Its sad because with ridley gone j.hurts finna be extra trash this year
TUA CUT YOUR HAIR MAN
From the view of a day, looks like tua will have a starting job. Jalen should move to RB and be a third string qb behind Tua and Jones. Love Jalen though
I wish I could play qb at Alabama
Tua starting cause if you play football Qb that says the Cadens are the starters 💀
Honestly i just want to see both Tua and Hurts get their time on the field to help Bama be successful. That's the most important thing and I am happy Hurts did not leave Bama
TUA is one of those special type of athletes he’s gona be big tyme soon he’s a blessed athlete 🤙🏽
My boy Enos is working with them too??... were talking about a guy who turn Austin Allen /Brandon Allen into the best qbs in the sec especially down the stretch.. Austin Allen even with a bad oline against bama threw for over 300 yards in the 2016 matchup.. this offense was good already last year.. but bamas going be dangerous this year.
I've said this since his freshman year, Jalen Hurts cannot throw the football. People only started to realize it in the finals a couple months ago versus Georgia in the first half and jumped on the bandwagon when the Alabama "fans" realized they had no shot with Hurts throwing the ball. With that being said, Alabama still made the right decision with sticking with Hurts over Blake Barnett. Barnett looked like a deer in headlights in his start. Lol
Tua will be the starter. Know that.
If Tua doesn't start he should transfer. He is simply too good to back up iffy Jalen Hurts. How many more times will Tua have to bail out Nick Saban and Jalen Hurts? If Jalen is named the starter that means he has learned how to go through his progressions faster, can read defensive schemes, and can throw accurate passes beyond 10 yards. Also identifying opened receivers without first running with the ball. If not, Tua will have to come in again and bail them out. Defensive coordinators know how to play Bama with Jalen Hurts as QB. They simply load eight men in the box defensively and dare Jalen to beat them throwing the ball. They will do the same in 2018 against Jalen. Bama defense may not be able to bail Jalen out like they did in 2017. Bama won in spite of Jalen Hurts.
I agree, Tua should transfer if he is not the starter, he is by far better than Jalen!
I think bama should have a 2 qb system
TheFinalNovaa that’s stupid... how do you expect them to get rhythm and who’s gonna play in the clutch? It’s obvious tua is better... hurts will have to play backup or switch positions.
Do any Bama fans realize that Tua is the better qb here??? Do you guys understand that without him, you wouldn’t have won the natty??? If Tua doesn’t start this year, he may as well transfer... Tell me how Jalen is better???
Jalen hurts??😂 Trashh
Shid give em to us then.. Nebraska would love to have em..
Good work fellas
Who is that? #18
Candy. #18 is Chris Howard from Gainesville Georgia. He is a junior. www.rolltide.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=4694

#10 can play as well. He has cannon like tua
Jalen has had 2 full years under him, if he can't throw by now then he's not getting any better in the pass game lmao for all you saying maybe he will improve lol Na he's already the best passer he's able to be
+Wes M lmao it has nothing to do with hating..... Jalen is a great athlete and I hope we find a way to get him on the field, but hes a below average quarterback.... people see that 24-2 record and think jalen was responsible for that.... we won those games in spite of jalen, hell 2016 we could have won the majority of them on defensive and special teams tds alone...jalen didn't make many mistakes because of his inability to read defenses and his refusal to throw the ball until after someone is wide open, which led to an absurdly high number of three and outs that most teams couldn't have recovered from.... only a casual football fan who really knows nothing about the game would think this QB "competition" is going to be close.... jalen is a GREAT athlete but a below average quarterback.... hell Calvin Ridley wouldn't have been a first round pick last night if it wasn't for his freshman year with Coker (who's just an average qb himself) because no one would really know what he's capable of
I agree 100% he's going on his 3rd year but these fans keep saying these ridiculous excuses why Hurts can't pass bcuz he still learning. Wow, I guess Tebow and Kapershit should still be in the league bcuz their almost there with there passing game. Just a lil tuneup on their passing mechanics smh. Hurt doesn't have it in him, passing IQ he lacks.
bunch of haters. and you guys are hating for no reason. Bunch of bandwagon fans
I totally agree. If you start 28 games and still can't hit a wide open receiver, or go through your progressions, or read defenses, or have (at least) half decent timing... you are no quarterback. And Jalen is worse at all those things than every starting qb in the SEC. People who think otherwise obviously know nothing about football.
Tua got injured.
ESPN reported like 2 hours ago it's just a minor injury and he'll more than likely return before the end of the spring practices.
The Throwin Samoan!
Olivia Lanier He is SAMOAN! TAGOVAILOA is a Samoan last name. He's not Hawaiin. He was just born there.
Olivia Lanier sorry buddy he's Samoan same as Mariota. Just bcuz he grew up in Hawaii don't make him Hawaiian it's the blood that flows in his veins. Btw Hawaiian are from Samoa so your kinda right lmao.
Alonzo Sanchez Its Samoan, not Somoan.
i stand corrected, Gracias!
Olivia Lanier yes he is Dunder Head Not Only That He's The First Samoan Quarterback To Win A National Title, Bandwagon Fan
It's going to be a wonderful season for the tide jalen will be starting
DB - But the difference is that you have no HATE for Jalen Hurts!
steve edwards being a starting quarterback at Alabama doesn't mean u just have to throw the ball it's more to that if u know Alabama football and a die hard fan u know Alabama NEVER been a passing team period our run game always opened up the passing. Ok just name one quarterback in the last 10 years that was an awesome QB and went pro and did sum in the NFL I'll wait. This spread shit is all new with these new coordinators every year it's complicating or did everybody forget the whole offense with all these retarded screens and designed runs for Jalen that was so easy to read hell I could of tackled him from the house
steve edwards As a Bama fan I’m very split on who should startJalen has been my favorite for the past 2 years now and I love how poised he is at certain moments (Miss st) and his leadership and maturity is also greatBut Tua is also poised and has good leadership and maturity and definitely isn’t afraid of passing the ball downfield and can read defenses like the national championship I want to see what both QB’s can do on the spring game and I hope nothing but the best of them
Check the stats and then tell me who starts. Passing statsjalen comp % 60.5Tua comp % 63.6Jalen yds / att 8.38Tua yds / att 8.3Jalen TDs 17 Tua TDs 11 (36)Att / TD 15Att / TD 7Jalen INT 1Tua INT 2 (6)Jalen fumbles 3Tua fumbles 0 (0)Jalen QBR 152.10Tua QBR 174.97Rushing stats Jalen yards 865Tua yards 133Jalen avg yds 5.6Tua avg yds 4.93Jalen TDs 8Tua TDs 2 (11)Jalen threw 3.32 passes to Tua 1. The numbers in ( ) are projecting Tua's numbers out to the same number of throws. Jalen ran 5.7 times to Tua 1. The numbers in ( ) are projecting Tua numbers out to the same number of runs. Just thought some actual numbers might help the debate. My thought is I'll take 2 additional turnovers for 28 more TDs.
coachran Jalen Hurts should transfer to the University of Houston, Rice or Texas A&M.
Everybody TUA BROKE HIS THUMB IN PRACTICE!!!!!!
nick gaming He’s already back...
nick gaming oh my God do you think it will heal before September?
ESPN reported like 2 hours ago it's just a minor injury and he'll more than likely return before the end of spring practices.
On his throwing HAND!!!
Wait why is dylan moses with the qbs ?
Death Row Is that #18?
It's weird seeing Jalen without his dreads.
Coach Dan getting the young men in fighting shape. Roll tide #TheHuntFor18HasBegun
Might as well have Jalen working with the rbs and te/split backs 😃
Dae Bruh so it's the coaches fault now bcuz the playcalling is stopping Hurts to be a legit QB wow....
Jonathan Beeler there’s a reason you’re not a fb analyst or coach.
They stop Jalen because he lacks the ability to do anything a qb should be able to do. This has been proven time and again. Jalen just plain sucks. If you think he's better than Tua, you're on some really strong drugs. We're comparing a qb with every tool to be an NFL starter vs Jalen who will never make it to an NFL team, even as a backup. He just plain sucks.
kd Thomas jalen is a better QB for bama overall imo. The thing about tua is, he only looked so good because the gameplan wasn’t to stop him , it was to stop Jalen. So when tua gets in , everyone is shocked and playing differently because they don’t know what to expect.
They’ll run a 2qb system Tua is definitely the better passing qb but to be honest if Jalen can hone his throwing skills which he can throw unlike Tua he cares about what nick wants he scared to make a mistake and which Tua doesn’t care because he believes in his ability nick saban said himself Tua wouldn’t have passed the ball after that sack if he would have gotten to him before the snap
Who's number 18?!
Its dick head junior
shooter4805 Dylan switched from #18 to #32
patrick kimbrell That's Chris Howard from Gainesville, Ga...played WR last year...Gardner Minshew signed with Washington State instead of Bama
patrick kimbrell I was gonna ask the same ???
If or when Jalen realises he can throw it as good as anyone look out ! ... They all look like they ready to play .. Tua Tagovailoa watching his release his stance just his whole demeanor he just looks like he could play on the next level period
John May Jalen knows he can throw if u watching and see he still has the strongest arm on the team u can't blame him for all them damn designed runs the offense coordinator had for him cuz that was his excape route but when u shut the run down and make him pass it's obvious and u become one dimensional looking to one star receiver and that's Calvin Ridley and teams watch footage and do their homework. Not all Jalens fault and Tua has better footwork than Jalen that's why he was able to get sum of those passes off . Jalen just need to work on that and his mechanics and he's the stater bet
There’s different ways to spell realize.
Dae Bruh he has a running capability that causes a hesitation in his passing game Auburn exposed that by shutting down the run and dared him to pass Georgia followed suit. When they balance his talents. I think Tua would have beaten Auburn
Jonathan Beeler (Laughing your right ..
Jonathan Beeler jalen CAN throw , he just doesn’t have the confidence that tua has. There’s a reason he rarely makes mistakes.
Let’s go tua
Tamika Jones If u think Tua is not starting over Hurts this season than you don't know shit about football. Tua>Hurts easily!
Tamika Jones he Isn’t a back up they are splitting reps 50/50
He broke his thumb
"GONE JALEN!" FunnyMane 😂😂
Get em Hurts!! Lets gooo
Billy Blanks Oh K. I'm sure Tua will lead the Tide to the title game back to back like Jalen. Can't wait!
CrimsonTide hahaha ACCEPT that ur precious Hurts never did ONE thing that Tua did which is WIN A NATIONAL TITLE so ACCEPT those apples 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😎😎😎😎!
You should ACCEPT (not "except") that Jalen is who led Bama to the title game 2 years in a row. Don't be so sure Jalen will never start again, you could eat your words.
CrimsonTide Hurts ain't starting another game at BAMA buddy, just except it! This is TUA's team and he led his team to a National Title. Hurts not even on his best day could ever make that overtime winning dime of a throw that Tua did to win this game.
