Most girls don’t ever have a flat stomach because the uterus naturally sits and bulges there. It’s totally normal! We’ve only been conditioned to expect a flat stomach is “healthy” for all bodies...

Oh thank you so much 🤗 Bit hard to explane it in english but in French " ï " is called "i tréma" so diaeresis to indicate that the preceding vowel must be pronounced separately so for an english spoken phonetic it's "AH ee S AH"

Have been following Dina since her Early days. Always loved how genuine and relatable she is. This q and a makes me love her even more. I really hope that Imam who made that video really apologizes to Dina and Sid. I remember how uncomfortable and angry his video made me. I don't think he realizes how much damage his video caused. And he monetized the videos which was even more insulting. God protect us from such toxic people

Me too, I followed her like 10 years ago when I was a teen and her genuine personality is a big part of what inspired me to wear the hijab myself. I'm still very thankful for that to this day.
I stay far away from most online preachers though (minus a few), because ironically they always demotivate me.

I don't binge eat but I feel like I consistently over eat and disappoint myself on a daily basis . Today I just decided to talk to myself different about food . I constantly talk myself into eating a little bit of this or that , when I could talk myself into not eating it and just eating normal meals instead of grazing all day. Basically If I can talk myself into going against my true wishes for myself all the time, I should be able to talk myself into doing what I truly wish to do. Thank you for your honesty Dina , I wish the best for you

As well as Adam Saleh. He is the biggest hypocrite. He has made music videos, slept with women, let's his female fans kiss him, encouraged Slims (his friend) haraam relationship and so much more. Yet he had a lot of shit to say about Dinas hijab, he should focus on his own hijab first and foremost.

I really appreciate you talking about your binge eating. This really helps me. I also have a permanent belly, I think because of my yo-yo dieting.
I have continued to watch your channel even with all the drama that happened. I firmly believe we should cover our head and drape over the chest and neck, but the fact is that (just as you said) we don't know anyones niya and may find ourselves taking it off in the future. I still dont understand your reasons, but it's between you and Allah. Better to do ibbadah with authenticity. This was never a religious teaching channel, and people shouldn't get their shorts in bundle over what you're doing.
May Allah help us all on our journey. This life is a marathon, sister, and we just hope to finish strong, en sha Allah.

Hi Dina, I know you said you don’t want to make the majority of your content about your BED, but I would love for you to do more content on your journey to fixing your disordered eating! I also struggle with BED and it’s comforting to hear that others also go through the same cycle.

    • Miriam Sulehman
      Miriam Sulehman 9 months ago

@Monica I’ve been attending therapy but haven’t found it useful.. possibly the wrong therapist? I’m not sure. I’m really afraid to gain weight if I start to eat things I want, which is why I restrict (but leads to bingeing in the end), it’s really difficult
      Jzk for the well wishes

    • Monica
      Monica 9 months ago +1

Sorry to hear you struggle with BED, I used to but I went for therapy with my local eating disorder charity. Fast forward a year I now have a much better relationship with food and no longer binge. Therapy really changes your mindset re food and develops better habits, at least it did for me anyway!
So for anyone struggling with BED or eating disorder in general I'd really really suggest going to the GP who can refer you to an eating disorder specialist or a charity in my case which then offered me therapy. Insha'Allah it gets better for you sis

anything that is self-destructive is usually a form of self abuse--perhaps we were abused as children or in a relationship and now our nervous system seeks this same abuse/feeling for a sense of normalcy--or perhaps we are carrying guilt and then having behaviors to punish ourselves

Even though a lot of us have been following you before it, the hijab thing definitely turned your channel around. But the thing is, a lot of us relate to you more and maybe it's better to have our kind of following rather than that grouchy group of Muslims who are just waiting for you to slip up somehow. I went through a hijab off on phase and it was really such a personal journey and it's impossible for people to understand so I just couldn't be bothered explaining. But coming online and seeing others go through it was a nice reminder that I'm not alone and just because I'm surrounded by judgemental freaks it doesn't represent who's really out there and possible new (better) friends, which is what happened for me!

    • J B
      J B Month ago

One thing I’ve noticed about Dina since the whole hijab drama is that seems to be in a much better place now religiously than before. Her relationship with God seems stronger and she seems more content. These haram police don’t realise how much they push people away from Islam with their hateful comments, also how much they are sinning simply by bullying someone online. Hijab is compulsory in Islam but it’s not the only thing, manners and kindness is a lot more important

That so-called preacher should have known better and I'm glad you didn't respond, and ignored him. Let the lawyers deal with the lie-for-profit individuals trying to clamber up by using you. I think you have a self-awareness that many don't have and an obvious desire to grow. Not everyone has that gift so I think you're being quite generous in thinking that everyone does. Nice vlog and if time permits, how about a Sid & Dina advice vlog...

OMG intuitive eating for a binge eater is a terrible idea! Definitely don’t do it 🤗

Dina.. I miss your videos. I’ve been watching since you were a teenager making toga shirts out of old scarves. Seriously, wishing you all the best. Love

You are amazing.. I have been watching you 8 years when I married my Pakistani Sadiq. I truly felt for you. Adam Saleh is going through some things that have bit him in the butt. He was such a creep to you and sid.

Everyone has his or her path to travel. ☺️ Maybe Adam Saleh regrets the hate he sent Sid and Dina's way and is working on himself as well, inshallah. ☺️

That’s 100% true- people pretending to be something they are not but online they portray themselves totally different. There is an “islamic person” online here but in reality he was so abusive and backward it was horrendous 😒
