Those last few minutes are the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. 😆
But lady, you handled it with such calmness....almost as though it was a common occurrence. 😉
Seriously, I truly admire the way you handle each glitch, bubble and bump in all your videos. You are a great role model for your family. ❤

I usually make my rolls but one time due to time I used the flaky canned biscuits as well but I cut each biscuit into 3 parts then rolled each part and put them in a muffin pan and made clover style rolls. Makes it look more like Thanksgiving.

You could probably put the skin back in (without the juice) until it's crispy if you want crispy skin without the rest of the turkey.

You poor thing; reminds me when I made supper and dropped my meatloaf on the floor. It turned upside down because it hit the door on the way down. My husband took one look at me and the floor and said "come on, I am taking you out." Loved him with all my heart.

Put foil in the bottom of your oven if you don't already When you have a spill, you can just change it .
I Love it!! A cook like me who doesn't have a fancy mixer. Sometimes your youngest is annoying.

Thank you for being you Tawra :) makes me feel so much more normal for my imperfections in the kitchen. I'm my worst if making something for lots of people (the stress and time constraints throw me into a tizzy!) so I can only imagine how difficult it must be to keep track of so many different dishes, cook in front of a camera and speak coherently to an audience AND not forget any steps or details! You do wonderfully and I love that you could laugh and overcome a slight disaster even with all these people watching you ;) I also realise I've just started commenting in recent months with this account and never told you that it's still me (Jennifer from London who emailed you and Jill a few times thanking you for your encouragement). I am still here and watching and didn't disappear off the face of the earth. I am still constantly encouraged by your family and love watching all your shows :) Thank you!

I do a similar method. I use Trisha Yearwood No Fail Roasting Method. I preheat my oven to 500 degrees. I put my turkey up to 15 lb in a foil pan. I place 1 cup of water in the pan and triple wrap the pan with foil. I bake 1 hr and 15 minutes, then turn the oven off. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN DOOR. I do mine at night and go to bed. In the morning my oven has cooled completely and my Turkey is completely done. I then have the oven free on Thanksgiving for everything else.

I love that your reaction is to laugh, Tara. Because we have all been there, maybe not with fire (though we once set the centerpiece on fire on Thanksgiving), but with some kind of issue, and you have shown your grace under pressure here. I cooked my turkey on Sunday, and did not drop it either. I got a Honeysuckle White from Sav-A-Lot for $.49 lb. I put onion bullion cubes in the cavity,, no butter, and did it breast upright. Very, very juicy and flavorful. Going out to relatives for T-Day dinner, so now I have my own. Made broth with the giblets, and then added the juices from the pan, and the bones to make crockpot broth overnight. I nuke poked sweet potatoes for about 8 minutes and then slit the potatoes and put them through my ricer (it keeps any strings). I have been known to do 5 lbs. at a time, and keep in 2 cup portions in the freezer in freezer bags. Just the right amount for sweet potato pies too. I put my peeled, boiled potatoes through the ricer also and only add a little salt and lots of butter. Never had that orange jello salad but it really sounds great. Will be trying that soon. We always seem to forget the rolls, at least I do. And I bet you have watched every episode of "I Love Lucy" and "The Lucy Show" haven't you??? This is just one of the funniest live streams yet. I still think the tp one is 31 though.

The excess juice from the oranges can be used to flavor a white box 🍰 or cupcakes or I would use it to marinate chicken along with spices for a moist, yummy tasting chicken ( can so with beef or pork as well)

My husband went to Food Lion in NC where we live. They had a deal that if you spent $35 for you total purchase, you could get Turkey or a limit of 2 for 28 cents a pound. He spent $35 and the 2 he bought were 14 pounds each and totaled $8.00!!! We feed 23 family members each year at Thanksgiving and Christmas so this was wonderful for our family. God is so good and we are so Thankful. Be blessed and thanks for the video. Have a wonderful dinner together.
