It's an incredibly risky and difficult business especially when you custom build. It's part of what I do for a living. One good strategy is have the customer pay you an investment deposit of 60-65% of the total costs up front. This makes it very unlikely they will cancel at the very last second and leave you with a bunch of parts you need to quickly sell before they lose value completely, or build a PC with them and find a buyer quickly. What makes it especially difficult is the manufacturer's warranty, which runs out regardless of whether you used the part or it's been sitting in a box on your shelf for a whole year.

as much as i like and respect puget system, i think they're really not for gamers nor a typical customer that just want a professional grade computer, rather a professional artist or whoever, but only for those that are already in some sort of business and has already been making money at least at a professional level. why do i say that? well if you just take a look, they're really expensive. i know this may sound a little too harsh but i'm just gonna be straight up honest with you so for those who doesnt know them yet, hold your breath and dont go running around crazy just yet.
yes i know they do a great job on their builds, like thermal check, optimizing performance, making sure everything works great and etc, but when you talk about money vs performance, honestly you'll lose alot on this catagory so if you ever want a custom build from them, i think you consider this as it will have a huge impact on your system.
i've never bought any custom build computer from anywhere but i know from my own experience that building it yourself will be way cheaper than paying someone else to do it for you.
in fact i've also did some research myself for a price comparison. the only down side for you if you were to build one yourself would only be that it requires you to have some knowledge about computers. but again, talking about price vs performance, you are giving so much more than what you're getting, the only catch is that whatever you are getting will be at their maximum performance because puget system will do everything in their knowledge to maximize and optimize every setting for you out of the box, but again you are also losing so much because of the price that you have to pay which potentially limit your chance of getting a more powerful computer from the start. if you are just a gamer, then i think you should just consider building it yourself, or if you are super new to building computers then maybe just buy one from ibowpower and many other cheaper sites, there is not much that can go wrong gaming so for gamers just go for that and you should be good.
i honestly dont know where puget system get their so claim extra performance or speed gain from with same parts and build but i can say with certainty that it is really not rocket science if you just have some knowledge about computer wise. unless puget system can explain or proof that a low end graphics card can beat a higher end card just my optimizing and cranking it settings then yes maybe you should definitely consider it but ofc we all know that is very unlikely so again this comes back to my point of price vs performance. the only thing they can do would just be oc the graphics card to the max to get some more of those extra performance gain but still, oc is sometime risky and not very reliable too its not the best option either. so obviously your best bet would still be that you get the best and most powerful part physically so that it will give you the best performance possible for your bucks, because after all, physical power is what translate into digital performance so always remember that. other wise everyone would just be buying those lower end parts and just oc it or crank all of its available settings to the max and get the same performance as a 10,000 computer, but obviously and honestly, this is not how it works so be ware of that. no matter what anyone say, lower end parts will never give you beast results so be aware of that.

Its hard to get people to buy a Computer from you and its even harder to get people to your Website. I have a Website and its really hard to get traffic and or sales. I do have really great prices though just not enough real Leads...

No building computers is like cabinetry work , you need Pacific wood ,oils, ajust tolerances for what season you are building a custom speciality pease for a person or family's use. Computers are the vary same way . First you find a some one who is looking for computer ,you ask the requirements like 12Volts , with a 24 hour cycle of 2 amp hours , with power on 24 hour run cycal needs to be 42Amp hours on 12volts of direct courant. Needs a 32 or 55inch monitor and blue tooth and 7 usb inputs 4 hmi inputs and a 2 trabit ssd drive and 3 tera bit memory bestest gaming video card and a video card that can do rendering of Autodesk civil 3D and autocad2019 . In 1hours time . All placed in a 28in long, by 13hight and 13 inch death
Would like to see linus build such a system . Haha i know about wood. But i know what i want my computer for the RV to do?

So uh... I checked the website.
Jesus these are over priced, a pc that'll cost a fourth of the price will cost you quadruple.
I wish there wasn't a prebuild PC that'll scam you. yes, I know, they need to mark up prices, but a 4 times mark up? I dunno what is fair though. I'd say a 200 extra fee would be fair... Even their slim PC is like 1,600$
