Gale Sayers scoring 6 TDs in a game is pretty damn awesome. And did it in four different ways. Rushing, Receiving, Kickoff and Punt return.

  • brendan maclellan

Oh yeah scoring a hat trick is so easy in hockey especially when you are not on the ice for a majority of the game. This list is bullshit.
And let’s hype up a murderer in the list as well.

  • Beardio
    Beardio 11 days ago

Dude all these soccer players or footballers need to do every game is kick long ass kicks over and over and it seems like if it bounces higher than ten feet the goalie loses it and can’t block the shit so that’s what soccer players should do over and over just long ass kicks high as hell they’ll score every game like twice or so win the game start a new era it’ll all be more fun that way as well

Don't let this distract you from the the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.

Rod Brind’amour scored 2 shorthanded goals in the SAMMEEE penalty kill vs The Penguins in 1997. Mike Richards scored 3 shorthanded goals in a season whilst down 5 on 3. & the 60+ yard field goals is quite a feat as well. I believe Eagles Elliot, Raiders Janikowski & i believe the Broncos kicker or another team has done the feat. Pretty amazing feats in sports.

Just my 2 cents, just because someone has been done less often doesn't make it better. Take whichever single game record you'd like, it's not what the video is intending.

For example Shawn Green's 19 total bases in a game would be on this list. Is it more rare than a perfect game? Yes. Is it better than a perfect game? Hell no.

This whole list is moot because Mario Lemieux’s 5 goals scored 5 different ways isn’t number 1. On December 31, 1988 against the New Jersey Devils he scored an even strength goal, a PP goal, a SH goal, a penalty shot goal and finally, as the buzzer sounded, an empty net goal. It’s happened exactly once in NHL history and likely won’t ever happen again. The only other feat on this list that even comes close is Wilt’s 100-point game. The perfect game should be at least number 3 on this list.

Best team in the world. We were missing two of our three main attackers and had Shaqiri who got relegated last season with Stoke and Origi who completely flopped while out on loan last season at Wolfsburg as replacements for them. Our captain took a massive whack on the knee and was on painkilling injections at half time and we lost our LB at half time and had to play a 32 year old, right footed midfielder there.

I know it is more common that most on the list and the stuff mentioned in the comments, but a favorite of mine in hockey is a goal scored while defending a 5-on-3 power play. It only happens once or twice a season in the NHL, and the career high for a single players is 3 of them, held by a single player.

Half of these are basically entirely luck/situational and should not be held on the other levels as other accomplishments. It's hard to think what's the most impressive of any of this. Heck, not just some but ALL of these are INCREDIBLY luck dependent and dependend on how SHITTY your opponent(s) happened to be playing that 1 particular game. Well, all of these of games that actually have physical confrontation anyway(IE not bowling and pool or whatever)
