I doubt you'll see this, but I will buy you almost any replacement headlight for your 5.75 RRI headlight! I've been searching literally world wide for ONE so that I can "finish" my sporty build when I fly back to America from the Middle East in 2 weeks and this will be the final finishing touch aestethically

Hey brother, I have a similar situation. I’m running a cheap knockoff from China and I just bought this RRI Headlight. The connectors on the back of the light do not match the connectors that run into my bike and it seems like the headlight bucket that’s currently on my bike is too small. So I purchased the larger headlight bucket and for some reason nothing seems to fit in the larger one. Do you have any suggestions or tips?

As far as the connector goes, I know they had one batch go out pretty recently that had them wrong. I would contact RRI about it. As far as the bucket goes I have no idea

Do they make them for victory cross country

That light is fixable. Get some 800 grit sand paper and wet sand it a couple of times. Go get some clear coat and put 2 or 3 coats on and you're done

Dose the new head light have that cross light "beam" like the stock light? And any dead stops when turning?

Xylene, Methanol and Acetone all react with poly-carbonate plastics. They cause swelling, discoloration and etching. This is what is in Goof Off Pro Strength Remover (cited from SDS Cheap Knock Off headlights will use the lesser quality plastics for lenses as they keep production cost down thus giving you a lowcost alternative to the OEM. Don't get me wrong, I'm always into seeing what the "knock off" OEM products are like and really appreciate you homework on these products. You always do a killer review. Just future reference, I'd stay away from any of these ingredients for future plastic cleaning. Try an alternative that doesn't etch like acetone etc. Love the channel, keep it going...we're in winter mode again here in NH...snowing now and again Tuesday...LOL

Great episode I like lights and your change. If you'd like to recycle your old light give it a buff up with a cut and polish compound to remove the damage and give it to one of your mates. Please look at my channel.

Where’d you order those spoke covers?

  • Kyle Zapf
    Kyle Zapf 7 months ago

Well, you are the king of installing them upside down, also I always use Windex for removing gunk from lights as googone has done that to me in the past as well

Have you tried an automotive grade compound and polish on the headlight? It might bring out some of that acidic acetone stain.

That $40 Amazon LED headlight was not glass... the lens is plastic, that is why it had issues with that particular cleaner you used. The brand name "Goo Gone" wouldn't have eaten into the material the lens was made out of. I've used Goo Gone on dozens of different plastics and polymers without issue. I believe the name brand stuff is made from citric acids similar to the "Fast Orange" hand cleaner products. I like the look of your new headlight, I went with the Moons MC Fly Eye for the high lumen output it has. I would like to see a comparison of the beam output from both to determine which I like better, I might have to make a trip down to Texas to meet up one of these days. As always - keep up the killer work on the awesome content bro!

I used WD40 to get my sticker off when I got home. I've always used it and it doesn't harm any surface I've ran across.
