  • MyEtherWallet - How to Send Out - In this video I will show you how to send out your ERC20 Tokens from your MyEtherWallet to wherever youre sending too. If you havnt added in your Custom Token to see your Token Balance then you wont have the option to send out that Token. So follow this video, and other videos I have on MyEtherWallet to learn how to use it correctly.

I've been learning more and more about Cryptocurrencies lately, mainly about the most popular and most used which is Bitcoin, but i'm also learning more about other ALT Coins since there's hundreds of them in the market! I'd consider myself a novice but I know enough right now to know that these are going to have a huge impact on societies worldwide, and can have a huge role in helping people come out of poverty, and out of the biggest scam on earth known as the Central Banking Institutions. For business owners it's going to have a huge impact in doing business, especially on a global scale because the technology behind them offers unlimited opportunities. I'm learning more each day and i'm really excited about everything that has to do with Cryptocurrency. So I decided to share my journey with everyone in hopes of helping others and encouraging others to get informed about Bitcoin and all Cryptocurrencies.

Do you need ethereum to show a deposit button feature for custom tokens via gas? Or all gets sorted for you through one single transaction via ethereum and your custom token address

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  2 месяца назад +1

No. You just send your tokens to the ETH address, the public address which it says ACCOUNT ADDRESS. then once the tokens are in there, youll see your token balances by clicking SHOW ALL TOKENS, the little orange button at the bottom right. again, if NCASH is not listed in the huge list of tokens, then you will have to add a custom token. once you do that, youll see your NCASH balance. Hope that helps! Along with the other comment I answered too.

I just added ncash to my metamask w my ether wallet.only shows a send feature not a deposit.yet ethereum has both.is it just ethereum you deposit and it changes it through one single address or to deposit I need eth for gas .my eth is 0. So will ncash show a deposit if I gas it w eth?

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  2 месяца назад +1

Hello Phillip, thanks for watching my video, im glad you reached out to me. When you want to deposit your NCASH in to MyEtherWallet you just deposit to the same ETH address. And no, to deposit you do not need any ETH in there for Gas. However you should send just like 0.01 in there, so when youre ready to move some tokens around out of MyEtherWallet, youll have the Gas ready. So, for all ERC20 tokens you deposit to the same ETH address that it shows you in your MyETherWallet, thats the public address. Then you go to SHOW ALL TOKENS and youll see the balances of whatever tokens you have in there. Also, if MyEtherWallet does not have NCASH listed in their Token List, you will have to add a custom token, so you can see that NCASH balance. I hope that answered your question. Also, I have a few more videos going over MyEtherWallet, so be sure to subscribe to my channel so you can check those out. Like how to add a custom token, I show you how. And feel free to email me anytime too, at Jddinvegas@gmail.com, best of luck!!!

You will have to go to an exchange that Chatabox Tokens are listed at, and you have to sell your Chatabox tokens for ethereum. Then you can sell your ethereum for Bitcoin. Then you can turn your Bitcoin in to USD. theres many many different methods on how to convert your Bitcoins in to USD. I hope this helps!!

I have an Adverx token in My Ether Wallet, will I be able to send adverx tokens to coinbase and cash out? or is that just a silly question?
Am I sending my token AVX or ETH to my coinbase account?

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  3 месяца назад +2

Not a silly question, if its something youre not sure about. You can not send your adverx token to coinbase no. They dont support any ERC20 tokens. The only thing you can do is find out what exchange theyre listed on, and then send your adverx tokens to that exchange, and then sell them for ethereum, or bitcoin if they have that trading pair. Then you can send your ethereum or bitcoin to coinbase.

Will 0.01 ETH be enough to send other tokens still today? I want to send 90ish CRC (crycash) to another wallet - and I want to send as little ETH as possible to the address, since any excess eth will be stuck in the wallet and lost - seeing as the cost to send eth is too high to be worth sending back and forth.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  4 месяца назад +1

Yes 0.01 ETH is enough gas to use to send out your CRC tokens. and any excess ETH will not be lost.....whatever ETH you dont use towards the token transfer you can just send back to your ETH wallet. ETH transfers are super cheap. If you wanted to send out 0.005 ETH, it only costs $0.03 cents to send that ETH. Thats super cheap.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  4 месяца назад +1

No. If you have a certain type of token inside of your MyEtherWallet, and youre trying to send your tokens out of MyEtherWallet to another wallet, you cant just send to any ethereum address. the wallet that youre sending your tokens too, has to support the token that youre sending. So what wallet are you trying to send your tokens too???

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  2 месяца назад +1

+Pare Koy i dont know what token hes even talking about. If its an ERC20 token then yes you send it to an ethereum address, but the token has to be supported by the wallet. So not all tokens can just be sent to any ethereum address. If hes sending to his MyEthereumWallet and the token is not supported then he can add a custom token. So he didnt really give me enough information for him to get an answer. Need more details. Its not that simple.

why is it that all these youtube vids can show how to do this (I already sent my OMG to my ETH address) step by step and when you load a token it works. When I type in the address of OMG the 2 boxes below say Loading..... and nothing ever happens. So, I type in the first one OMG, then in the decimal box 18 and then where you get a nice message in red, I get an error that it "cannot read property name" so I can't get my tokens out to sell. So frustrating. Any advice?

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  5 месяцев назад +1

yes OMG is already in their Token database, so you do NOT have to add a custom token. so at the bottom right, go to the orange button that says SHOW ALL TOKENS, then go down to OMG and click on CLICK TO LOAD. then your OMG balance will show up. only bran new tokens have to be entered in as custom tokens. you should always check their token list first before trying to add a custom token. The platform has changed a little bit, so I need to upload some new videos. But this is a highly ranked video so I leave this one up. The basics are the same.

    • Josh Domsky

im pretty sure that means you need to use more Gas for the transaction. so where it says GAS LIMIT under the amount youre sending, use a higher Gas Limit. let me know how that works.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  6 месяцев назад +1

Thanks! Im glad you understood what I was explaining in my last comment. I just did a little research, and I see that you just bought those MGT tokens in the ICO, and the ICO doesnt even end until the 31st. SO as of right now there arent any exchanges that have MGT listed as of right now. So you can not exchange your MGT tokens in to ethereum until it gets listed on an exchange. However, I dont see why you would want to do that, when you just bought them???

    • up2uahmed
      up2uahmed 6 месяцев назад +1

Very impressive response from you. How and where can i sell my MGT tokens for Ethereum ? All that i can say that i want Ethereum balance instead of MGT token.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  6 месяцев назад +1

Yes your Ethereum Balance is showing 0 because you do not have any Ethereum in your wallet. Thats the thing with MyEtherWallet, is that you can store both Ethereum, and all ERC20 Tokens in your wallet. And you use the same wallet address to send all of them in there. SO if you want to send Ethereum in to your wallet, you will use the same wallet address that you used to send in your MGT. thats your Public address. Now, when you want to send out any tokens, you must have a little Ethereum in your wallet to pay for the " gas fees ". Your MGT has its own value, and Ethereum has its own value. so theres no such thing as converting your MGT to ethereum value. The only thing you can do like that, is you can sell your MGT Tokens for Ethereum. Hope that helps, and hope that makes sense. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask. and be sure to subscribe to my channel, I have 3 more videos on MyEtherWallet!

You assumed we all have some knowledge of this transfer. When I click "send ether tokens" I do not seem to get to that page you enter at 0.39. Which button do you click to get that page? You hid it from us the newbies and I can understand the 41 dislikes. They felt frustrated like me though I won't add to the number! And this is my 4th time watching but I am yet to find my way forward so that I transfer from MEW to the exchange.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  7 месяцев назад +1

Samuel Mwesigwa hey Samuel, I have no idea what page you seem to get to but at 39 seconds that is the SEND ETHER & TOKENS page, which you can clearly see in blue that it's the chosen section of the wallet that I'm on, not to mention the big bold letters at the top that say SEND ETHER & TOKENS. Before I tell you how to do it, no I did not assume that everyone has knowledge of how to do this transfer. That's the whole reason why I made this video because I'm assuming that it's for the people who don't have knowledge of how to do the transfer. I understand new things can be frustrating to figure out, but don't take it out on me because you're having trouble. When you click on send ether & tokens at the top the page that comes up is just a bunch of options on what method you will use to login. The easiest way is to enter in your private key, so you choose private key, then enter your private key, then you'll get to the send page that you see me on at 39 seconds. You can also access your wallet by using your keystore/JSON file that should be in your download file on your computer. If you still need help after this comment, email me at Jddinvegas@gmail.com and I will do more to help you. Good luck.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  7 месяцев назад +2

Thanks for your comment! you should send around 0.003 - 0.005! When you fillout the amount that you want to send out, the 50 tokens, it will autofill your Gas Limit for you, so you can leave the Gas Limit at whatever they set it at for you. Then up at the top right hand side is your GWEI - you should set it at atleast 40 GWEI, use the little slider and you can slide it back and forth, then click on the number to set it. Thats should be good there, but if for some reason it tells you that you dont have enough Gas to cover the transaction, you can just lower the GWEI. Hope that helps. I personally like to keep around 0.01 ETH in there at all times, and I like to keep my GWEI at like 75. But the higher your GWEI means itll cost more Gas.

and since youre trying to send your tokens OUT of your MEW in to Binance, you have to hit the CLICK TO LOAD button to get your balance up, so when you choose how much EOS you want to send out, you are able to choose EOS as the sending token on the little drop down menu next to how many EOS youre sending. I would recommend setting your GAS LIMIT to no lower then 75,000 and at the very top right hand of the page you can set your GWEI amount, you should set it more then halfway, which will be above 50. thats so you set it as a faster transaction. as long as you have 0.01 to 0.005 ETH in your wallet, youll have enough for the GAS FEE.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  7 месяцев назад +1

yes, you do not have to add a custom token, because the EOS token is already listed in MEW. however, regardless if its listed or not, and regardless if you have a save button or not, thats irrelevant. If you send your EOS tokens to your wallet address, your tokens will be in your wallet regardless of any of that other stuff. Thats the great things about the blockchain and having control of your private key! so dont worry about a save button, if you send your tokens to your wallet address they will be in there. and with your private key, you can access your tokens in any wallet you choose to use. DO THIS - when you send your tokens to your MEW, once the tokens are sent, then go to the orange button at the bottom right that says SHOW ALL TOKENS. then go to EOS, and hit CLICK TO LOAD. then you will see your balance. Thats just to see your balance, but regardless of that button being there or not, your tokens are in your wallet!!!! and dont forget that you need a little bit of Ethereum in your wallet too, so when you go to send your tokens OUT of your wallet to somewhere else, you have that Ethereum in there to pay for the GAS FEE. you need a little Ethereum to pay for the transaction fee, which is called the GAS FEE.

    • Steve Sheldon
Steve Sheldon 7 месяцев назад +1

Ah, thanks for answering, but it's still daunting. I'm trying to send EOS tokens to Binance and can't afford to get it wrong. There is no more "save" button. And I get an error message about the tokens, but googled it and found it's because the EOS tokens are already in MEW? So I stopped because I'm a technical dummy. I appreciate your vid though.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  7 месяцев назад +1

Im not really sure what happened to you in your situation, but the Gas Limit should never be as low as 2100?? I recommend that everyone should use a minimum of 75,000 Gas Limit, and a minimum of 75 GWEI. Unless you dont need the tokens right away, you can use less than that, but around those numbers that I just gave you is what should be used to get your tokens in a timely manner.

I have a big problem with a token, I bought Novalend tokens, and I used my Exodus wallet as the address, but I want those tokens in my ETW, but I do not know how to do that since Exodus DOES NOT support that token. But I can see the contract at Ethplorer, CAN YOU please help me?

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  8 месяцев назад +1

Hello Basillisk11, I went ahead and chatted with the Exodus Support, and you can save your tokens. you just have to export your ETH Private Key from exodus, and import it in to MyEtherWallet. Here is the information you need!!! If you send an unsupported ERC20 token to your Exodus wallet, it will be stored at your wallet address, however, Exodus will not display it. To manage your tokens, you'll have to export your private key to MyEtherWallet. Please be careful with your private key. It controls your ETH and all your ERC20 tokens. Here's a detailed guide: support.exodus.io/article/128-how-do-i-receive-unsupported-erc20-tokens

Josh, Count me as one of those confused souls who sent my erc20 tokens to a different address seperate from my ETH address in MEW. So now I have two seperate address locations, one for my ETH and another for my ERC20 tokens. Can you please give me a heads up on how to transfer my ERc20 tokens to my ETH address within MEW? Any help would be appreciated.
    James

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  8 месяцев назад +1

James, when you create a new wallet in MEW you only have one wallet address. You send both your ETHEREUM and your ERC20 Tokens to the exact same address. So im not sure where you sent your tokens too??? So wherever your ERC20 Tokens are located at, just send them to your MEW Public address, which is the same wallet address as where your ETHEREUM is. Your MEW public address is where you send both ETHEREUM and ERC20 Tokens too. Hope that helps......please let me know if you need anymore help!!

How to send STQ to another wallet or exchange?

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  8 месяцев назад +1

just like I showed in the video. If you have your STQ in your MyEtherWallet already, you have to add a custom token so the balance will show, and so you can choose STQ in the send drop down, when youre choosing which token you want to send out. So first thing, Add Custom Token. Once thats done, make sure you have a little ETHEREUM in your wallet too, because you must have a little ETHEREUM in your MyEtherWallet to pay for the "Gas Fee". thats your transaction fee. Then you can go to send. Hope this helps, anymore questions let me know.

  • Syndicator
    Syndicator 8 месяцев назад +1

Why doesn’t it just take a small fraction of whatever token you’re trying to send as gas? Super dumb.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  8 месяцев назад +1

8 1 yeah that would be easier. But it's because the token is built off of the ethereum network. So it's the ethereum that is needed to fuel the transaction because that token is being sent on the ethereum network.

Hi, how do you get the "Network: ETH (MyEtherWallet)" network to display in the upper right drop down box? I just don't have that option listed. All I have is:
    ETH (myetherapi.com)
    ETH (mycryptoapi.com)
    ETH (etherscan.io)
    ETH (infura.io)
    ETH (giveth.io)
I'm using FireFox. I have FUN tokens stored (on a Trezor) that I can't send out. The "etherscan.io" Network keeps throwing errors when I try to return the FUN tokens from the Trezor to my desktop wallet (Exodus). A search showed that some have overcome this problem by selecting "Network: ETH (MyEtherWallet)". Any idea?

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  10 месяцев назад +1

Yeah you hsould always keep at least .005 ETH in your wallet, so youre ready to transfer. I actually like to keep .1 in at all times. Im happy to hear you finally got it to work, great!!! • coldenbc
      coldenbc 10 месяцев назад +1

OK, yeah, I just don't get the "Network: ETH (MyEtherWallet)" in the drop down box. So, I tried "ETH (myetherapi.com)" and it worked. No errors and after entering the receiving address and the amount of FUN to send (which typically started the errors), the gas shot up from 21000 to 43999 (or about $1.77). Sent out the FUN and received just fine on my desktop wallet. Been on this for a couple of days and finally got a solution... Need to make sure there is a little ETH around to cover the cost of the gas. You will get the full amount of the token sent, paid for with ETH.

Thats the standard default setting when you first create your new wallet. It should be already set on that option when you create your wallet, or when you sign in to a wallet you already have on MEW. Click on the HELP tab on the right side of the wallet options. You might be able to find something in there to help you with sending from your Trezor to your Exodus. I personally have not used the Trezor with MEW so I cant give much information on that.

YEah, EtherDelta is a terrible exchange. I would highly recommend not using EtherDelta, unless the token youre trying to buy/sell is only on EtherDelta at this time and not on any other exchanges. However, EtherDelta and MyEtherWallet work together, so instead of sending tokens to there, you can just take your private key from MyEtherWallet and load your private key in to EtherDelta to get access to your tokens there. I recommend you go watch a bunch of youtube videos about EtherDelta and learn all about it, before you start using it. hope that helps.

Hi Josh, thanks for your informative videos! I was hoping to find the answer to a question unfortunately you didn't mention the answer in the video (likely because the question makes no sense - I'm new to crypto). Here is the question:
I was told that Myetherwallet is the ETH equivalent of what Bitaddress is to BTC, meaning a form of paper wallet. I know that with Bitaddress, once your private key was used in connection with the internet, it is so longer safe and you are better off creating a new paper wallet with Bitaddress. Does this principle also apply to Myetherwallet? Meaning would my account safety also be sacrificed one I send coins or tokens to another address (as it is the case with paper wallts from Bitaddress)?
Thanks already for all your input and keep up the good work. Helps guys like my understand this new universe !

thanks for watching and thanks for your comment. i appreciate the support. as far as your safety goes, if you want to go to the extreme, you could say that paperwallets are safest to use yes. but, MyEtherWallet is safe to use over and over again. When you first create your new MyEtherWallet, it is safest for you to actually write down your private key on a piece of paper, then when you go to use your MyEtherWallet and you need to enter in your private key to access your wallet, you can just enter it in by typing it in. just make sure that each time you get on to the site, that youre on the real MyEtherWallet site and that you have the green HTTPS:// so you know youre logging in to the real secured site. hope that helps!!

I just heard from another commenter that you can not send tokens from metamask, you must use MyEtherWallet to send out tokens!! so make sure you have a little ethereum inside of your myetherwallet, to pay for the GAS FEE. believe you first go to MyEtherWallet, then at the top left you go to the tab button SEND ETHER & TOKENS. then it asks you....How would you like to access your wallet? choose the 2nd option, META MASK/MIST. then you should be able to send your tokens that way. Ive personally not used this method before, but I think thats how. Heres a link to check out.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  10 месяцев назад +2

NO, you can not just send to any ethereum address, and especially not coinbase!!! if you have erc20 tokens, you can only send to that specific token, or to any wallet that is erc20 token compatible. Like say you have GRX tokens, thats an erc20 token, you can ONLY send those to a GRX wallet or another wallet that is erc20 token compatible. If you are trying to get ethereum, you can send your token to an exchange that has your token on it, and then you can sell your token for ethereum on the exchange. then you can send your ethereum to coinbases ethereum wallet. hope that helps.

    • Josh Domsky
Josh Domsky  11 месяцев назад +2

Yes, with ERC20 tokens, there is a "gas fee" which is basically your transaction fee. Just like Bitcoin has a network fee. So you must send a little ethereum in to your MyEtherWallet to pay for the gas fee when you go to send out any of your tokens. The same public address that you sent your tokens too, is the same address youll send your ethereum too. you can just send like .005 or even .01 ethereum in to your wallet. I always try to keep at least .01, so Ill have enough to pay for a couple transactions. Watch this video, and itll help you with every step. make sure set your gas limit to 200,000 always, and your GWEI to 60 always. watch this video, i show you how to do that. best of luck, hope that helps. When you send those tokens from the exchange to your MyEtherWallet, the exchange pays for the gas fees.

    Hi Josh ...
Your video is incredibly helpful but my experience of the process didn’t match yours. I’m trying to send ETHOS (BQX) to my Nano S for the first time. I put 0.01 ETH in MEW but though both appear in my MEW balance when I put my address in Etherscan, neither the token nor my ETH shows up when I try to send to the Ledger. I think I’ve successfully managed to add the token manually. At least, it shows up under 'Token balances' as '0 BQX' rather than 'Click to load'. But of course this isn’t much help, especially since the ETH doesn't show up at all as yours did from the start of the video. Are you able to put me on the right track?

All good. I actually think this is a MEW not ledger thing, though, and as many vids as there are none I've seen relate to this particular problem. Hoping MEW support will be able to deal - otherwise my first million is on hold.

      Hi Josh
Thanks for responding so quickly. Yep, I'd read that but it doesn't solve my niche-y little problem. Guess I'll just have to keep digging. It's just yours is the most detailed video I've seen about the process so I thought you were worth a call. Frustrating: it's all there on one MEW tab but not the one I need for sending. Power to you.

Help!!.... iv been trying to move my 335 GVT tokens off of myetherwallet and into binance exchange to trade and there not going through for some reason. Iv purchased these off binanace but took them off to keep them off the exchange but i want them back on to trade. The address is correct I have about $30 worth of ether in my wallet so there should be more than enough to cover fees. Its been 3hrs now and still nothing. Verify transaction says its unable to locate hash and check TX status and says transaction not found. My tokens are still showing in my wallet...Any idea of what might be the problem??

Hey thanks that it worked! I only moved tokens a couple times before without issue and never had to adjust it til now but can you explain how to figure out what to set your gas and GWEI at when sending tokens from the MEW? thanks

I had setup an etherwallet to buy loopx tokens with ethereum but when i went in and bought the tokens i mistakenly bought them with bitcoin and the tokens were sent to my etherwallet. what should i do i am afraid that loopx will pay me in bitcoins and my etherwallet will not except them and i will lose them from what i have read. I have a exodus wallet do i need to move my tokens to it or change my erc20 wallet address with loopx to exodus.

uhmmmmm. sounds like youre really confused with the way things work. and thats ok, we all have to start somewhere, and learn as we go. first off, an ICO is an Initial Coin Offering. Thats what ICO stands for. so an ICO can not go on an exchange. The Loopx token will go on the exchange! So, once the ICO is over and the Lending and Exchange are launched, you can send your Loopx tokens on to the platform to either Loan or Sell on their internal exchange. You can sell your Loopx tokens for Ethereum or Bitcoin. If you sell your Loopx tokens for ethereum, that ethereum will go in to your ethereum wallet on the platform, not your myetherwallet. And if you sell your Loopx tokens for Bitcoin, that Bitcoin will go in to your Bitcoin wallet on the platform. Also, when you do lending, and you make a loan, your weekly earnings are paid in USD to your USD wallet on the platform. From there you will convert your USD in to Loopx tokens which you can sell for Bitcoin or ethereum, or you can reinvest them. Hope that makes sense to you!!! any questions feel free to ask!! Im here to help!!! and yes, NEVER send bitcoin to an ethereum wallet....lol...yes they will be lost forever!!!

Yes they were put in my etherwallet. So when the ICO goes on the exchange and I want to loan or cashin the tokens in I will at that time have the option to receive ethereum in my wallet from loopx I was worried that they would only pay me in bitcoin since i had purchased it in bitcoin and from what i read if you receive bitcoin in an etherwallet they would be lost forever.

im not sure what youre really asking? if you purchased the Loopx tokens and they were sent to your myetherwallet, then everything is fine. It doesnt matter if you paid for those tokens in bitcoin or ethereum. you can pay for tokens in any way that they offer, as long as you had them sent to your myetherwallet. usually in an ICO, when you go to purchase tokens you give them your wallet address, and then they give you an option to pay in bitcoin or ethereum, then they give you a payment address to pay in that method. as long as you have entered in your myetherwallet address as the wallet you want your tokens to be sent to, it doesnt matter how you paid. have yout Loopx tokens been sent to your myetherwallet already??

I am trying to send WAX and PRIX to another MEW and it fails every time. Says has not enough. When i up the gas it says there is another transaction with that gas. I have $10 worth of ETH for gas. That should be plenty.
