For centuries, the greatest sailors in the world masterfully navigated the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. Her voice had a very Disney Princess sound to it. The Alessia Cara version has production value that is much greater and instrumental but also a much higher budget to make that happen.

The singing and the story of the song hits deep, almost like honoring your ancestors
I've seen this movie so many times Ive lost count, yet it never ceases to amaze with its epic scope, wonderful characters, and stunning music. "How far Ill go" is more than an "I want song"; its a declaration of wishing to go beyond the barriers we and others have created for ourselves in life, and now even five years since it premiered, it hits different. We gotta try and see how far we'll go despite the circumstances.
Everything about this movie, down to the pop version of its main song, just buries _Frozen_ with how beautiful it is. Of course, choosing Miss Alessia Cara as the one to perform it was genius.

So is no one going to talk about that beautiful sand design? Even if it's edited, it is so pretty, with the swirls and lines making it look like a wave. It would be so cool to make it myself one day on an empty beach!
I know!! I was sitting here like “how many set designers did it take to draw that?!?!” As someone who’s worked in production, there are a couple signs that it’s not edited. First, they show so many different angles throughout the song of the design in various stages of completion. Second, you can track the timing of the drawing based on the time of day. If it were edited, they probably would’ve filmed it over two days to get the ambient light they wanted. Third, by the end, a small part of it had been washed away by the tide. And fourth, I’m pretty sure one of the post-production editors accidentally put the wrong shot in at 2:28 because you can definitely see either another person or a machine working on the design.

I watched other version of "how far I'll go" but for me alessia cara is the most beautiful version that i heard. her version is everything and unique than others especially when she pronounce the "daughter, water etc" alessia cara doesn't need autotune, i watch her performance (live) there is no different in her music video ♡ her voice is naturally beautiful, her voice is so cute with or without music background.

I saw Vaina at the cinema with my family, and I quite liked this film : The settings are beautiful, the visual effects too, especially the sea, winch is a prodigious realism. I even bought the DVD. I loved the songs and I recently discover that Alessia Cara sing How far I'll go, and since I've listened everytime. And I found out that the singer embodies purity, the innocence and it really goes with the idea we have on the main character in the film.
