I feel you picked a very lovely neighbourhood area to stay in but also quite posh so the charity shop will be expensive. they're some cheaper ones if you go to east London for example :)

Yes the city charity shops are pricey but i suggest venturing just out of the city as there are charity shops that sell everything for under £5 ..... there is also a charity shop in a place called West Drayton near Heathrow Airport that sell all clothing items from £1 each

If you're ever in the UK I can recommend Manchester for thrifting and vintage!! I found some incredible things there -- my favourite denim jacket for only £14!! There was also this one store that was doing a 'kilo sale', which was basically where you pay by weight which was so cool :D
