
