@TheDbzmayster Well if it is resistant it’s not done very well. No glass should break if you land over the trucks like that. And if it does it’s sh*tty glass

@HarmlessPoisons the way it breaks show that it is tempered glass not normal glass

I have this great idea for you: I was thinking, we could make you a skateboard out of a way tougher material than this. Something rigid but flexible, easy to get ahold of, and durable enough to last for years. I think I'll call it "wood". Boards start at $10k.

For everyone asking why it's so expensive it's just glass,, spend some time working in a glass shop and then you'll understand that there is no such thing as just glass!!!! That looks like a custom piece of very thick glass which cost a lot more than the crap in your windows the thicker the more expensive additionally it looks like it's been cast to give it that shape which means it's going through a very expensive kiln, and then it was probably tempered, so that when it breaks it does so safely, the tempering process also makes that thick piece of pretty sturdy glass a lot more likely to explode,
I was helping a friend replace a panel of glass in his cabin door if we had got the cheapest piece of glass it would have been something like $50 or less but frankly taking that an hour on a boat then hauling it up a cliff would have meant that by the time we got there there was a thousand shards of it, instead I opted for 6 x 6 mil laminated glass, which means it was 6 mm thick glass rather than 3 mm thick and there were actually two pieces of it and they were sandwiching a thick silicone membrane,, it cost about $350 but the result is something that we could have dropped down the cliff and even if it was broken it would still be in one piece, this is how bulletproof glass is made but they are thicker than 6 mm, and if he had made that board with 10mm x10 mm lami or even 8, he could have bounced that thing off the ground all he wanted and it wouldn't shatter like that would just start to get a little more flexible

Working as a carpenter with glass very often, I can say, that doesn't cost that much. For sure, glass with a round shape and drilled holes is more expensive than normal window glass, but not so expensive.

@Jr Eustacio That's no problem. I just received my order for a curved glass this last Thursday.

But it needs that special curve in it. I'd like to see bill do that.

Bro I laughed way too hard at this comment!!! Why would you buy a skateboard shaped piece of glass for 7grand, you could probably just find a random shop that would charge way less to supply and cut a piece of glass

Lmao you can get a 3ft by 3ft glass mat for $60 on Amazon so I think it wouldn’t be more than $250 to custom cut one of these, even with double panel glass.

This is security glass -you can tell because it doesn't break it shatters-
But yes 7000 is an extremely high amount

If those cost 7k, someone needs to get sued for thinking that's even okay.
