as an aussie it's hilarious to watch you explain what pumpkin tastes like. down here 'pumpkin spice' isn't a thing (you might find 'chai spice' but it's not as wildly popular) and pumpkin is a vegetable! A basic, common vegetable, like carrots and broccoli. Roasted or steamed pumpkin is a staple in aussie households, and the idea of it as a dessert is completely wild to us

Hi, Mexican dude here. Black sapote tastes like the chocolate we're usted to eating, say in mole, special beverages, special deserts, using fresher cocoa beans and things. That Americanized-Western knack for Euro choco has got some people's taste buds caught up.

It's so wild to see these fruits I've never even heard of, seen or would even know how to get.
In the Austrian village where I live it's like, do you like apples? Great, here are twelve different sorts. And bananas. Done. 😂

Does this fruit have a laxative effect? Could the fruit be turned into a juice to replace say prune juice? Or to add to smoothies for texture? 😁👍

I'm so glad you explained about persimmons. I didn't realize there were two varieties and have been confused. Remembering one taste from my childhood & then buying one now - sometimes they "works" and other times they're inedible. I couldn't figure out how I was getting it wrong - it's just fruit, right? It's like twin fruits playing a practical joke on me.

In Mèxico, and where I’m from; the name is sapote negro( black sapote) and is other kinds. Is good, not my favorite but good.
I love the other one that I’m telling you, it called chico sapote( lil sapote, and is delicious. Looks like a kiwi, in the outside, and the inside is the same texture as kiwi; but brown and yellow mix and very sweet. And from the tree 🌳 comes the chicle( gum). Natural and flavorless. But is a delicious fruit.

Okay, but it's *BLACK ZAPOTE, with a Z* that's pronounced as an S. The origin of the word *zapote* is Náhuatl, the Aztec language that is still spoken in México to this day. The original Náhuatl word is *tzapotl
    * and I've always seen it spelled with a Z (I'm Mexican) because 😂 sapote is the augmentative of sapo which is a toad. So sapote with an S means big toad 😂😂😂 hence, sapote negro (black sapote) is a big black toad 😂😂😂😂
