Thermaltake don't always make the best products, but they seem to consistently be the ones trying new things and I'm quickly becoming a fanboy of theirs. Give me a case like the 011 Dynamic with 200mm fans at the top and bottom please Thermaltake :)

ah this was back in the day when intel still put copper in their stock heatsinks. or even bundled stock heatsinks.

  • Nikolay Pelov
    Nikolay Pelov 6 days ago

This is stupid. If you have to change something to make it smaller why didn't they start with making the whole heat sink copper. The fins of Thermaltake Engine 27 are probably aluminium. They clearly state that the base is copper, but the fins are "metallic". If they were copper they wouldn't miss mentioning it.

    • Leo
      Leo 4 days ago +2

I believe copper is better for transferring heat while aluminum is better at dissipating the heat

well i am very surprised how wrong you are, i have an 8600k cpu at stock and i did have a new intel cpu cooler just the basic cooler my temps where 45.5c and very loud. so i purchased the engine 27 used of ebay and a tube of conductonaut thermal grizzly, the cooler set at basic cooling 42.0c and i can't hear it at all, so i was very annoyed at this review, because considering the cooler is so small, i think its amazing and yes you can't use conductonaut on a alloy cooler, the other plus is that engine 27 has a copper bottom and is nickle plated

Turn the light off and fixate the gradient the particle reached traveling. Given you need heat dependent grading I am sure ther is a chemical, not a photo chemical process.
    (No eddies)

  • Daniel Thyringer

Therefore it is. Same with non linear buffers in suspension and buffers.

  • Daniel Thyringer
    Daniel Thyringer 4 months ago

Makes sense, but the final dilution pattern should be center weighed. Add particles that turn dark on exposure to light and determine the flow length adding them to the basin you test the coolers in to speed up trial and endless error.

I actually have a few metal fans in my possession that could fit in a computer, but run on AC. They come from an old 1980s photocopier. This is definitely the first PC fan up ever heard of with metal blades. I'm surprised there is no protective grill on it. Super easy to get your fingers seriously hurt while running it while open.

Would probably work better if they redesigned that weird concentric circle fan base. Keep the rings on the heatsink, but remove the bottom of the fan itself, and have the blades attach at the center and pitched like a conventional fan, and it would probably cool better.

In my opinion the new cooler is the winner flatout
It managed to keep a 90 TDP cpu working and being half the size from all others ,now imagine that 1cm being bigger it could also outperform some of the other candidates
