    Thank you for showing the wonders of the peruvian amazonian cuisine. If you think that the food was good, so now imagine eating all of these magic food in the middle of the jungle while watching the amazon river, that is one life experience. :)

    Im sorry u had to drink that aguajina fermented. It is not supossed to be like that. Actuslly that restaurant is not a good one for amazonian food, but great u ate amzonian food.

    I love how you really describe the food for example nwhen you ate the fish in the leaves. I love how you described the different levels of taste as you eat more deeper in the dish. That is is one of the reasons I love many of your RU-clip channels !

    you ate the right juane. Juane from Rioja or Moyobamba in San Maetin is the best. it is very soft, no egg, no olives and not excessive turmeric like they do it in iquitos or pucallpa.

    The chicken was under cooked ! I cook for a living . If chicken is not cooked it's slimy and pink. Even with crispy skin!

      That's the way it's prepared in the peruvian jungle. Those hen are not industrial. Those are black feathered organic raised hen. Peru is one of the only and last countries wer people are extremely picky wih food and there's a market demand for organic raised hen. Peruvian are willing to pay more for this kind of meat.

    My childhood best friend moved in Lima when I was very young, so I'm quite fascinated by this. Its been over a decade last I've seen her but I still remember our friendship with warmth. I love seeing a glimpse of the life and food culture there.

    I'm from the U.S. but live in a jungle town in Peru. Loved the drink aguajina until I discovered it has estrogen in it, great for a woman but not for men and I am a guy.

    I had a friend that lived in Chile for 1.5 years. He says locals don't eat out. Most of these places are almost always empty, way too overpriced, and locals eat the same food and better than what these places serve for ten times less. Only tourists go out to eat in much of south America, so it's not surprising to see you as the only customer paying out the wazoo for local food. But it is great food!

      samuski36 it's very different in Lima, people go out to eat all the time, that is why it has become so big and it is considered one of the best cuisines. Mike probably went to that place early for convenience
