Apart from the excitement over the hybrid CRV, it's nice to see that Honda North America finally decided to bring the bright red metallic (as opposed to the existing orangy red and burgundy options available now) and the brilliant blue metallic to their market. These 2020 CRV color options, available for years in other markets, are more attractive particularly for a smaller SUV type vehicle.

Is this the same powertrain as the Accord Hybrid? I had no idea that they had almost 240 ft. tq. Is it quicker than the 1.5T then?

A compressor for a flat tire. No spare tire. That’s ridiculous. No compressor will air up a torn sidewall

    • Amos Soma
      Amos Soma 12 days ago

Amen!! It's a deal breaker for me. I've changed too many tires because of flats along side the road to go without a spare and have to call a tow truck.

I don’t like all the lower chrome trims. They hunker down the vehicle; making the vehicle looks heavy.

We need the same features as the Canadian version. As well as new infotainment and no fake wood. Also better interior and exterior color combinations. Well and fix the engine!

    Horrible!!
    1) Same oil dilution issue will now inflict this hybrid, otherwise, this would have been a fantastic SUV
    2) Made in America means bad quality
Terrible terrible news from Honda, may you rest in peace.

      Not for 2018.

Even if it could go down the same assembly line the difference in size is allot more than just rebadging it.

Do you think they took a Traverse/Enclave and just hack sawed the running rails for the shorter Blazer/XT6? The floor pan is different along with the supports for a smaller design to withstand roof load tests.

The obvious to the eye is the sheet metal of which none is shared. The XT6 will have some sort of adapticlve shock that the Traverse does not have so the susenpsinon geometry will change from the subframe down. The engine bay and supports are probably very similar unless there will be a 400 hp Vsport version. All of the suspension tuning will be different also.

That goes to the closer Acadia too....

So this will resolve the oil dilution problem of the 1.5 turbo but add about $1,800 to the price for the hybrid? I’m guessing of course. I say drop the better 2 liter turbo in the CRV to fix the gas in oil problem and offer the separate hybrid for those that want the better gas mileage.
