Question: if the breast is at 164 but the dark meat is at 156 with another 19 more degrees to go to hit 175 want the breast meat be over cooked as it is basically at 165?

One of the chicken cookers at Costco told me that they inject all the rotisserie chickens and then cook the birds to 185+ degrees. This way they never sell under cooked chickens and the birds maintain juiciness. That chicken looks mighty fine Troy! Is this rotisserie something you would use regularly to justify the cost? I’m thinking cost wise, I mean, as good as this looks, would you go with the Santa Maria attachment or the rotisserie attachment, if you could only get one or the other? Thanks.

Hey T-Roy! It's been awhile since I've seen one of your videos, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I see you have a new Lone Star. Did you replace the Wichita, or did you keep it?

HAHA! I just watched the seasoning video of the LSG. Glad you passed down the Wichita. I really hope your son gets some use out of it and is able to master that fire management.

  • steinbornbb
    steinbornbb 10 months ago

Hey T-Roy, I like your passion first off BUT HOW can you possibly publish this video that demonstrates your ignorance full of stupid errors and mistakes?? I also have a Gabby's grill and I was hoping to pickup some pointers from you but it should be the other way around. One say to push the motor back every now and then so it will not fall off? You are like witnessing an episode of the Keystone Cops. If you thought things through (?) you would have figured out you need to adjust the SPIT ROD by measuring (yes, do a little math if you know how) and centralize it....duhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Can you even read?

Love your videos from Georgia. I use to live in Austin up in the Anderson Mill area. I really miss Texas food especially the BBQ. Here in Georgia it's just pulled pork and more pulled pork. Your cooking skills on the pit are amazing and make me wanna just come back home to Texas

I sure love the way the rotisserie cooks a chicken. From my experience they cook so even throughout and most importantly you get that crispy crust. I bet if you have basted it with some Eastern NC sauce it would have made your tongue slap your brains out. LOL!!!!

nice addition to the colection T- roy, think you will have to make a bracket that holds that motor on, sounds like a pain in d ass having to keep it on.maybe make something on a hinge that goes behind it so you can just flip it up to remove the motor.
