A lot of good stuff on this one. There seems to be as much big band and swing stuff as anything. But that's cool just the same. But between the first installment and now this one, I still can't find a particular easy listening instrumental that I've known since I was a little kid. It must have been from at least the '60's. Or at least that's when I first heard it. Didn't sound like the '50's genre. It may have been in a movie, just like the "Theme from summer place. Romantic sounding. Had a sexy shimmery guitar rhythm on each whole note. If that makes any sense. Just a short stroke of the strings held by the fingers to catch the notes from sustaining too long. Real dreamy sounding. anyway. If you think you know what song this could be, please reply. In the meantime, I'll keep looking and listening for it.

@Mitt Bow That was a good try, Mitt. It is the same tempo and time signature. But at the beginning of each bar, the guitar is slightly struck, not strum. Because it's just that one quick puddley pluck on the guitar that makes the whole song stand give it it's mood. But like on many of the songs at the time, where a different instrument would play the main part in their perspective time in that song, that's another characteristic of it. Some of the songs on these two videos have that.

Back in the mid to late 60's. Our mom would make us sleep with the radio on a Los Angeles station called KJoi. "Music All The Time". And my older brother and I took up orchestra and band in junior and high school. Eventually I took up the piano and been playing the last 35 years! All because this kind of music was at the core of my soul. Very influential music that relaxes, unlike today's garbage!

      SO CALLED MUSIC THAT'S AT LEAST 20 YEARS OLD ARE CONSIDERED OLDIES. SO MUSIC OF THE 80 s & 90 s ARE CONSIDERED OLDIES. MUSIC OF THE 50 s & 60 s & 70 s ARE ANTIQUES . MUSIC OF THE 30 s & 40 s ARE ARTIFACTS. L.O.L..

I had a similar experience growing up whereby my 2 older sisters listened to Do Woop and R&B music constantly. And even though I eventually turned to rock & pop when the Beatles came out, I've reverted back to the 50's recently because now it's very relaxing, somewhat nostalgic and as you said..."was at the core of my soul" (great analogy!) I got a playlist of that music to put me asleep every night.
