  • Ten years in the making, Fabricated is a stop-motion journey through an alien world which was once our own. "Fabricated" by Brett Foxwell // Subscribe and watch more sci-fi shorts on DUST: bit.ly/2aqc5vh
After biological life has passed from existence, our machines try to restart it with the pieces we have left behind. On an anonymous assembly line, a creature is built from steel and bone and sent off. Making his way through an old world that is dying and a new world struggling to be born, he begins to sense that he may have a part to play in the evolution of his imperfect kind. This film was animated by one person over ten years in four different cities.

One thing is for sure, there is a lot of work put into this special movie. All the mechanical is fantastic and if you see it five times you will see something new every time. Good luck further boys, this was good work . The film is without a doubt a work of art.

I felt kind of bad for the little guy, he went through so much and it seemed as if his sacrifice and pain in the end, was the thing that helped them evolve. That seems like a never ending theme for life in general. RIP Cute little bone dinosaur cat lizard robot thing.

I've watched this something like 5 times since earlier this evening. There's just something about it I find captivating, and for those who wonder what the plot is; the plot is evolution. Or at least that is what I got from it. I'm sure it is one of those works where multiple meanings are possible.
