Bike N' Bird sweet!!! I just picked up your Aussie poker chip too mate. I just changed my name from Jimmy Mac down under to skid pig. Nice work on the patreon too bro I’m liking it.

"I don't know... I'm not a scientist." Lol! My Hero4 Black had overheating issues here in Dallas until I started use the skeleton case that came with the Sena backpack. Minimal cover to allow for maximum cooling. I know this video is over a year old, but it was in my recommended list. 😉

I really do like the bonus videos! It is always good to see other thoughts and opinions on products that are out there available for use! It really can help someone make a decision on what way to go when trying to make a informed decision. Great work on taking out the guess work for the rest of us!

Briliant vid mate! I believe its a AGV AX-8 Evo Naked helmet which makes this video ultra usefull for me coz im going to get Dual Evo now and i was worrying about mounting space. I see u got it sorted perfectly...could you expand on that tape you used for filling out any gaps please? I assume u dont have a short clip on how you actualy did it? Ill definitely do this set up on mine...was also wondering if this mount would hold Removu S1 stabilizer...which would make this set up above godlike :D

    • Nefrekedyzer
      Nefrekedyzer 2 years ago

Wont spare a penny on that tape mate believe me :D Was only wondering how much u did actualy put there to fill the gaps..like 1 layer or was it more than one? As for stabilizer, would definitely like to try it as seen on youtube...some vids made using stabilizer on helmet actualy did look better in terms of quality...shaking and bumps...all eliminated :)

+Nefrekedyzer for sure! I used the 3m automotive grade double sided. Don't get the cheap stuff! You can find it at auto parts store usually in the adhesive section. As far as the stabilizer goes I don't think this current set up would hold one but with a few extra links in there I'm sure you could make it work. But from what I've seen, stabilizers on head mounted cameras just look funky in the footage. Doesn't look natural. Keep in mind your head is pretty damn stable compared to your hands :)

Nice set up...I have the same helmet and I'm having audio problems with wind noise and a whistling sound at higher speeds. How and where is your mic set up? Thanks.

    • Bike N' Bird
Bike N' Bird  2 years ago

+Danger Damian I have it on the front hard part tucked back against the cheek pad. Not completely under the pad though

Bike N' Bird Thank you!! I thought about that for a quick minute, but never tried it. It's been driving my nuts. Do you just have the mic in your cheek pad?

Are you really sure that Gopros have a better bit rate than Sony's ?
Because When Sony Had 50 Gopros were at 35/45 .
Another thing is Sony's XAVC S is superior codec compared to H264 on Gopro.

      depends on the model,
hero 4 silver is at 45mbs while the hero 4 black is at 60mbs.
very little difference. and if you're uploading to RU-clip, your bit rate is going to get murdered regardless. also with sonys action cam (at least their old one, I'm not familiar with anything they've put out in the last 6 months or so) you're kinda restricted to a side helmet view which I personally don't like at all.

Annotations at the end for the vids bruh, don't forget to add em! I always forget, too, haha. Great vid sir, got links on links on links to center mount the GoPro same as I do, haha
Was gonna ask where you got the decal and quality / durability of it, but saw the comment, and seeing as how you make them, no need to ask! I'm looking to order some soon brother!

Yeah its a setting under the gear on the bottom right! (if you're on a desktop, if you're on a phone, annotations won't work at all)
I'll be here when you're ready!
