How
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
@Cinema Summary
Love how you reference the actors to previous movies.
Have a dam good day to cimema
I've never watched a TV show that left me crying and shocked throughout this whole Rollercoaster of a ride like Squid games has. Highly recommend to everyone. It's a must see. Can't wait for Season 2
Soft
Me too
@Josué Menjivar The only actual similarities is the Killing game aspect. Outside of that they aren’t similar in any way. Also I know it’s your opinion that SG was more emotional but imo it wasn’t. AIB hit me hard on the most relatable of feels while SG which did hit me, was way less as shown by the fact that I didn’t cry once during it and the only time I got close was the old man’s death but when I saw the camera moving to not show him die like they did for everyone else I was like ,” Ok something’s up with this old man.”
@Streetgamer 345 Alice in Borderland has a very similar concept to that of Squid Game, but it's not nearly as well executed, nor emotional as this one.
is there a version to blur violence stuff and deaths and u know stuff like that
character: *dies*
CS: And that was his BIGGEST mistake. What he should've realized was that dying statistically increases your chance of death to 100%. If it were me, I would simply NOT die. That way, I can increase my chances of survival.
bro how are you this good at imitating him
true lmao
Just don't die!
Your not entirely right but your absolutely not wrong
Lmao very true
Did anyone notice how in the glass bridge game, whenever someone pushed another player into the glass in front of them it ALWAYS ended up breaking and not being tempered glass?
@Siimply Flawless ♡︎☺︎︎ - Quit no, if that were the case, then they wouldn’t have been able to cross, because the other glass would break too
yessssss
It’s maybe because it all of the weight hit very quickly on to the glass even making the tempered glass break? Idk though, I’m not that glass expert guy.
true
If it was the case, then:
1st: I'd be hilarious
2nd: That's not interesting
In the marbles game, if your partner refuses to play they will be eliminated and not you. Rule #2 explicitly states that a player will be eliminated if they refuse to play. Therefore all Gi-Hun needed to do, was to explain to the guards that Oh-Il Nam (player 001) was refusing to play and Gi-Hun would have gone through.
001 died anyway
But he was old and the owner.
Doezn't it have to be a game they agree on? If not, I can just say I'll only play a game where you give me all your marbles unless a meteor strikes this building, and they'd be forced tp play. That game is just as impossiblr to win as the numbers game
@Huntsman I guess I forgot. I did watch it.
@Boda Zephyr it's obvious they didn't care no matter how clearly he explained it. They knew he was going to win anyway since the old man wouldn't be able to do the next games
@Tony the fake tomato Yes, he did, lol. Did you even watch the episode? He repeatedly begs the guard to disqualify the old man because he was walking away from him. Watch it again
During the big fight with 107 players left, couldnt someone just yell out "those 5 goons are by far the most dangerous clique, lets all unite and kill them first". Would be pretty easy, literally like 100 people ganging up on that clique
Thats dangerous too. People wouldn't necessarily take risk fighting 5 gangsters especially since others are mostly strangers as well even if they are numerous. Who would make the first action? All very risky. And whomsoever suggest that idea takes the risk of getting the animosity of the 5 gansters towards them.
you forget humans’ most fatal flaws.
1. lack of ability to think in life or death situations
2. lack of ability to care enough about another person as to work together with them lmao
this was clearly shown through out the show. everyone was hasty, greedy and something as simple as teaming up with women was seen as stupid.
in life or death situations, the human brain goes *brrrrrrrrrrrrr* and stops working. for example, the guy that played the marble game and killed his wife and then ended up killing himself. what was the point of killing her then killing yourself? just sacrifice yourself lmao
Moral of the story: Don't Gamble in a Death Game. Congrats you're ALIVE!
Thanks, next time I'm offered to play a death game I'll just have to remember to say no.
To be fair they weren't told its a death game, the staff said players would be "eliminated"
@Nana~chan I mean even if they leave the death game they are still in danger of getting killed by leon charts
If you look really closely at the glass in the Stepping Stones game, the tempered glass reflects more light than the normal glass, giving it a lighter tint. The difference is tiny, but still noticeable. 🧐
“This place looks like a death camp designed by ikea” made me laugh out loud
Fun fact: The businessman from the subway actually played the same actor as the father from train to Busan. I dunno if you knew this but the "hope the train isn't going to Busan" line was well placed
I personally think it was dumb to kill the glass dude. because it’s good to have extra people to cushion the blow. like the tug of war and marbles game you can never tell when you’ll have an absolute death game. the second to last “game” was an absolute death. the game masters needed to get at least one person out. and squid game is shown as a multiplayer game. in the beginning credits it’s gi hun is playing squid game and he is shown playing as the offense(1player) while his friends play as defense (3-4 players). this means that there could’ve been up to 4 winners but since it’s a kdrama obviously anyone who doesn’t suffer from main character syndrome would’ve died(the glass a man).and also at that point sang woo killing sae byeok would’ve made no sense since she would’ve probably died or gotten a chronic illness by the next game.
Tip to survive: be smart, be skillfull and be the main character
Bro I respect you
LEZZ GOOO PLOT ARMOR TOO OO
No be the camera man
@Josh Davis or be the camera man
Or just be the main character
Isn’t the glass game a 1/512 chance of winning? 2 possible choices for each trial, 9 overall trials and the probability is in fact: 1/2^9 or 1 in 512 attempts.
if you're number one, yes. it'd be alot easier if you were number sixteen though
I was looking for a comment like this, thank you. I got to that part in the video and thought "that's not how probability works" lol
He took 18 glass pannels, but like you said, it's only 9 trials each with a 50% chance.
Tempered glass still can be broken though. It's HARDER to break, but it'd probably crack violently if not shatter if you attacked it with the shoe jacket.
I thought there was going to be some type of big twist, like the organization also kills the winner (not because of the money, but because, what need do they have to leave a witness alive? Also, the survivor may make his life's mission to bring the organization to justice, and there is a lot of people disappearing here, and not all of them are friendless and relativeless.) Also, the workers are surveilled and mistrust either, so I thought that at some point they would rebel. The twist never came anyway.
As seen before they came back to the game, the police were hesitant to believe when reports come. The organization is probably rich enough to pay off the authorities anyway.
Even if a survivor makes it his life's mission to bring the organization to justice, what will he do?
Their probably so powerful that they are connected to the police, otherwise how could the games continue for so long?
Where will he pull his resources? From his winnings? His money is probably just a fraction of what they have since we know they organize this game every year.
did anyone notice that in the 5th game the players just could of used the rails like im am dumbfounded that they didnt try that
So basically, the best way to beat this death game, is to just never gamble in the first place. Easy enough.
Or just be either the main character with endless plot armor or the cameraman themselves
Write that down, write that down
Eyo
YOU AGAIN LOL 😂
Yup
for the glass game I would’ve taken somebody’s shoe. the shoes that they wear in squid game seem to be the same as a pair of converse or vans. these type of shoes are built with majority their weight at the bottom of the shoe. then I would take anything like hair ties or string (most likely the strap of a bra. tied it to the shoe and my hand. then just go about breaking the glass as I go. the glass that breaks is the weak glass. this way I can save time and relying on fate.
you don't even need a bra strap, the shoes come with shoelaces
2:05 everytime I saw the business man in the show, I always looked at him as the main character in Train to Busan
same
Okay that solution to the tug of war is really smart and it would've been awesome to see that in the show. Of course that means they have to go last because otherwise everyone would cheat like that. But imagine the dumbfounded guards and game master would be.
I've noticed all the hype around squid games, but I haven't watched it yet; but the first thing I thought of when I saw where they were standing with all their beds, it reminded me of prison. Specifically it reminded me of CMCF (Central Mississippi Correctional Facility) except the beds are only stacked two high.
I like how I’m not wasting my time on homework, but occupying my time with more important things like learning how to escape a fictional game of deadly red-light-green-light
Literally me too
@GoldBoxHunter ratio 😂people actually liked your brothers answer and I do too..bold 😬
True
True
same
Honestly, if I were to be in a situation like this and by some miracle I win all the games up to the glass game, the glass game will be the one I lose at, considering it’s a game of random chance.
I have a question about the old man. What would've happened had he been killed during tug of war, red light green light or attacked at night? The only game they could've rigged in his favor was red light green light. Maybe have him not be detectable, or the mgs are hooked up to a manual fire mechanism so they could just avoid hitting him. But I don't see an out to tug of war for him
He wasn't tied to the rope like everyone else
What I really liked in the first subway game was he got slapped for his stake several times
but when he won rather than the cash he'd won he appeared to want to slap this fella back very much. HA HA !
I was feeling it so hard for the old man till the end... the betrayal...
Ok, on my way to learn the difference between tempered and regular glass, learn to invest so I never gamble, and take some self-defense classes to avoid a steak knife stabbing
Honestly out of all the “games” I gotta say the most terrifying one has to be the tempered glass and normal glass
@Grape Yup I agree, but it would be cool to show them try these tactics. In life or death situations, the human mind races to find solutions. Literally the first thing I thought about when I saw the game was "find a way to test the glass in front"
@Laven Lofi thing is, the game isn't fair in the first place. It's meant for entertainment. I bet the manager would've shot whoever balanced on the beams since that's boring for the VIPs. They even turned off the lights when they realized the glassmaker could tell which glass was tempered through light, who's to say they won't prevent this technique?
@Princess Alexandra Wisest decision. So would I.
@Laven Lofi Yes, they said they must use the glass panels to reach the other side.
@Botten Botten ok well maybe you right but again don't forget they had no tennis shoes they were told to leave the shoes at start of game.
I am sure if one had tried to return to get the tennis would of been shot for breaking the rules.
Remember the game master wanted a good show for the VIPs.
i would actually want to play squid game, as i have large amount of knowledge on all of these games, and this video helped with mt strategies. u might think im crazy, but i believe i could win it as long as i dont go getting attached to anybody else who is participating, knowing that would be my single downfall.
At the 5th game try unscrewing the light bulbs and throw them as hard as you can, if it breaks go to the other glass and keep repeating the process, they had enough light bulbs
I love how you blur out all the blood and all that yucky stuff thank you :)
On red light green light there’s a small part of sand a little close towards the end,if you kick it up when the doll says red light the doll won’t see you run to the finish line. And another way to survive ALL of the games is:be skillful and smart
Fun fact:the next season for squid games is coming out this year but it will take a while and maybe another year.
Julius Caesar was the biggest betrayal
*in walks Ali*
@Faiza Kamal 456 made it out of all the games with a time limit with less than 3 seconds remaining very relistic
@Pardeep Singh Bhangu the best character
@mehmet atila He had no choice his boss did not pay him.
D: noooooooo ali
For the the tug of war game instead of just pulling you can all run the other way
Tip to survive:
1. Be the Main Character
2. Be the Camera Man
3. Be a background Character that Isn’t in squid game
4. Don’t be in the movie at all
I had a tug of war match at my school and i was in the back and wrapped the rope around me we had no ref so I did that and started walking backwards and tugging on the rope i carried my class so hard in that game so thank you nerd cinema summary
To survive the glass stepping stones you could simply punch the glass as hard as you can to see
Ali's kindness was what killed him and that's heartbreaking.
what
Ik, mine and my sister’s favourite characters.
I wish he didn't actually doe like 001
well, in these types of situations, it's everyone for them self. It sounds brutal, ik, but there's only going be one winner out of hundreds so why risk yourself for someone else when everyone is going to die either way? :')
😭
The game Nim, reminds me of the Cyberchase episode, where in order to gain their freedom, the Cybersquad had to beat their captor Hacker, in a similar game. However, this was played with mostly green dragons, and 1 red dragon. Each team could choose to take either 1, 2 or 3 dragons. For the first 2 rounds, whichever team was left with the red dragon, lost. But for the final round (it was a tie before then), the team had to actually TAKE the red dragon, in order to win. Don't worry, the Cybersquad won, but my point is this. They used similar tactics, using "poison numbers" to their advantage. Poison numbers, were basically numbers they had to avoid getting, in terms of dragons, if they wanted to win
The only problem I wondered about is since this video has a lot of views, there is a good chance 456 of the people that watched this video are gonna be in the same squid game and will attempt to do the strategies taught in this video. For example, trying to hide behind someone as a strat you and everyone else learned in this video will result to everyone in one line.
Glass man waiting till the end to announce his ability was the best move, 1st couple of panels he looks at will force them to cut the lights out so he would’ve had to guess the last 16 panels in the dark instead of the last couple..
I LOVE Korean Horror, just reviewed some myself! Great video! +1 from me
I still find it hilarious that the doctor did so many things just to know the next game without realizing that all the games are literally plastered all over their sleeping room's walls.
@Johnny Vu It's to prevent the cheating and uphold the "fairness" that apparently the game masters were going for.
YES 💀
The bed was blocking the view so ur wrong:>
omg ikr
Yes indeed
I‘m getting goosebumps while watching this maybe because it’s mostly children games squid game is a masterpiece no questions asked
First video that actually explained in a comprehensive way how to play squid game
Kills me to hear Sangwoo be described as "the greedy man" haha I know you simplified your descriptions of the characters and plot cuz that wasn't the point of this video but I thought that was funny.
Before the marbles game, when the players were asked to team up with another one, my instant thought was: They're going against each other. At least one of the players could have thought about it.
Ali's death was the most heartbreaking one. He trusted his friend with his marbles and was killed completely cold heartedly by him. And he had so much more to live for, a wife and a young son. His "friend" knew it and still stole his rightful win (life)
Who is Ali
he should have known better to trust people in a game where there’s only one winner and losing=death. i also felt bad for ali but sangwoo wanted to win and survive, so he did what he had to do. tired of all of this Sangwoo slander cuz half of y’all are no better 😩😩
@miguel ortega Fr.. I actually believe that there was plot twist in there where they can both survive. Lol.
@Desire Henry Literally, and Gi Hun was always bragging his childhood friend, Sang Woo, about how smart he is, that he's the prodigy of their town, and he went to SNU. So Ali definitely thought that he's kind. And Ali is a foreigner whose been mistreated. A rare act of kindness, like someone giving you money for bus fare can definitely touch your heart. So yeah, I can't blame Ali for trusting. And I can't blame Sang Woo either. I understand them both.
That Red Light, Green Light Massacre scene was perhaps the most terrifying scene in the series. I mean, if that didnt emphasize how serious a situation the games were, then oh well
As a wise, flying metal dorito once said:
"Not meaning to call you a coward, master, but sometimes cowards do survive."
Okay, just so I know. Which glass panels are tempered? The nearly invisible ones, or the very visible ones? It's hard for even me to tell, even when I pause the video for more time to study it
I use the strategy for nim on my parents and my brother and it worked like a charm🙂
Player 67 was the one who deserved the win the most. The writers had to nuke her with a glass shard so the main character could actually win, because without a divine smite by the writer, she would have absolutely dominated every game, and you can't change my mind on this
I agree
@Scatmanjohn the main character DID deserve to win he's been through his daughter hating him,his mother in a bad condition, them being poor and not being able to afford many things, offering a OLD MAN to join their team and so much more crap he didn't deserve
Well yeah but Gi-hun's been through some shi* .
I wish he included detective hwang joon ho to show how he could of beat it aswell
You know I feel so sorry for the old man he was so happy until marbles level 😢
I feel like a good way/ the safest way to beat red light green light, is to crawl: 1 other people can’t really move you unless they are getting killed themselves.
2 very easy to stop and stay still quickly
3 very easy not to reach the finish time before time runs out
"they're playing a new game called kill you childhood friend" don't know why but that sent me laughing XD
Ali's fate was so unfortunate. He was really my favorite character in the show. And he died in the worst way getting betrayed by your team.
@I eat ashes Nope
@Mia C your joking right?
And the best thing he is represented by an indian
@Potential Roadkill🇷🇺 yeah :(
The amount of times this man has been sponsored be current is insane
ok here’s something i figured out when playing odds and evens at school. when it would be my turn to ask the other person i was playing with, i would always say which one i had first. For example, if i had four marbles in my hand, i would say “Evens or Odds?”. if i had three, i would say “Odds or Evens?”. I used this against my opponent and won easily, because whichever one they would say first, i would guess it.
here's a pattern in the glass game. if there's 2 right panels in a row, you would have to switch. it's literally by logic
If i was in the honeycomb game, the gaurds would be like: "JUST PICK THE GOD DAMN SHAPE ALREADY"
Ali's betrayal was so dirty, that blind faith really does get you killed.
@Josh Smith I dunno if she completely passed out, maybe she could've uttered to give up just to survive. Gi-Hun even said that she could've been saved but the only way to save her was to give up the game and give her medical care. I think the director wanted to give Sang-Woo a motivation to kill her without making him a maniac like Deok-Su, who killed for fun. So he got her heavily injured already. Her injury seemed just too convienent to me though, it was clear that the director wanted to get rid of her.
@honey_lemon I agree with you, we all would've done the same thing but 199 and 067 were the best characters and he killed them both :(
@Josh Smith Same, I even thought that he's the main villain (actually he is) but at least he killed himself in the end, so it was kinda fair. Anyways he killed Sae Byeok and Ali, they were 2 best characters, so I hate him.
@Josh Smith
She was losing blood and almost passed out, but she wasn’t dead. Plus, that just proves that sang-woo killing her didn’t even matter, so why would you be against it? He just ended her suffering sooner lol
You can’t rlly hate a character… For killing other characters… In a game where you’re meant to kill other characters lmao

If you're cunning enough, I would agree that you can win this death game by manipulating it the shadows.
18:45 I assume in the candle experiment the subjects were told the candle must be lit. You didn’t mention this and therefore my first thought was, okay, don’t light the candle and it won’t drip wax. Duh.
One way to survive if you were caught in this situation don't sign the contract if you survive the first game and choose to not come back the guards nor game creator will know you left the games.
NOOO THE OLD MAN WAS MY FAVORITE HES SO SWEET NOOOO
EDIT: NEVERMIND I GOT TO THE ENDING AND IM NOT SURE HOW TO FEEL
@Warren Miranda because he didn’t want to force people to play the game. It had to be completely their choice, and since he was the creator of the game, his decision to continue playing would be unfair
He actually never died
Lol
@Sparklers so?
@Rick his name is Ali WAHH
How to survive a death game 101: *be the main character*
The lady that took the gangster dude down is an absolute LEGEND
Props to this guy for posting the video before it got insanely popular.
Something I would have done is ask others for their bras in the glass game and tie them together Some bras have METAL clasps I would swing the bra rope with the biggest metal part on the end at the glass it should then Break the weaker glass
ali wandering around aimlessly calling out for sangwoo literally broke me

@ndtb 😭😭😭
one thing i never understood was why cho sang-woo didn't tell gi-hun after cho suggested teaming up, more so since telling them would help the team. did he fear others hearing and skewing the game to a point where it would be cancelled?
when i first watched Squid Game it was so good it’s almost nostalgic
I still do not understand why the glass maker didn't dropped the marble on his flass panel first to hear this sound and then he could have thrown it onto the bars infront of him
20:01 imagine guards just pulls out popcorn and start watching them kill eachother
The glass bridge game actually punished the players for eliminating their competition. The more players there are, the higher chance the average player has of survival.
@Cryptic Cobra but we saw in the game is that when the last three players made it it took like 3 seconds for the glass to start shattering so if they were like 3 tiles left for them to jump they would make it
makes no sense tho bc they should’ve tended to the wounds from the glass game, sae byeok wouldve died bc of it either way even tho she literally survived that game
@Mark Wilson no need for any explanation, MrBeast hosted a squidgame, and just like the other guy said, it became a problem when there are too many people since nobody wants to go first when there are too many. Also time doesnt matter since people will only move when they are time pressured, so most of the time are wasted testing the patience of other players.
@Jo Lemieux Simple bruv you have got a Brain
@Mark Wilson Wow! Your smart.
Most of these method would get you killed still. Same with the glass. They turned off the light because the guy had a method. They don't want your 'method' they will rig it more because they want you to play their game, not yours.
Fun fact: If Gi-hun choose the red folded paper he would have been a guard
12:05 thought I was the only one who knew this trick lol
"they aren't playing squid game anymore, they are playing a new game called kill your childhood friend"
LMAOOOO
As a former art student I absolutely LOVED the visual contrast between the game and real life. Everything in the game is filled with highly saturated color and exaggerated size to give an illusion of happiness of innocence (as if you are a child) while making you feel small and helpless. The real life scenes are gray and hopeless, despite the hopeful nature of life
You don't need to be a former art student to notice this.
@Harry Su if you saw the ending with the old man, he explains he wanted to have fun like when he was a child. So creating an atmosphere that makes you feel more like a child is quite fitting
@Harry Su I don't think the premise of the show is that the games could occur in real life, I think quite the opposite. The front man explained how everyone gets a fair chance and is equal in here whereas it's not the same outside. So they believe this place is superior than outside. They play children games and the setting seems to be more child-like so I think it's suitable.
@A P V
J
sorry but I thought this highly saturated theming was highly counterproductive. the premise of the entire show is that these games could occur in real life, but the comical nature of the setting and goons make it hard to take anything seriously, not to mention the whacko soundtrack.
40:00 win by default, my favourite kind of winning
Everyone is now in a blood lust. Ragefully killing Everyone who stands.
"This is the best thing ever"
I swear my heart broke 3 times during the marbles game, but I take back the 001's death".
how to beat the last game:
when the person is near the out of bounds. tackle him out of bounds there you won easy 45 billion
I just now noticed that when Number 001, the owner, begged the players to stop killing themselves during nighttime violance, it was a command for the workers to interfere, since ya know, he's the boss
@e o
@Dusk Sunsetio Its ok, i really dont mind honestly. I came here for spoilers anyway
@Dum7meme I didnt finished the whole thing yet, i came here for spoilers.
@CinnaPurin I'm still in denial :(((
"There are no referees on the platform"
So The 2 Guards with a gun on each side arent referees?
This is one of the longest anti-gambling ads I've ever heard of
Let me save you 11 min of your life. The actual "How to win" starts at minute 11:00
"He did what he had to do to survive".
I am sure God will love to hear that excuse.
I think Ali's death was sadder than Sae-Byeok, because at least Sae-Byeok's brother is in good hands with Sangwoo's mother while Ali's family is left to wonder what happened to him and didn't get anything to compensate their loss. The consequence of his death was sadder, but both of their deaths had me crying
Ali’s family went back to pakistan
Saebyeok still has her mom n dad suffering in north korea plus she has more of a painful death
@Mike Joe no she wasn’t “already unconscious” did you even watch the show? Gi hun ran to her as soon as she fell on the bed and tried to aid her, she was breathing heavily and weakly got a few words out to him. Sae byeok layed there and suffered severe bleeding, begged to be taken home. She was only a kid. The fact that she was unable to defend herself this time makes it worse, she actually had a chance of surviving. But no, she gets brutally stabbed in the neck and even then, she felt every stab. You’re telling me she didn’t feel a thing? She was clearly conscious. In Ali’s case, we already knew he was going to die, it was pretty obvious so it wasn’t shocking. He was a grown man who trusted the wrong guy. His death was quick and painless. Sae byeok’s wasn’t.
@Jenny Prevish but i feel like knowing that ali is from pakistan maybe he will be able to find about him... because pakistani community in korea is quite small. Anyways it's just my theory 😂😂
Joker to Batman in marble
Joker:you have nothing to threaten me with, nothing to do with all your strength

“Stay behind someone”
20 seconds later “stay as far away from people as possible”
I laughed when the editor put the just deal with it on the man😂
In-glass stepping-stones the glassmaker could have unscrewed the lights on the sides to use as a second object to throw out the other glass
game 4
couldn't they all have just exchanged marbles with their partner? the rules didn't say you need 20marbles to win. you only need your partners 10
the fact that people didnt saw the unscrewable light bulbs for the glass game makes it rly hard bc the guy that exploited that game could of use those light bulbs just to hear the correct glass panel and maybe even get out alive and maybe even win the whole squid game.
lol squid game survivors are probably thinking about how useful this video would have been during the game.
For glass bridge i would ask a player to hold my hand and for other 2 players to hold our other hands and me and the player im holding hands with would put 1 foot on the panel because it would add up to a person and if it breaks they can pull us back and keep going
