"Are you a doctor?" is the laziest question to ask Dana in that moment. Of course he is not and, as you pointed out, he simply stated his logical conclusions. Speaking "logically" within the conversation of medical advice for a Covid-19 patient does not require you have a doctorate degree.

Took me awhile watching this sport to speak “Dana”. What he really means about Cejudo is, sign a contract and I’ll think about giving you a title shot. But a one and done fight only hurts the promotion by taking shine away from active fighters and only hurts the current champion if he should lose.

@LeonXIII I've known and trained with fighters in the UFC. You have no idea what a UFC contract entails. "Welcome to the reality of signing a UFC contract" is funny coming from you. I'd be willing to bet that you've never signed a contract of any kind for more than $50k, much less a UFC contract that at the bare minimum is for $90k. And that's assuming that you lose every fight on your 4 fight rookie contract.

Francis is refusing to sign a new contract. If he doesn't renew his contract then yes he is no longer with the UFC. That's obvious about any contract that expires. It has nothing to do with what Francis said and has everything to do with what Francis does or does not do as regarding his contract. If Francis doesn't sign a new contract, and it's well within his rights to do, then it's not Dana's choice. At that point Francis is no longer employed by the UFC.
