Very good point. U played better cause u didn't know u were playing him. Well said. Alot of people are probably at Carlsens level. Yet knowing that u are playing him. Gives him the advantage.

cool man! like your style of teaching, much more laid back than others I've seen. You take it seriously, know your stuff, but....well, don't have your head up your ass lol.

    also, nice job!

Very good for you! No one can take that away from you! I'm just an average chess player, no rating or tournament play, and I've got a win against a 1950 on the chess with friends app! I'm proud of that...no matter what excuses the player had at the time! And no matter what other assholes say about it! He won the rematch...easily. I'm ok with that.

Whoever beats Magnus, even if he was diving with phone in his hands, and playing chess while he was running from sharks deserve credits. So well done my friend, you are so modest and nice guy and I love to watch your videos. Keep with good work you are doing and good luck in future games.

awesome video, i have a question on how to keep the focus during the game because some times i can play good and sometimes very very bad :D , i mean for example i been playing long maybe 25 years, some times i can go up to the 2200! and couple of times i break it to 2230 but suddenly after i drop to 1900, 1800, 1600!! like i cant keep it in almost fixed position!. appreciate your advice. thank you

First off I’d like to congratulate you on beating Magnus. It is not an easy feat by any means. However. And I’m not downplaying the win at all. But however, it is bullet chess. I believe in your skills, IM Eric, but if it had been say even a 3 minute blitz, do you think you still would have performed as well?

Jokes on you-Carlsen was getting head from the Norwegian Miss Universe candidate while he was playing you. He finished right when he hung the rook, so all in all, pretty good performance for Carlsen, considering the circumstances. Nice try though.

why is it that chess players like to attribute a win to the opening they played when in fact they won the game because the other player hung a piece or played a blunder in an equal end-game??
so did you win because you played the Budapest or because he hung the rook in an equal end game?
