I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.

    It's sufficient
    And most efficient
To click a like to salute you.
    But if I may
    I have to say
    That hairdo really suits you.
I'm trying to raise the bar for RU-clip commenting. How am I doing? ;)
p.s. I haven't actually watched the video. I like to get through this sort of thing in one sitting, and every time I click play, something interrupts me.

Singers today son'g sing live. They all lipsync. that's how they can leap around on stage "dancing" as they call it, while singing. AND they didn't write any of the music so they really can't capture the true feeling of the music.
Bands like Iron Maiden wrote their own music. They know it intimately. Getting the emotion right in music you didn't write is bloody hard.

The first long note was 15 beats (nearly 4 bars of common time) long. If we assume there to be 70 beats to the minute at that point that would be just over 12 seconds, off the top of my head. The long note at the end was more impressive at 6.5 bars, or 26 beats *and* it was going into a rallentando, or slowing down for the finish.

This vid is ancient...consider that Dickinson sounds just as good NOW. Also, he projects that same onstage energy NOW. Dickinson os one of the best frontmen to ever exist. He gives an amzing interview describing his role as a frontman and "shrinking the size of the venue". He defies age, along with the AWESOME Glenn Hughes.

Loved the reaction and the song. As a kid I listened to this album with my mom. She was always amazed at how long he held that note. By the way, at a metal concert (as weird as it sounds) the middle finger at 10:36 is a sign of respect. A lot of concerts I've been to, someone in the band screams, " I want to see those middle fingers in the air!"

On the topic of crazy vocalists in classic rock or metal bands; I haven't seen any vocal coaches reacting to AC/DC, yet. I find Brian Johnson pretty perplexing in how he has managed to stay so consistent after 35+ years (maybe almost 40 now) of the most demanding tour schedules, and one of the most painful sounding vocal styles. Anything from, "Live at Donington," would be interesting I think. Thunderstruck, Hell's Bells, Back in Black, Shoot to Thrill: all good ones.

Children of the Damned one of personal favs from Maiden, Bruce Dickinson has 4 lungs and 3 diaphragms - saw them last year and he’s just as good as ever (nevermind the fact he ran all over the stage with some kind of mad prop) for 90 minutes. The man’s a robot!

1st, I'd like u to do one on Dio & the song "Neon Knights". Dio is the KING of using 3 words to do an entire chorus. 2nd Go to 9: 53 where u start talking about singers. You literally blew my mind & question the whole "vocal coach" thing. I am not beating u up, I wouldnt ask u to do another review, but ANY singer that has to worry about breathing or forgetting lyrics - ISN'T A SINGER!! Now, let me fix this b4 u say all singers 4get lyrics, cause you're 100% right. My friend in Detroit is a goofball, silly make ya laugh...singer, that BTW sang and played drums to anything from Maiden. Rush, Priest (off unleashed in the east) < which is close to the only album I'd listen to. There's another one 4 ya to review - "Victim of change" but again ONLY off the album "UNLEASHED IN THE EAST" - For giggles listen to the song off any other album, have a barf bag handy. Anyways, this weird singer, made up words, sorry that they are kinda gross ( shit flop, crotch rot baboon snot, ittle and pelsh ) To make the bass player laugh, John would change the words to the non sense i just wrote and I'm TELLING U, that i can make those words work to ANY song, so when lyrics were forgotten, I used those, but a real singer / performer could make up words, hitting the right notes & nobody would probably even know!......ME? I'm an ex singer that has / had a 4 octave range. I have never personally heard anyone in Detroit sing Jeff Tate better than me & just like him, I was all power. I could sound just like him, now I could "sing" anything from rush, madien, dio, hell even Miss Houston as far as hitting notes & air, but I was all clean. Tate, Triumph, Kansas... so i couldnt do rasp, so i sang it like me, but a lot of things you said, just are not anything I've seen or experienced, so you're a coach, have u ever been a singer as in u sang live? I dont care if was even in bars, parties whatever? Again, not bashing, not my style, but this isnt the first time I've watched your reviews & IDK of course I'm not in any other singers body, but the things you've said and some it doesnt matter if I was in their body / mind, you say things like - "Thats the only way u can do it" and that is so not true, but it may be for you or the person next to u, but not as an "all" singing RULE. I jumped an octave all the time on originals and tate does it too and it's easy for me and those 2 aren't "fake singers" that sound great on an album & suck live, because they had to have 3000 edits and electronic magic. Might get hated on 4 this one, but have u ever heard anyone say Ozzy sang great at his concert tonight? I haven't. i always hear he was having an off night NO NO, it's not an off night. You dont see a drummer go outta time an entire night, a guitar player flat or sharp the whole night on leads or bass player throwing someone outta time on THIS NIGHT, but perfect every other night. Ya singers can have an off night, its your voice, but consistently = you suck!
