Oh My God. Them after 45 years specially Froilan Maria 😭 But why were they saying she was 28 that time when she was born in 1935 and the movie came out in 1965?

    • Minny
      Minny Day ago

Raeven Del Talondata The Sound of Music began filming in March of 1964 and wrapped in September. Julie Andrews turned 29 on October 1, 1964. So the film was released when she was 29😊

All the more important to have recordings of singers in their prime because voices and change or diminished with age. By having such recordings the great voices can be enjoyed for generations to come. Linda Ronstadt is another example of a singer who lost their voice but at lease there are recordings and concert footage of her singing.

How *does* Oprah do it: she morphs from normal to ghetto in a split second. Must be "her truth" which is as silly and fluff as the queen of blabla herself.

  • Anna Maledon Children's Author

Christopher Plummer is still a stunner. And Julie of course too, but she had some plastic surgery done as reported by Washington Post, so... Anyway, I still love her as an wonderful actress and beautiful human being, she's so gracious and elegant all the time. This is what a real star behaves, dresses and talks like. A real lady.

  • Anna Maledon Children's Author

This show is from Oct 2010 and I'm so sad to tell you that 2 ladies from the cast are no longer alive. From wiki:
Heather Menzies-Urich (born Heather Margaret Brotherston Menzies; December 3, 1949 - December 24, 2017)[2] was a Canadian-American model and actress, known for her roles as Louisa von Trapp in the 1965 film The Sound of Music[3] and Jessica 6 in the TV series Logan's Run.[4] Heather Margaret Brotherston Menzies[5] was born in Toronto on December 3, 1949, to Scottish parents[6][7] who had emigrated to Canada after the war.[8] Her father was a struggling artist. By Menzies' 14th birthday, she had lived in Vancouver, Miami, London, and Southern California. She had one sister named Sheila.
Menzies married John Cluett in 1969 and divorced in 1973. She married Robert Urich in 1975. Urich and Menzies first met in 1974 while filming a commercial in which they got "married."[6][17] After his death in 2002, Menzies established the Robert Urich Foundation[18][19] and spent most of her time in her last years devoted to the organization that raises money for cancer research and support for cancer patients.[20]
Heather Menzies-Urich was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in November 2017.[3] She died on December 24, 2017.[21] Menzies-Urich was survived by three children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    And

Charmian Carr (born Charmian Anne Farnon; December 27, 1942 - September 17, 2016) was an American actress and singer best known for her role as Liesl, the eldest Von Trapp daughter in the 1965 film version of The Sound of Music.
Carr died in Los Angeles on September 17, 2016, from complications related to frontotemporal dementia at the age of 73.[13]
