Had tickets for years. Never understood why people leave early. No matter the score or who were playing. Wait all year for only so many home games and then leave after halftime. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Tua is raised Old Samoan way. Humility through Christian beliefs. God above all, Parents, then siblings and then their peers, the world. Fa'a Samoa.

When your opponent show their utmost respect for your skills on the field even after they lost it's a beautiful thing to see. No words are needed. Tua is one of the most gifted quarterbacks I have ever seen period. Reminds me a lot of Aaron Rodgers with a perfect spiral on the ball. Tua's accuracy is off the chart. Did you see that accurate pass to the end zone near sidelines? What an incredible throw. Tua is easily a frontrunner for the Heisman. However, Nick Saban is killing his stats by pulling him after two quarters.
Does Nick Saban not realize this? Is he jeopardizing Tua's Heisman chances for loyalty to Jalen? I'm not really questioning Nick Saban. I just don't understand what he's doing. Perhaps Saban is giving Jalen his 4 games so he can redshirt and transfer after he graduates. I like Jalen and wish him well.

GuessTechSports. Honest assessment. Thanks. Any score prediction for Alabama vs Ole Miss.? Just curious.

    • GuessTechSports
      GuessTechSports 9 months ago +1

Short of Jalen actually turning things around, or switching positions at another school and getting into the NFL to be financially set for life -- I don't think many people realize that Quarterbacks who do well at Alabama and show loyalty receive , in turn, loyalty for life from the program and the inhabitants of Tuscaloosa outward into the southeast. A LOT of players receive well paying jobs primarily from their association to the Alabama program being former players. Jobs they wouldn't have received with the same degree (or lack thereof) if they hadn't played for Alabama. It's certainly something to weigh.
In Jalen's case -- He has legit NFL athleticism but it's no harnessed in the right position (unless he has finally broken through and will progress to a new level this year behind tua..) But nonetheless it's not just CLEAR CUT that Jalen has no path to the NFL so it makes his decision to stick or leave Alabama that much more difficult. Add in his father,.. even more difficult. I just hope Jalen ends up where he NEEDS to be.. whether that's at Alabama or elsewhere.

@RJ Money agreed. But why not at least let Tua play whole 1st Half?! Perhaps in up tempo mode

No reason to keep Tua in after the game has already been won. No need risking an injury. Saban coaches for the team, not the player, which is part of why he is so successful. Keeping Tua in against Arkansas State for stats would be pretty irresponsible from a coaching perspective right?

I would be surprised if when he is eligible for the draft and if he is considered a top pick he chooses to forgo making money.

    • Jimmy C
      Jimmy C 9 months ago

@Tony Zan deshaun Watson stayed with clemson 3yrs, sustained pretty serious injuries that required surgery, torn ACL, broke a bone in his right hand, suffered an LCL strain and tweaked his knee and was a first round draft pick. Being on a good team showcasing his talent in big games went a long ways. And you can't declare for the draft if you're not at least 3 years out of highschool. Tua enrolled at bama early.
