Trump has defined the Republican party
1 To hell with deficit worries cut taxes for those that really don't need it
2 Slam and name drop opponents- it makes me sound like I know what I am doing
3 Make racial statements Republicans are obsessed with
4 "America is Great" say that at every oppotunity
5 Climate change is a plot

The truth is no one can accurately forecast the timing of the next recession, but a downturn is part of a normal economic cycle. It is important that we are doing all we can to withstand the fallout from a crashing economy. Whether the storm is on the horizon or not, it’s always a good time to make sure you’re financially secure.

🤓🤓🤓🤓Donald Trump, his wealthy corporate cronies and racist wealthy white nationalist are making out like bandits, while destroying the nation's democracy and resources for its citizens. When you don't learn from history it repeats itself. Just like the great Indian nations that were removed and destroyed through betrayal, murder, deceit and legislative white racist nationalism and the use of slavery and racism toward Black Americans, the United States was righting its wrongs, until Trump and Moscow Mitch McConnell got together and made a deal with the devil. 😞😞😞😞😞 The "Devil" is disguise as a "white man" every where he goes death and destruction follows history proves that😳😳😳😳😳

The saddest part of it all is that Trump still thinks that China is paying for the tariffs collected from Chinese goods coming into the US.
He swears that a trade deficit is what China steals from the US each year.

Leave it to CNN dumbasses to get it wrong.
Trade wars might hurt everybody, but they will hurt some much more than others.
For the Chinese communists, they might mean the end of their regime.
The adverse effects of trade wars on the US will be ameliorated and perhaps eliminated by
the GREATEST OIL STRIKE IN HISTORY, in the Permian Basin of Texas, the benefits
of which can be compounded many times over by an American Canal more than twice
the size of Panama's between Brownsville and San Diego. America will be more
the "Middle Kingdom" than China ever was. That's if it's not annihilated by a preemptive
neutron bomb attack arranged by the homicidal genocidal megalomaniac
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin d.o.b. 7 October 1952 with the assistance of seditious
fools who supinely gave his American agent Obama the Oval Office, not just once but twice.
Upon Trump's election, federal lands were opened to oil exploration that had been
blocked by the queer bastard communist Quisling pretender Barack Hussein Obama
    II d.o.b. 4 August 1961.
Quickly thereafter came the GREATEST OIL STRIKE IN HISTORY, no, not just the greatest
in American history, the GREATEST OIL STRIKE IN HISTORY, on federal lands in
    the Permian Basin of Texas.
And soon after that, within a year or so, the United States became a net oil
exporter for the first time in many years. Return of the petrodollar, this time
on the basis of American oil, not Saudi Arabian. This doesn't portend recession.
Hardly anybody noticed these events or their implications, certainly not
the dumbasses in the mass media. Oh, some passing puzzled references to
"increased American oil production", but never the slightest suggestion
that this just might be the result of the GREATEST OIL STRIKE IN HISTORY,
in the Permian Basin of Texas, a hoot and a holler from Brownsville and its
harbor and huge refineries, and the American Canal connecting the world's
    major oceans.
The American Canal will pay for itself in short order while blocking mass migration
from south of the border, vastly improving trade routes between Asia and Oceania
on the one hand and Europe and Africa on the other, and providing enormous
strategic advantage by facilitating the deployment and redeployment of
American and allied military assets world-wide. The profit can be used to buy
European and other ports out of foreclosure by China, and other useful chores.
Moreover, many other countries might be encouraged by America's example to stand up to China's
unfair predatory and criminal commercial practices. The "trade war"
has never been strictly between China and the US, but rather between China and
the rest of the world. The same is true of freedom of navigation on the high seas.
China is making itself a pariah.
The Chinese people might conclude their rulers have lost the "Mandate of Heaven”.
Not that this will happen overnight. Though the neutron bomb annihilation of America might.

The world and US economies are already in recession since 2008. The excessive borrowing by companies, consumption fueled by debt and uncontrolled QE by central banks worldwide prevent the business cycle to oscillate properly. Business down-cycle clear up the excess and the inefficient economic units so that new units can emerge in the up-cycle. With digital technology, debt will grown even bigger. Words like trillion and quadrillion used to describe stars and galaxy in astronomy. Now they are common in finance and banking. So global recession may not be a bad thing after all... compare to military war.

CNN where did you get these "experts"??? From the "fit my opinion" University? If tomorrow I walk into a store and I can't get the made in China shirt for $10 I will by the $12 one that's made in the US, but aren't talking shirts here right CNN? China's biggest exports to the US are mechanical and technological. So the manufacturing industries will now have to go back to the US soil. AND that is the trickle down to the average citizen. Better job opportunities. So you don't need to go get a college degree to get a poorly paid entry level position. I live in a big city that has one factory. They make railroad parts there and employ 108 people. The only time there is a job opening is when someone dies. My husband works the and makes almost twice what I make. No education, not even a GED and started with great pay and awesome benefits. Sits all day next to a machine and makes sure nothing goes offline aka trolls the internet and watches Netflix for 8 hours a day. I have a BBA a management position that I had to work up to and will hopefully make as much as he does one day. I also have 14 more years of paying $308/month for my college loans and my job is super stressful.

The NAFTA deal eliminated tariffs and that's when we started to head into the recession. Historically tariffs have been imposed to bolster domestic economy, by forcing production of local goods, consumption of local services and utilization of domestic resources. High tariffs only hurt countries with limited resources (small countries). And I agree with him, the trade war is a disaster for world economy, but not the U.S . We'll be just fine. Also, we literally have a money tree. That's why we're always in the middle East fighting for it and protecting it. Or did you really think that we were there to protect the local's human rights lol?!?! We didn't have a problem with them beheading their gays, oppressing their women or abusing their children until they started to interfere with our exploitation of their domestic resources.
And why is he referring to the continent of Africa like it's one country and using it as an example of failure? Rhetoric like that is what makes people think it's a super poor archaic place. There are very prosperous and technically advanced countries there. Their economic practices and strategies differ from the unsuccessful countries there. They just can't pull up the continental average because there aren't many of them.

    • Andrew Gisler

Tariffs hurt countries of any size. The US will lose out on cheaper goods and services. Plus all the skills and knowledge that people from other countries have.
Most economists agree free trade is a win-win for everyone. I don't know how anybody who supports capitalism or free markets support the trade war.

@great sky The Chinese J-31 is the most high profile case. Plans stolen through espionage. There are countless clones of microchips and various electronics components that they manufacture without paying royalties to the companies that developed them. This us a well-known fact and it's where the money to invent new things comes from. Its one of the reasons that they can make things so cheaply. No R&D costs or royalties to worry about. Then there's their policy of devaluing their currency and government sponsorship of certain businesses. Steel and tires come to mind. Then flood another country with goods produced below cost to destroy their competing domestic industry. Remember those Chinese tires for $35 a pop? I do. Then you have to consider that they already have tariffs on American goods and tight import restrictions and limits. Nobody is bothered by that though. So long as the United States doesn't respond then it's all good. and just because somebody falls for a scam doesn't alleviate responsibility from the scammer. I have equal disdain for paypay loan and title pawn companies. Either way, China has been engaging in very shady practices for decades, and it's high time someone called them on it. It's time that the United States stop being so stupid that it allows itself to be abused and taken advantage of. By your own assessment, that is the correct action. China alone is responsible for the situation now, and it (you?) must play by the rules if it (you?) wants to stay in the game.

@Jason Watkins While USA is also a dictatorship, just like most rulers in the world, at least thats what they really want to be, to stay in power, but their citizenry wont allow, the USA dictatorship has given the world Peace at the expense of destroying some rogue nations. To have peace, one or two countries need to be bombed. It's not perfect solution but that's life.
China dictatorship is inheriting from its emperor system and communist system.
There are many types of democracy and many types of dictatorship. When you have power, you DICTATE . So dictatorship is related to power. A name is just a name. Political systems have commonalities regardless if communism, socialism, democracy , totalitarianism, authoritarianism. They are all fundamentally the same. One man rule. This means dictatorship.
There is a country in South East Asia that calls itself a democracy but it threatens it's people to prevent them from speaking against the govt. It Rules By Law but says it base on Rule OF law.
A country is a democracy only if it's citizens and the world feels that it is. It's not determined by the name of the political system eg. The Democratic republic of North Korea. A country can call myself a democracy, have a Constitution that states it is a democracy but in practice is effectively a dictatorship . One party rule.
So, i am not siding america . I am speaking up against china ambition to rule the world under its Dictatorship. China is a thief. It cannot be trusted. I am backed by evidence : Tian An Men murders of own citizens. One country One system but it claims to Offer HK one country two systems. The broken promise on HK proves the dishonesty of the thief. I know what is a chinese because i am Chinese. Don't forget how it treat Tibet.
Between USA and China, USA is the better of the two rotten apples. China must be destroyed

I hv admired USA for so long @ 60 yrs until recently tis egoist, proud, bullying, hypocritical, ... President came. All respects r gone not for only Trump but those so called America white supremacist. Even abhorrence for USA. In past I preferred to buy US products. yea jeff what's your problem, just spend all your savings so you can visit a communist dictatorship, maybe if youre lucky you'll get swept away in the night by the secret police.... but hey at least you'll have opened yourself up to new experiences
