Thanks for the video. When can I buy the Flex and is it suitable for Architects (in the UK)? I will be using Archicad, Photoshop, Sketchup and and maybe Autocad.

I wonder if the Flex would be a better purchase than the Surface laptop 3

Solid review. You went straight to the selling points. It was open and candid. Hoping you get test drive the actual product soon.

Both are beautiful, but I really like that Flex. It's like the Samsung answer to the HP Spectre x360. And it looks nicer! Me want...

Samsung needs to make 4K laptops again or maybe even 3k again. Enough of this FHD stuff.

The only thing I really don't like is the bottom chin. That is way too big when flipped into tent or tablet mode. Also curious how the sound is compared to the Lenovo C940 whose sound bar always points toward you regardless of the position you have it in.

I knew it. Once Samsung decides on something....it's over. This laptop...got top notch display, 600 nits...a freaking stylus....and then all the smart user experience loaded. That is insane. Just wait until the next model and the next....it's going to be even more amazing!

I'll take Samsung seriously once they release a higher resolution on their laptops like Quad HD or something. I used to own a MacBook with a 2560 by 1600 and going back to FHD is just painful. TBh, i'm willing to pay extra for a better display. If QLED is so special and beautiful why not make the best resolution to go with it?

HP Firefly offers 20 hours battery with Intel but they're heavier than say the Samsung Galaxy Book S because to get 20 hours on Intel you need a big battery.

Early 2010, Samsung was the top dog in the laptop in terms of the premium market. Then they stopped making ATIV laptops... Not sure what happened.

    • Tab Home
      Tab Home 24 days ago

And then they were priced at par with macs and offered much less than the contemporary Win laptops. Now they offer at par or more than the most brands and are priced at the lower end of the spectrum. However, once they figure it out once again and get a grip on the market, Samsung would again be super expensive so this is the best time to go Samsung.

I will not be buying the galaxy book because they dropped support for Linux on DeX out of fear that it would hurt the sales for their galaxy book. That "fear" should have told them what the end users really want, a computer in their damn pocket and we had that for a little while. We got a taste for it and now we're pissed they took it away. I hope the galaxy book sales tank and aren't successful at all so Samsung can get back to innovating and bringing back a computer in our pocket.

600 nits, which is . . . a lot (?) 1000 nits for true HDR, 500 is a min spec for HDR, but this is meaningless when we don't have the contrast ratio beside it for comparison. If it's OLED or AMOLED then it should have near-infinite blacks
