If the unit mounts directly to the fairing, why do you need a standard bottom mounted headlight? The reason I’m asking is because I have a 2018 fat bob with a Memphis Shades Road Warrior fairing that uses the stock LED brow. Thanks!

good morning John! My apologies for the late reply. The standard bottom mounted headlight is needed because of the size of the unit inside the fairing. If you utilize a top mounted or "brow" style headlight mount you may run across some fitment issues where the system will be resting on top of the brow.
It may be a little more investment or you may not like a traditional light, but you could always do a headlight swap to a traditional round headlight, but again I know some prefer the lightbar style on the newer fatbob.
Let me know if you have any more questions and I can address them or run them by 2wa. Cheers and thank you for watching!

I modified my old Windjammer fairing Cycle Sound housing so I could use a modern single DIN radio in it. It's still kicking tunes since the 1970's!

Someone needs to make a kit like this that works for the Road King Special. A lot of them are running fairings and there is NOTHING for audio.

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  2 months ago +1

John Potter asked and they said it should but the only issue would be from the headlight
It may require some alterations because of the nacelle. But it’s doable!!

      ConnorFXDB  2 months ago +1

John Potter thank you for watching john! Memphis shades does make a road warrior fairing for the road king but unsure if the 2wa system would be the same with zero figment issues. I’ll ask!

Recently sold my supermoto, looking to transition over to a club style cruiser. I just can not decide between the low rider and the street bob.. Got any advice?

    • Sindre E
      Sindre E 2 months ago

ConnorFXDB Exactly. The wild paint jobs aren’t that big here in Norway yet, but they will at some point. And I’d love to spearhead that movement. FXDLs are cheaper than FXDBs here because there are more Low Riders for sale then Street Bobs. Looking at an ‘04 FXDLI now, for my first club style project. It already has Biltwell bars and riser, progressive shocks front and back and a road warrior fairing. So it doesn’t have a long way to go to get to where I want my bike

      ConnorFXDB  2 months ago +1

@Sindre E absolutely spot on! I loved my streetbob blacked out at first; it was my first bike and it encompassed that Harley feel and look by it being blacked out. But then the more I rode and started seeing all the other bikes I started wanting color.
When it came time to change from the streetbob to the lowrider I knew I wanted some color. You cant go wrong with either but my thoughts are if you can swing the lowrider thatd be a little more stretch for your dollar mainly cuz it includes the dual disc front for the dynas

ConnorFXDB I’ve ridden both. Not much difference. And I’ll be changing the bars and the overall setup anyways. I like the Low Rider for the wheels and fender, but also the Street Bob for being mostly blacked out. Though after seing FXDLs with some chrome and a complimenting paint job, like yours, I’m straying more and more away from the blacked out look. Want a flashy paint job, maybe.

      ConnorFXDB  2 months ago +1

both great bikes! I would suggest going to your local HD and test riding both. If youre looking at the Dyna lowrider and streetbob they are similar! With slight differences (lowrider has mag wheels while the street bob has spokes, lowrider has dual front discs streetbob has single)

for the newer softail line the streetbob has a noticeably smaller gas tank and smaller rear wheel. lowrider has mag wheels and streetbob spoked wheels, but the streetbob comes with miniapes and thus also has the added length in lines that will allow you to change bars to t-bars/bar and riser combo without having to change the cables/lines.
