Could you go a little bit into detail as to how not to use the brackets they sent with the bags? You just brushed over the topic and I have that big question mark.

    • Bike N' Bird
Bike N' Bird  3 months ago

They're basically just strap holders. If you can get a strap back behind your strut, no need for them.

Great video review. Just one question. Will a 6-pack of beer BOTTLES fit in there? Or would I have to put the bottles in individually?

  • Michael Mendoza
    Michael Mendoza 9 months ago

Can you fit a riding jacket in there? I would assume if the jacket had armour in it that would be a no go, but the jacket I have only has a spine protector that can be easily removed.
    Diggin the vids and bike

If it was a light wind breaker type jacket or maybe a light hoodie yes. Don't think it would fit a heavy leather jacket

Bags clearly say essentials I don’t know why people are talking about size it’s not like my essentials are a f*cking mini fridge or gallon of milk they look fine it’s a dyna not a bagger it’d look wrong if it had full size bags.

To be more fair, a HD Roadglide or Street Glide, or any HD touring bike would have looked better, but I am a douchebagger rider and my opinion means jackshit! The bags on his bike look cool for what they are, they carry exactly what he needs them to carry, and they didn’t cost a small fortune to purchase. +bike n’ bird dude your baby bags look kick ass on your bike, don’t pay any attention to these “shoulda/woulda” bastards! Great video!

    • Bike N' Bird
Bike N' Bird  Year ago +1

+Dan Thompson im not mad, just calling a spade a spade. You've got 3 friends with positive opinions... great. Now look at the HUNDREDS of horror stories online. And when you're done with that, go look at the dozens of polls put up on dyna forums where leather pro CRUSHES them every single time. I would love some leather pros but they're also 3x the cost of these (which hold literally everything I need as demonstrated in this video). If I don't need bigger bags then why would I fork out the extra cash for them?

  • Jesus Orozco

Man I don’t know what’s it’s like in Texas but I had the biltwell bag on my bike similar to these and it got jacked... I got some hard bags that are pretty good quality off eBay for 100 with a lock and everything. They are small and look clean.

I hate bags but even I have a swingarm bag on my softail because sometimes you have to carry some stuff. Those bags actually fit pretty well with the tactical look and all. A bungee net over the seat hooked into those loops gives you even more functionality. Good stuff.

  • Papa Spaceflight
    Papa Spaceflight Year ago

The bike I bought came with bags on it. I thought I’d take them off, but I quickly realized how important they are. Even the day I bought it would’ve been difficult without he bags (I’d have no way to take my paperwork home). They’re awesome for all your little things so you don’t have to keep stuff in your pockets (which I hate)

Sooooo glad you posted this! I've been looking at trading my 17 FXDB in on an older Street Glide because I miss bags and a fairing so much. I carry too much for a backpack to be worth it when I ride to work. If the Street Glide path doesn't work out and I'm on the dyna for a bit longer, I'll definitely be picking these up!

Do you further pack/pad your DSLR when you bring it along? I would be nervous just popping in the accessory bag like that, but if you haven’t had any issues, it would certainly free up a lot of space!

    • Bike N' Bird
      Bike N' Bird  Year ago

+Wicked Hazel nope no padding. If I took less stuff I would put something in to fill the void but there's enough stuff to keep it from moving too much. DSLRs these days are tough.
