Many call it the best X-Men movie, but Nostalgia Critic has some problems with it that a lot of people choose to ignore. Let's take a look at X2: X-Men United.

This has to be the most cynical Nostalgic Critic has ever been, this review is NITPICK OVERLOAD, the problem he have aren’t big problems and can be easily defensible or don’t matter, usually when he’s reviewing a good we all like he’s at least funny but I laughed very few times and the rest of the time he’s just being a asshole for no reason. So in my opinion this the worst Nostalgia Critic review ever

I still really think Xavier speaking for Jean to say goodbye was a reference to Stewart's part in Lifeforce. Not the first time he's been possessed by a hot chick. Granted, space vampire, but still.
Also, you should totally do Lifeforce. The X2 reference is a gimme.

When you mock the movie for not respecting the sourve material while you dont understand the source material yourself. NC has done some good and bad reviews. Its ironic that channel has the same problems he mocks the movie industry for having.
And the channel really needs to stop doing several reviews on same movie same with different format. Spend that extra time on quality control.

Dude, for such a big X-Men fan, you seem very ignorant to the fact that Rogue wasn’t super strong and couldn’t fly until she grabbed onto Ms. Marvel and held on so long that she stole those powers permanently. She wasn’t born with these abilities

Everybody says that in the scene where logan "learns about his past" we dont actually learn anything.
Listen to what brian cox says.
"All the things we did together"
    "All the work we did"
Everything stryker says hints to logan not being an involuntary experiment.
    Far from it.
What hes telling logan is they were partners. "But he calls him an animal!" Ever consider the falling out came later? After all the work they did?
Im pissed at how this played out in later movies protraying wolverine as just another lacky/being unwilling.
Imagine had it turned out that logan was helping experiment on people. Maybe even helped start the project.
That He was the bad guy. That sometime after the experiment on himself that he had his change of heart turning on stryker- brutally murdering people in the proccess (starting stryker down the dark road of genocide his son would later make worse) and making him view logan as a monster and an animal.
This was all before strykers son would have been born and his sons psychopathic torturing of stryker and his wife was what drove him into wanting to kill mutants, rather than the experiments to improve them theyd done for so long.
Instead? We got xmen origins wolverine.
    Le sigh

I think X-men 1-3 are all pretty lame, hardly any action and not many powers shown off. I wanted to see cool mutants do cool mutant things, I’m still waiting to see that! All the X-men movies have one cool scene, but it’s short and you get nothing else. Does cyclops shoot more then once in a movie? NO! You see a mutant use their powers once and that’s it, lame! I wanna see an X-men movie where they go on SEVERAL missions and work together using their powers together in an awesome way! 6 movies and I’m still waiting! Logan is the only really good movie!

It's also werid that nightcrawler and wolveriene are in the same movie but they do nothing with them. In the comicbooks they are best friends. What's also intresting is this is also a problem in the cartoons.

I feel like Doug was way too harsh in this review. The first and third movies had similar problems (too many characters, Cyclops being useless, Wolverine’s past getting brought up but no answers being found) yet it’s a bigger deal compared to the other reviews for X-Men (2000) and Last Stand. I also disagree with him about the film being too long at 134 mins. The 104 minute runtime absolutely hurt Last Stand as much as anything in that picture. At least he did imply in this review he thinks First Class, DOFP, and Logan were great movies.

I think Nightcrawler saying he needs to see is a crutch he's been leaning on since he first figured out his powers. thats the entire point of the plane scene, to show that when his friends are in danger he can subconsciously ignore that crutch.

It is about the phoenix forces.she broke the fucking dam by trying to stop cyclops, and it was the reason she stopped focusing on the rocket. She knew and she would leave anyway. It is clear what hides behind nostalgia critic's hasty annoying voice.Inability to understand what is going on in the film itself.
