Yes, I had the same impression especially towards the end when the air flow caption appears to explain the dancing of the arc up the left probe. This video helped me conceptualize how much super sonic winds would have pushed the giant light bolts around our planet’s surface creating the geology of Death Valley which I enjoy exploring.
Electricity has a terrifying sound just at this small degree of current, I can't imagine what planetary scale current would seem like. We get lightning of course, but not arcs that last for a few seconds or longer. That would be intense.
