Sometimes, Ashley rides with her feet on the rear pegs, sport bike position. Time for her to buy a sport bike in addition?

Do you have to have a HD? We are Americans! We are all Brothers on TWO WHEELS! Include all of us and a WORLD Record would be easy! MAKE IT american made bikes !!!! COME on Do it!

@Adam Sandoval Great, I am all in for your wonderful efforts! I might even get to meet you when you are in South Louisiana! I thank every LEO and Vet for what they do!!!!

correct, we follow there rules. As for your ideas you are spot on and we are working those details.

@Adam Sandoval I guess Guinness has the stipulation of just HD's?
What if the original premiss was started off as American made bikes. That might work. Also, I know that when you try this again, there will be a few changes. Must have cycle endorsement, must be the right make. Maybe even do it at a time when it will be cool. Just some ideas... trying to help.

Sucks how "the culture" still discriminates and disrespects riders of other manufacturers. Wonder how many of those that broke down werent "culture" bikes?

How do you succeed..... by failure. Seems like a lot of angry people. But things weren't guaranteed. The point was to break the record and I didn't happen. The other point was to bring awareness and that did. Next year's knowledge Might get a world record and more awareness to a cause, a very great cause. Which high five Adam.

  • Richard Griffin
    Richard Griffin 7 months ago

Adam, Congrats on raising a huge amount of money for the Vets. I know what a disappointment not breaking the record but you will get it, you are not quitters! Our Goldwing Road Riders Assoc. tried to break the Goldwing record in Nashville in 2006 and did not due to the same reasons, if the rides says Harley or Goldwing record what do the other brand riders not understand! Good luck next year on the next attempt. I thank you again for your work for us vets, keep it up! And for God's sake get the damn Li.

Hey Adam. Just a thought. Heat seemed to be a big issue. Maybe moving the time of year for the ride or location. Like the northeast in October ;). Seriously take one of the elements that’s an issue for air cooled Harley Davidsons out of the equation.

  • jeff walker
    jeff walker 9 months ago

Adam, I think you should make the next attempt in the eastern part of the country.
The population density is much higher and if the ride is eatlier in the year ( say june or early July ) the temps will be much cooler.
    Appreciate everything you do sir.

I just got back from a 5,000 mile ride on my bike and am getting caught up on so many videos. Even though my throttle hand fingers are numb, I pinched a nerve in my hand, I had to respond to this vid. As an American I am bummed that y'all didn't make it. As a FORMER HD owner that realized that they are an overpriced piece of shit, I can understand WHY. HD corporate doesn't give a damn about their bikes or the people that ride them, they only care about turning the most profit they can muster. They even crapped on Adam when he really could have used their help. I would put money on it that had it been all Hondas, Kawasakis, or some other "Jap bike" that they would not have over heated or broke down in high enough numbers to change the outcome. But, that is exactly why I sold mine, got tired of it breaking down. Paying that much for a bike with such a high failure rate is stupid as shit and I won't ever give them another dime, especially since they obviously couldn't care less about riders. On a positive note: great job on raising so much money. Talk about a dedicated group of riders that are willing to put their money where their mouth is, y'all should be proud, now only if Harley would do the same! Nice try, Adam, you will eventually get 'er done.

Was there an attempt made to involve HD that the company rejected? Was HD given sufficient notice to plan and budget support of the ride? Was HD's non-involvement a company decision? I am just surprised that they wouldn't at least send out a rep and post some banners so I'm wondering if there was a decision on the part of HD to no be involved.

Hey Adam. I was doing some research on your Milwaukee 8 engines. The issue you apparently had is only for people who had the 114 conversion done to the engine. Apparently they should have the oil pump switched as part of the upgrade. I found a HD mechanic that has a channel and talks about it. Worth the watch -

Well, ..."MILWAUKEE -- A week of celebrating culminated Sunday, Sept. 2 with the Harley-Davidson 115th anniversary parade, which took roughly 6,500 bikers through the streets of Milwaukee." If they went for a record, this would have taken the cake. Maybe hire a promoter next time. Live and learn.

  • jeff morris
    jeff morris 10 months ago

Adam here is the thing. If it was easy everyone would do it and it wouldn't mean as much to achieve. You had a lot stacked against you with the weather and heat. I understand a lot of riders don't have license M endorsements and I think that is really a problem. In Tennessee we can take a class and not have to test at the DMV and I learned a lot from my instructors. I think we have less than 50 percent of riders who are legal. That's not good . Safety is crucial. That said we are the Americans and you all will succeed on the next attempt I am sure. Thanks for what your do brother.

Adam congrats on a spectacular event.. although you didn't break the record more importantly you took on this Monumental task something that in no manner of speaking is an easy feat .. other than you I can't think of anyone who has or is willing to attempt something like this in the
Please celebrate Adam and miss Ashley you raised a ton of money and awareness for the CVMA , but more so you brought together the brother and sisterhood of the biker community far and near where new friendships and bonds were created and that is a gift to all....a huge thumbs up to Paris HD law tigers and Ciro 3d and all the dedicated volunteers and most of all to the lovely miss Ashley ..Adam u are so lucky to have someone who is there for you and supports u in ur quest to make a difference and helps makes ur dreams come true.... finally a big thumbs down to corporate HD you should have been there from the moment Adam announced that he was attempting this again...shame on u...
Your next attempt Adam I will pack up my 90 custom softail and make the trip from Vernon British Columbia to wherever you plan the next one count on it..

Pros My brother and I were part of a great cause and 32000 raised for charity. We both bought new Harley Davidsons and they survived the 800 mile round trip. Frog toggs are water proof and kept us dry through 3 hours of heavy rain with out being like a preasure cooker. We got to eat at Sirlon Stockade (didnt know they still existed). Had quality time with my 71 year old brother sporting his 2019 Silver Harley Road King. We both preregistered got our arm band and bike sticker got to see Paris Texas then come back for the parade and did everything right so we both counted. We get to do it all over again. Cons I lost 60.00 bucks on the craps table lol . I lost my cell phone to the rain (pro got an excuse to get a better one ) and we did not get to meet Adam Sandoval ,John Maxwell or Bike N Bird. And the final Con Blockhead did not come to the event. So see you guys next time the Lord willing.
