It's better to buy a car then these as it's so expensive...why would one be so foolish to spend $2000 for a cycle like this ? Rather make one

Hey, I rented what looked just like a model T but yet kind of like this. I rented it for 1 hour, the longest hour of my life. Kicked my butt, I peddled like the wind & went nowhere. Slow, & hard to peddled. 21 speed would make it a nice ride, is it safe for the street? legal?

    • david esktorp
      david esktorp 3 months ago

Who cares? 21 speed can outrun any squad car.

@Hamad Alrowaie Understandable. Their cheapest model (the standard, single-seat version) is only $2,124, however that is $124 more than I paid for my first car.

The problem is the wrong type of seating for pedaling _that seat will make your legs ache and give you a numb ass!* Why do you think a bicycle seat has no thigh/leg support on it for that very reason.

Back in 2015 I retired & wanted something different to ride around town to keep me in shape. I looked at several Quadricycles offered at the time the LLC Quadracycles at the time was their Company name & has changed since then.. To be honest the Quadra Sprint was the best bang for the buck in style, comfort, front rack & pinion steering , & shipping costs.. Although high priced it was comparable to other Quadracycles on the market as far as China made parts there are some but mostly made from Go Kart parts it is very difficult to find anything that is not made in China let's face reality but the most important it was designed & built by Americans in America.. Don't lose sight of the big picture.. I have owned my Quadra Sprint for three years & have just recently install an Electric Scooter Motor on my own with great results you can check out this install on my RU-clip Channel simply type in my name in the search box there you'll find a three part series enjoy...

Don't be dumb the parts alone will cost 1/2 the price of the quad $2000.00 is quite reasonable with the work that does into making it very cheap recumbent trike start at $2500 AND Carbon Fibre $5000 upwards. You rich Americans can afford it

You need a reality price check. Any bike that is not a bog standard diamond frame is expensive. A standard, up right trike is ~$600 for a good quality bike. Recumbent trikes start at $900 and go up from there, with the price of a quality one averaging $2,500. The price of a quality bike though the history of cycling has been between the equivalent of $600 to -$1,200 once adjusted fro inflation (that is the price of a bike from the 1920's, 30's or 40's adjusted for inflation).
A $200 Wal'goose barely last a year under regular use. A quality single speed cruiser runs about $600 with entry level mountain bike that will withstand the punishment a trail can dish out starting around $1,000.

    Excellent rental bike.
Kids love them and for good reason, they can pick up speed and handle quite nicely on turns.
I would suggest a RAM BAR in front though.
Rental drivers will hit something with the front wheel and that is a HUGE problem.
Saved the vehicle MANY MANY times!

It's nice to see someone fill the space and compete with the Rhoades Car.
They (Rhoades) just haven't been very good since the original owner died and it was taken over by new management. The numbers of complaints about problems with poor construction and bad customer service have increased since the take over.

Nice clean design and finish. Only concern is those tires have to be causing a lot of drag compared to regular street tires. (I doubt traction is an issue with this cycle.)

    • Dindo Nuffin
      Dindo Nuffin 5 months ago

The tires are useless need road slick tires for asphalt roads pedal assist would be a bonus as I would think the quad would be heavy to pedal

  • Norfolk Monkey
    Norfolk Monkey 3 years ago

does it have a diff ?

    • pete smyth
      pete smyth 3 years ago

the front steer wheels control the turning radius- the rear wheels just follow and the inside rear scrubs a little without a diff.

    • Shindinru
      Shindinru 3 years ago

      +pete smith
Scrub's not the problem so much as a increased turning radius. Though the up side is it provides psi-traction for mud or snow.

    • pete smyth
      pete smyth 3 years ago

no it doesn't have a differential but at pedal power speeds, the scrub factor in turns is inconsequential.

    • Shindinru
      Shindinru 3 years ago

      +Ernest Bontrager
      That doesn't answer the question.
Does the rear axle have a differential?
I both rear wheels are providing power it's either a fixed axle or has some type of limited slip differential. If it is a solid axle then that effects it's turning radius and tire wear.

    • Ernest Bontrager
      Ernest Bontrager  3 years ago
