A Mosasaur is certainly a formidable advisary and it's hard to predict the outcome straight away.
I'd have to examine facts, like place of attack, or was it an ambush and if so, by whom? Was the fight about prey?

the megalodon would still win coz even if the jw mosa is bigger its bite force stil isnt enough to kill the megalodon.also the megalodon would still be more mobile then the mosa.killer instinct or anything else doesnt really matter.aslo in the movie meg the meg kills a humpback whale and destroyed a 20 meter boat by jumping on it

Megalodon against the real Mosasaurus would won 70% because has an advantage with the size and weight and with it's jaws was designed for crush whales
Against the Jurassic World Mosasaurus would loose 65% because In Jurassic Universe Mosasaurus is bigger then a Blue Whale

    It’s depends who strike first
Mosa’s teeth was designed for catching and stunning prey the ultimate advantage was her bite force was strong (INGEN) able to hurt the massive shark
But megalodon was still faster his speed will give him a big advantage against a mosa (INGEN) 1 bite on mosa’s flippers game is over

82 feet, wtf megalodon was only between 40 to 50 feet

    • Carnage
      Carnage 8 months ago

CRAZY KONG 82 ft megalodon vs a 55 ft mosasarus. A 15 ton mosasarus can't kill a 60 ton megalodon you're being biased. Mosasaurus was among the last of the mosasaurids, and among the largest. As with most mosasaurids, the legs and feet of Mosasaurus were modified into flippers, and the front flippers were larger than the hind flippers. The largest known species, M. hoffmanni reached lengths up to 17 m (56 ft), slightly longer than it's relatives Tylosarus and Hainosarus. Mosasaurus was also more robust than related mosasaurids. The skull was more robust than in other mosasaurids, and the lower jaws attached very tightly to the skull. They had deep, barrel-shaped bodies, and with their fairly large eyes, poor binocular vision, and poorly developed olfactory bulbs, experts they preyed on fish, turtles, ammonites, smaller mosasaurs, birds, pterosaurs, and plesiosarus. Although they were able to dive, they evidently did not venture into deeper waters.
The skull of Mosasaurus tapered off into a short, conical tip. The jaws were armed with massive conical teeth. Their paddle-like limbs had five digits in front and four in back. The body ended in a strong tail, which other mosasaurid fossils suggest had a fluke similar to those of sharksand some inchtyosarus. The body probably remained stiff to reduce drag through the water, while the end of the tail provided strong propulsion. Much like the heated debates that plague comic book shops around the world of Batman vs. Superman, Hulk vs. Wolverine, Iron man vs. Batman, the Justice League vs. The Avengers, or any other plethora of battle combinations, paleontology nerds have arguments very similar just for the fun of it. Tyrannosaurus Rex vs. Spinosaurus is a common match and was fun to watch in Jurassic Park III, but this post will be focused on two of the largest predators of the sea, Mosasaurus hoffmanni vs. Carcharocles megalodon.
Both were apex predators of the sea while they lived, but these two monsters would never have met, being separated by about 50 million years. The extinction of aquatic reptiles, the large mosasaurs in particular, at the end of the Cretaceous allowed for massive sharks like megalodon to evolve to fill the void left behind. air, so it would need to come to the surface now and again to fill its lungs with oxygen. Its limbs had evolved to be paddle-like, with skin fusing the finger and toe bones together. They had a slim body plan with a long strong tail and swam with a serpentine undulation of the whole body using the limbs more for maneuvering than locomotion
In the massive jaws 7 ft. jaws of megalodon there were 5 rows of around 276 compressed, Blade-like teeth that were made for cutting and grasping powerful prey. Sharks have skeletons made of cartilage that are typically not preserved in the fossil record and so the jaws of megalodon and a few trace fossils are all paleontologists have to build their hypotheses. The body shape of a megalodon is likely similar to a larger and more robust great white shark. If megalodon exhibitied behavior like great white sharks and was anambush hunter, it would have taken prey by surprise from below and made precision strikes to immobilize its prey with a amazingly strong bite. Sharks are also known for shaking their prey side to side to increase those bite forces. Fossil evidence suggests that megalodon was an active predator of large whales with teeth marks found on whale vertebrae and their teeth were built in a way that they would rarely crack even if they hit bone.
After all of these facts an obvious winner emerges.

the real moasasaur could still kill a megalodon. Moasasaur was 15 -- 17 meters and megalodon 17 -- 20 meters. Not a big difference

      Opossumguy World 9 months ago

bull indominus rex dude, megalodon didn't eat lyvithan though, and the jurassic world moasasaur was much bigger than an actual moasasaur, now a regular moasasaur would get slaughtered by a megalodon, but the jurassic world one was the size of a blue whale

I believe megalodon would win... because if you think about it mosasaurus in real life was 53ft, the one from Jurassic world was 75-90 ft long... that not even double it’s original size. Which means it’s bite force wouldn’t even be double of the real mosasaurus. Double the real mosasaurus would be 26000 psi. I’m guessing seem as the jw mosasaurus isn’t quite 2x as large as the real mosasaurus it would have a bite force of 22000psi, where as the megalodon has a bite force of 40000psi
