What is AMD doing? Well, they are evolving technology instead of milking a monopoly and using horrible dirty methods to destroy competition, and free market. AMD will still be long time in jeopardy. Intel however has huge amount of income and capital, and it will be at least financially competitive for years and years.

Not gonna lie. Least favorite WAN show. I feel like Linus is giving Alex a hard time. I can clearly Alex starting to open up during the show as he’s cracking jokes and making points, you can clearly see Linus getting annoyed/ upset. Like as if he’s wasting time or whatever. I think Alex did awesome. 👏

570 is going for $130 and 580 is going for $170. With GTX 1660 out, RX 590 needs to be $199. Period.

Oh, Linus, Linus, Linus. Give AMD a break. I can't believe you were so hostile towards AMD over a damn video card, the RX590. You went on and on and on about disrespecting you with your abilities and tech knowledge. AMD will be releasing very classy cpu's and gpu's very soon and your audience will recall your comments and then dismiss the new technology introduced by AMD due to your rage and anger. Your comments were that horrendous. Please, give AMD the respect they deserve. If it weren't for AMD with their Ryzen release just over a year and a half ago, can you imagine still using 4 core mainstream cpu's produced by Intel today or the outrageously overpriced 8 core variants for $2,000 or more let alone the server chips where Intel charge $11,000 for a 24 core sku compared to AMD'a $7,000 for a 64 core sku. AMD have introduced great technology and even better pricing over the past year and a half. They are "keeping those bastards honest" (an Aussie expression). Nvidia received barely a whimper over their overpriced RTX cards followed by an endemic of failed cards. Be fair. State your point and let it go.
There are many AMD fans who will be disappointed with your outlook towards their favorite tech company.
Based on your expert opinion then, the 2700X must be a rebranded 1700X, the only real difference is a small node shrink. No, it isn't you say.....then the RX590 is also not a refresh of the RX580.

No matter what companies say the desktop market will always be more valuable than the Datacenter market and that's what AMD needs to conquer.
A datacenter may carry 100K processors but there are only a few around the world and they don't upgrade their systems everyother year as I do, and so does many people. There are more then a billion households around the planet and even if only 10% change system every year that's 100 million new cpus every year.
It as always been more profitable to sell a lot of products with a small margin of profit then selling small quantities with larger margins.
How do we know that is very simple. Fiat owns Ferrari and not the other way around.
Unless your taking about idiots who buy overpriced shity apple products but, there's always an exception to the rule. Hopefully that won't last forever. Hopefully.

If you guys were looking for a MacBook Air with the quad-core Intel CPUs it already exists! The 13in MBP is thin and has a better(more color accurate and brighter )screen and with 2 or even 4 thunderbolt ports. Thought none of the MacBooks have touch screens, I feel as a MacBook Pro user myself, that the massive(and don't mind when I say sublime) track pad I don't miss the touch screen.
Also if Apple is locking out Linux from its computers it's just awful. One of the reasons use a Mac is because it supports all 3 major operating systems.
These are my thoughts I hope you consider the 13in MBP!
Love your videos, keep up the good work!

And That's the truth, they have been surviving off of Old Tech and God Like Advertising and Market share for the last 10 years, Especially the last 7 year's, because they haven't invented any thing meaningful and relevant in a long time.... It actually hurt's them to sell us an over priced 8 Core /16 thread CPU at a rip off price of $600 Dollar's..

data centers getting more virtualized and virtual machines are usually spaced out by number of cores. The more cores a bare metal server has the more VMs it can have. System admins also like vendor diversity, so sysadmins have been eagerly awaiting and to do something like this. I don't think intel likes the idea of selling less processors with more cores and less accompanying chip sets. They have probably been trying to limit the core count not to shoot themselves in the foot. AMD comes along and gives huge core counts and Intel is now seeing it can lose market share it, they are scrambling to get core count up. I hope this doesn't start to be a race of the cores where was get processors with lots of crappy cores.

AMD to be competitive? Last I recall that was like the barton line, when they ditched mhz for ratings. Which was 2003!!! After that they maintained the same socket for like a decade.... Least for their CPU's. Sorta wish AMD didn't buy Raedon, least Raedon was always competitive. I AMD only for about a decade, always had an issue.... Went Intel first time 4 years ago since the late 90's and I haven't had 1 single issue...

Given you get 3 free games with it... Hes probably butt hurt his nvidia stocks took a big shit because no one in their right mind would pay $800 for a rebranded GTX 1080ti which is basically all the 2080 is in terms of performance. Also ray tracing is garbage using low res textures and crappy low frames in the BF 5 demo lol. Ah good old Linus butthurt intel shill. Always trying to hurt AMDs image in the market whereever he can.
