  • Prime Day, Amazon's biggest shopping event, is here, and now one-day shipping is the norm for tens of millions of items available during Amazon's Prime Day event, which runs from July 15 to July 16. To succeed at this rapid delivery, Amazon spends tens of billions of dollars every year and employs 250,000 workers in its U.S. warehouses. The process is an incredible challenge, and Amazon has faced criticism about working conditions at every step of the process. Watch the video to see what happens when you buy a Prime-eligible item on Amazon.com.

I call them Scamazon because I’m always getting scammed by marketplace resellers. Amazon is turning into Ali express and is flooded with cheap Chinese crap. Ever notice when you see the same cheap Chinese electronics with the same stock photos but a different company name on it?

Just think what would happen if EVERYONE did not order from amazon for 1 week to strike for the workers to demand better conditions for the workers. If that would happen at least they would have a little break. Though as people said, warehouse workers in other jobs work just as hard, because Amazon is HUGE.

I feel that Amazon.com is not being environmentally responsible with the excess of shipment material is being used and the use of Palm oil at Wholefoods supermarkets.
When we order something from Amazon.com, we are given only one choice of 2 day shipping. I am appalled in seeing one little item being packaged in big boxes or in double package. The excess of material being wasted and the excess of garbage produced is detrimental to the environment.
I would like Amazon to give us the option on shipment of goods we purchase, whether we want the order to be combine in one shipment package or if it is urgent.
Whole foods was created in the past with the environment in mind, yet, I don’t think Amazon.com is being pro-environmental since its purchase of Wholefoods. I find chocolate cookies in Wholefoods supermarket made with Palm oil. The rainforest in Asian are being destroyed to produce Palm oil and Orangutans are losing their habitat because of that. Also, see the affect it has on global warming: theicct.org/blog/staff/palm-oil-elephant-greenhouse

“The oil palm industry is expanding quickly into tropical rainforest, and increasingly into peat swamp forest. The total land area planted with oil palm in Indonesia and Malaysia, where almost the entire world’s supply of palm oil is grown, has more than doubled since 2000 to nearly 17 million hectares in 2015. This is terrible for orangutans, indigenous peoples, and especially the climate. Besides housing some of the most bio-diverse ecosystems in the world, Indonesia’s forests hold large carbon stocks - but that’s nothing compared to what’s in the soil. One-third of all new oil palm plantations expand onto waterlogged peat soils packed with preserved organic matter accumulated over millennia. When peat soils are drained for oil palm plantations, the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are several times larger than the carbon loss from the forest biomass when averaged over 30 years.”

This desire for instant gratification means enormous CO2 emissions into the environment. Just because you don't see the dirty diesel fumes or airline exhaust when you click BUY, doesn't mean it's not happening. I'd rather wait for my package, or buy local. My God we've become such spoiled brats as a culture of consumers.

My wife gets free stuff all the time. Its random stuff. She doesn't order and the item is in her name. It's totally random stuff that we cant use. She checks her account to see if someone hacked her account and ordered stuff. But no. I get worried Amazon is losing money if they ship free stuff to other people as well. I want Amazon to succeed.

So as usual Amazon is shutting down main street causing "flex" drivers to PAY for all the wear & tear on your car All the while driving for THEM so if you cut that cost out of what they are paying in SOME places you might actually make more flipping burgers at the popular burger joint without the stress. This video looks more like an automated sweat shop. & the only reason they have not automated out the last of the human interaction is because it hasn't been developed yet the one guy actually said something along the lines of the least number of human interactions is possible so are they helping or hurting? as soon as they can I'm sure they will automate out any remaining employees and hey you YEA you PAYING that prime membership you are HELPING to put people out of work Amazon is litterally a LAST resort for me I hate them and everything they stand for & I mean REALLY stand for. I appreciate getting customer service and having that personal interaction I would rather see our workforce EMPLOYED! in something more than an automated sweatshop.

Amazon Prime does not ship as advertised. It is a bait and switch scheme. They simply change the shipping selection (which you undoubtedly chose NEXT DAY DELIVERY) to show that you chose 2 day or regular shipping method. This is what you call, a FRAUD.

Just stop using lasership. Too much work for them to knock, ring a bell or even wait 30 seconds for you to come to the door. So Amazon "Flex" is it's name. I hate it. Lazy, disrespectful scum leave packages in building lobbies for Anybody to steal. You'll can barely deal with trash USPS workers doing it but you should be able to reprimand your own. You see them doing this stupid crap in this very video. Drop and run. Disgusting.
I like how this pushed Walmart to do it without membership. Definitely increased by spending with them. Amazon's changes have pushed me to spread out where I spend my money. Free shipping used to start @$25 and you also could edit orders. No longer. I hate BestBuy's return policy but from time to time I buy there and target now too.

Those employees crying about wahhhhh amazon doesn't care. Stop your lying!!!!!! And as for the gps work trackers. I learned by working at Sears......I was standing around after getting my required work done, and I was in an area of the store where my cash register was located (lingerie) beyond so I thought well the store is dead.....I have a test in the AM, Ill read my textbook until I have a customer since everything else is done in my area. My manager strolls past and asks what I am doing, I told him "I finished everything on my daily tasks and I havent had anyone in my area in over an hour" he said "so you have decided to take it upon yourself to steal from the company" I was like WHAT I have never stolen ANYTHING in my entire life.....I would never.......he said well....we are paying you to be here, we are paying you to work, so here you are, instead of seeing if someone else needs help in another close area, you are reading at the register, and even though you are not able to be seen, you could be finding work nearby in Jr's or Shoes to help, so, in fact you are STEALING from the company, by taking money for work, that you are not doing!!!" And.....he fired me.......seriously the one and ONLY time in my entire life I was fired and I was 17 yrs old and from that point on.....I have to say......HE WAS RIGHT.......when you go to work and do not complete your tasks, do not find a way to help your teams, do not UP your game.......you ARE STEALING. You are stealing funds from payroll, because they could be paying another staff member in a busier area like auto or appliances that are ALWAYS busy but they always want more hours but they cant afford to pay for it........SO yes I was stealing from Sears when I was NOT doing WORK for Sears at Sears while they paid me .........and learned an extremely important life lesson that I carried from age 17 to now 45 years old......that is why they are tracking movements so they don't pay lazy workers GREAT wages and GREAT benefits.....to sit in the bathroom, gossip with other crappy workers and walk around being lazy. If you cannot do a high volume job like working in any factory line style work......don't take the job, because there are PLENTY of people that can hustle that they didn't hire so they could hire you........stop being whiney a$$ snowflakes and GROW UP.....you are adults its a job its not chores for mommy or a newspaper route....this is REAL LIFE.

Just f make it free. The products are more expensive than local Chinese aliexpress, which also delivers in one day or less than a week for free. I don’t get the one-day delivery either; I live in Scotland and get my item at least two days after order. Too bad Amazon is the only fastest online shopping available in UK. Miss my placement in China.
