I currently have a cbr 600. It fun and crazy fast but can be uncomfortable for long rides, I’m planning on getting the Honda rebel 500☺️ I think it’s a stunning bike imo it’s the nicest one here. The reason I want it is because it will be a better daily commuter than my cbr and I also want to put knobby tires on because there are times I travel on dirt or gravel roads and let me tell you a super sport is scary on dirt or gravel😳 so I’m planning on making a nice custom scrambler build out of the rebel what do y’all think?

    • Automotive Territory: Trending News & Car Reviews
Automotive Territory: Trending News & Car Reviews  3 months ago

Sounds awesome. The Rebel might be a bit low for hardcore off roading, though, but if you are not planning to conquer mountains it will be an awesome project. Good luck with it and make sure to drop a link in the comments section on my channel to the video of your Scrambler once it's done

It's the price for the new bike and one of the best equipped models. Of course those can't be given away for free but compared to some other options, 18k is not that bad (also there is an option of getting a used bike, of course).

To me, a cruiser has feet forward foot pegs to lower the seat and for looks. The Harley Softail was the first in 1986, to look like their famous 1936 Knucklehead with no back shocks. My cruiser is a 2002 Honda Shadow 600cc VLX that I bought new for $5,100- fun to ride, 60 miles per gallon stock, low insurance cost, known for going well over 100,000 miles before the junkyard, and a 4-speed transmission like the 1936 Knucklehead. Drawbacks are a lot of engine vibration above 60 mph, the stock seat is not comfortable, and the clutch takes some time to get used to for not stalling the engine from stoplights at low rpm to less abuse the clutch. I also have a smoother, more powerful inline 4 sportbike, and if I was going to buy new it would likely be a Yamaha MT-07 or Tracer 900 standard, or maybe a 500cc Honda standard, or Indian Scout Sixty cruiser for a lot more weight.

You claim you are not lucky ....but IF you are in good health and feel good? You my friend are RICH and don't even know it ! A motorcycle is just something else to do....there are so many things that cost nothing or barely anything ....rather than lusting and yearning for things out of reach, simply disregard those in favor of things IN your reach ....and PLEASE enjoy your health! many of us would give everything to to have health and vitality again ...owning a motorcycle takes our mind off it perhaps but trust me ...it is TRUE that if you have your health? You have everything!

If your physical strength allows you to handle a machine like this and you spend a considerate amount of time practicing or probably working with an instructor, then it might work out for you. Still it would be nice to talk it over with your instructor. It's never a good idea to underestimate a machine. Especially for a first-time rider.

Surprised that a Suzuki C50 boulevard wasn’t mentioned. A brand new one is only $8250 before tax. The bike is shaft driven so less maintenance work. Sure it’s not as fast compared to chain or belt driven, but it is a nice bike. For the cost, I’m surprised it wasn’t mentioned. As long as you maintain your vehicle and do it correctly, it still doesn’t matter which brand you get. Sure there are those weird moments that a vehicle randomly acts up, but it’s man made and isn’t suppose to last forever. If something is acting up, look it up on videos so you don’t have to spend an arm or leg at a dealership. Motorcycles are not that difficult to work on, but rather fun.

Yes, I found it interesting. I got back into riding a little less than 2 years ago after a long hiatus. Not wanting to start back too large at my age I considered the Rebel 500, but decided to go very retro and all the way back to my BSA roots and get the Suzuki S40 (Savage). I really like it. It is everything my BSA lightning wasn't - Primarily reliable. As in it starts every time and the lights stay lit. LOL. And little compares to the large displacement thumper for fun.
For your narration, Your accent is insignificant and your enunciation is good. But my suggestion is to vary your cadence and volume a little, be a little (not a lot) more emotional. My suggestion, not criticism.

Sorry you are offended. No, your accent is not what gave me that impression. I didn't notice a particular accent. It was your speaking cadence and speaking mannerisms. Sorry again, but those things give your narration a rather robot like sound. Nothing personal. I listened to the video again and still get the same impression. If you want to attribute it to my perception, that's fine.

    • Automotive Territory: Trending News & Car Reviews

Hi there. Since you are new to motorcycling, I would say you shouldn't be looking in the direction of these two. Price is the major concern, plus the engines are overpowered. I would suggest more humble variants like Honda Rebel 500, Kawasaki Vulcan or Yamaha Bolt, and buy them used to save money and get more familiar with the Moto world. However, prior to buying the first bike, I strongly urge you to attend the motorcycling school and master to perfection small 125 cc bikes. Hope this helps

Yes! I own one, and the stock seat was good for short rides, but after 30 minutes on the bike, it was uncomfortable... so I changed it for Harley's dual Sundowner and the problem is gone :) I've also read that Saddlemen seats are a great replacement option. I don't think that this is a big problem, because most riders also change their seats because of aesthetics, so a great percentage of Street Bob owners would change their seats anyway.
On the other side, there is a small group of people that have no complaints on this issue.

Hi there. I had only ten spots and trid squeezing in my favorites. Appreciate the suggestion. Maybe I will feature this bike in the future. Did I miss any of your other favorites? How did you like. The lineup overall?

The real advantage harley has over most other brands is their service dept. Not that their mechanics are overly better or cheaper. But in that it doesnt matter what year harley you own they will wrench on it. Honda wont touch anything older than 97-99 depending on the dealership. This means that unlike harley if your not mechanically proficient and dont have a full set of tools do do everything your bike will ever need done to it then well buddy your bike has an experation date. I havent seen a harley dealership refuse to service or do repairs big or small on any harley. My dad owns an old 70's model harley and he can ride it but doesnt get around all that well and his local HD dealer is more than happy to keep it rumbling along.

Honda will work on any Honda that comes into our workshop no matter what age or vintage Honda that you ride. Parts are just a little bit longer to get but we can get most parts one way or another. Buy a Honda and we will keep it serviced and in good riding shape for you.

Screw all dealers in their service dept. Independent shops work on all bikes.
