I noticed I said it incorrectly when I was editing the video but I did manage to type the title of the ride correctly in the title of the video and the thumbnail. I am happy most people did not notice the error or did not seem bothered by the error. I try really hard not to make any mistakes, but they do happen and it's nice when people are understanding. I appreciate kindness.

Universal needs to start allowing vloggers to film the rides...there is no line because this ride is not very good :/
But glad you did vlog about it :)

I've noticed that Universal rides rarely ever shut down and I think it is because they don't allow people to have their phones and cameras out on rides. Disney allows it and people seem to be constantly dropping their phones and cameras on rides. Every time someone drops something, the whole ride needs to shut down so they can go retrieve it for the safety of the ride. I do wish I could film seats and the boarding and exit process for the Universal rides -- maybe someday that will happen. I keep writing to them and asking to be allowed to do it. You never know, if you keep asking -- they may let you. I just have to keep politely asking and letting them know how much it would help others -- and maybe someday they will let me.

Thank you for all the super detailed info, as always. The more detail I know about something the more I can control my (constant) anxiety so your videos are truly invaluable.

Since I know the vast majority of Disney rides are plus size friendly I’m beyond excited to see these Universal videos!!! You’re helping me plan my trip for sure!

I’m so glad you felt up to editing this video, I hope you’re still getting lots of rest though!!! 💛

Hi there! You mentioned there was a sign warning of "mature themes". Would you mind commenting on those? Not whether or not you think it's appropriate for younger riders (that's a parent's decision) but just what it entailed, if you feel comfortable about that. Thanks so much for your videos!!

I think you can add to that -- the theme of the films involved illegal street racing, there is party scene with scantily clad women, guns, explosions, discussion of criminal activity. It's nothing you can't see on TV every night of the week but it's not for little kids.

The "mature theme" is the scantly clad / half-naked young women dancing at the VIP party scene at the beginning of the attraction. It also has gun violence too, but so do other Universal rides that don't post "mature theme" signs.

I will say I’ve been to Disneyland and Universal and Universal was definitely not very good for plus size friendly. I remember not being able to go on Harry Potter Ride due to my size. I hated it. But I ended up losing over 110lbs and was able to get on. Feel better but hated that they didn’t allow for some sort of large person friendly access to the ride. Thanks for being attention to this. It was something that upset me at the time.

There are still several rides I have yet to try at Universal and Islands of Adventure so I will keep an eye open for this going forward.

@Pammie Plus Parks yea they do. its pretty interesting. Thats cool that you check in with folks. yea they are kind about it just that they have the stations and check. They will remove folks that do not fit or have them test it out. There are two rides that have it here in cali. Would love to go to Orlando sometime though. See all that Florida has to over for Universal.

Wow, I had no idea they had that. I haven't seen that so far for the rides I have tried. Before I even get in line, I check in with a Team Member to find out if there is any special seating for people of size. That might be why I have bypassed anything like that. The Team Members at Universal have been super friendly, kind and helpful. No one has ever made me feel like a lesser person.

@Pammie Plus Parks Thats awesome! I havent been to Orlando. I have been out to the one here in Hollywood and there are some what I call fat check stations at a couple of the rides. Got me really upset.

Pammie Plus Parks  5 months ago +1

So far I have found only a handful of the nearly 50 rides, shows and attractions at Universal Orlando have not worked for me. There had been tons of things that do work and are fun. I wish everything worked for everyone, but all things considered, there are lots of great things to do.

Luckily I have a few things filmed that I can edit and post as I continue to recover. It might be a couple of weeks before I get back into the parks. Even though I am feeling really strong -- I am easing back into things. I'm also working on a plan to more firmly secure my health. I had a big scare but in the end I've learned that I am actually really healthy - just had a perfect storm of illnesses hit me all at once.

Pammie, you are a delight! I came across your videos by chance a few months ago and basically binged watched your entire channel. Thanks for giving me the confidence to enjoy theme parks again. I feel like as a plus sized person I rationalized for so long that some things just aren’t for me due to my size. I’m so glad to say that my husband and myself are now in the process of planning a trip to Disney and I couldn’t be more excited. ❤️
