If you're interested in archaeology, there was an Assyrian tablet found in the nez perce clan, and a phoenician tablet was found in bat creek, old stories but still unsolved to this day. No genetic testing has been done, no extensive research, the museum just swooped it up and that's pretty much the end of the story there.
A lot of the Hopi myths remind me of the ancient Norse and Phoenician legends, similar gods, and overall stories, makes me think that they're half way related or cousins in some way or another, idk.
