ConnorFXDB nice brotha! I actually have the HD daymaker but I recently raised the back of my 2014 streetbob to 14” . Totally forgot to adjust my headlights since the back is higher and front is pointing down a bit more than before. Waiting to get my front suspension done with +2 forks and race tech internals.

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  2 months ago +2

This is the harley daymaker on my bike (but there's many out there with similar output nowhere near the price of the Harley one) check out moto illumination headlight from rogue rider industries!! Running that on my lowrider currently! And the turn signals are custom dynamics led turn signals

the reason you woke up so easily before, but then woke up so tired was probably because the first time you awoke between sleep cycles and the second time you likely woke in the middle of a sleep cycle. Its weird how it works.

Hey, here's some good tunes for riding. That's nice how what you played was in the video. Maybe you just added it back in, by timing it to when you played it on the phone. You did a good job, though.

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  4 months ago +1

yes you are correct! The headlight on the Dyna is a Harley Davidson Daymaker Headlamp! It's bright!
But I would say there are many other more affordable options out there with the same result. RogueRider Industries makes the Motoillumination headlight that is BRIGHT as well as the fly eye headlight from another brand etc

@ConnorFXDB im actually moving to Florida... Lol one way trip. Got rid of my truck, going to ship my clothes to a family member down there and anything else that dont fit i dont need. Time for a change of scenery. Might as well move to a place i can ride year round some what comfortably. I was born in Miami so basically just going home after 20 plus years. But if your ever in that area hit me up, should know where the good hookers and cocaine are by then...haha just kidding...or am I???

At a stand still I noticed your bars don't vibrate that much if anything at all. Mines look like they're shaking their ass off. This is my first Harley.

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  Year ago +2

yes theyre fairly straight forward to do yourself. Main thing is you want to be sure you torque all the bolts to spec to ensure a proper install. Theres several videos on RU-clip to help you out should you run into any questions etc.

    • OVO J
      OVO J Year ago +1

@ConnorFXDB ..its a 2013 Street Bob. Bars are stock. I was also thinking maybe the motor mount. Is it hard to replace? I might try and change it myself.

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  Year ago +2

What bars are you running? What model bike? It may just be your riser bushings or perhaps your motor mount (depending on your bike make/model) Mine had some more shake when my front motor mount deteriorated. I replaced it ($100 for the OEM front motor mount) and it helped!
thanks for watching and excited for your journey with the bike! This was my first harley! Loved it!

haha yes just a tad bit. Theyre 14.2" hagon nitro shocks and I have 2+ tubes in the front as well!
yes the seat is super comfortable! Have put several hundred miles on it at a time on several occasions. I was really curious how it would fair out during this trip and it did amazingly well!
you should def try it! Its not as difficult as one might think. I had similar reservations but decided what the hell might as well

Thank you! Ya its def doable! And I planned gas stops every 110-130 mile ranges (even tho I had a gas can) and it def helped break up the trip and keep me from getting too fatigued or sore from riding. Def an experience!

    hows the trask intake?

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  10 months ago +1

@Jason Agin one of my more favorite exhausts. It sounds similar to a bassani but slightly deeper and when accelerating much more throatier. Really rips!
It was also nice that its a little different from what most people are running (depending on your area). In San Antonio, I was the only Dyna running the exhaust which helped my bike be a little more original in a sea of black dynas hahah
I did enjoy the performance of it and noticed a slight increase in lower end torque. Appeared to be snappier

    • Jason Agin
Jason Agin 10 months ago +1

      @ConnorFXDB and the Trask exhaust?

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  10 months ago +1

I love it! It looks so clean and the clear cover adds that added touch!
On street bobs it does tend to spit out oil from the breather bolts (blowback) but its nothing to worry about. Just the way its designed.
I am def buying this same setup for the FXLR
Cheers and thank you for watching!

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  Year ago +1

Miggy great question! It really varies from chapter to chapter with a few younger riders scattered in between. It’s a great way to meet people in your area and a lot of them are local business owners of some sort and it’s great for networking.
But more of them tend to have older riders in them ranging from 40-60 being the avg.

Good job! If I would have thought about it, I would have signed up for the Iron Butt when I was riding to Vegas from Houston. I did 1100 miles (Houston to Tucson) in almost exactly 18 hours. I did the same as you using my bag for a backrest. Not a big deal the first day but the 400 miles from Tucson to Vegas made my butt numb.

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  Year ago +1

ConnorFXDB I did an "all in state" one. I started in the Florida panhandle and went east to Jacksonville then south to Miami, back west accoss the alligator Alley to Naples and then back north to the panhandle. 1038 miles, 17hrs 56mins. Had gas receipts and pictures from each gas stop, starting and ending witness. It was a lot of fun but yes it's tiring!

My ass is tired after 300 miles. 1000?!?!

    • ConnorFXDB
      ConnorFXDB  Year ago +1

hahaha dude its funny you commented that -- today in my FB memories a ride I planned popped up today titled "backbreaker" came up and it was 360+ miles or so. My first 300 mile ride I was dying hahaha but now its relatively common to head 280 miles to a nearby metropolitan city (i.e. houston, dallas, corpus, etc.) for lunch and quick rip around town and then head 280 miles back to SA.
the more you do them the more you get used to it and pick up tricks or ways to sit on your bike that help break up the trip. A comfortable seat and fairing really go a long way to help the ride more comfortable.
If i get uncomfortable on my seat or get a numb spot I move more to one side or the other and turn my body a bit to the side and it holds me over for 20-30 min and then I'll switch sides or go back to my usual riding position.
thank you for the comment and thank you for watching!!!

Nice. The longest ride I've done is from Oakland to Phoenix. Took me 11 hours to cover the 730 miles.
Wet wipes are better to have than toilet paper IMO. They can double as wash clothes for cowboy baths

      ConnorFXDB  Year ago +2

hahaha that is an option! I'll have to try that next time and I'll let you know if it actually helps or just blows more hot air my way.
Ive been wanting to try the bag of ice trick and see if it actually cools more!

hahaha well now you know! Wear sunblock! Dude i bet!!! I want to hit up joshua tree! I was looking at some AirBnBs in california and some in joshue tree popped up that looked amazing! Esp for night photography. If I had longer time in california I Would def like to spend time in joshua tree.
Dry heat or not, its just miserable lol. I need a fan on my bike. While we're at it maybe a windshield and some barriers on the side. If I do the sides might as well do the top. Then I'll be ready for the elements hahaha a car motorcycle. Cheers Mansa and huge thanks for the support and thank you for watching

ConnorFXDB with Texas heat, it shouldn't be an issue for you to ride to AZ. It's a dry heat. Bring sun screen. I got 2nd degree sunburn riding out there and I'm black! I didn't even know black people could get sunburned! Lol!
I flew my wife to Vegas with intentions to ride there, and took a detour to Phoenix. I only went to Phoenix because the Soul Brothers Annual and AZ bike week was that same weekend. So many people were talking about trailering their bikes so I only rode to prove a point.
I got to PHX Thursday and rode up to Vegas Friday Morning. The ride to PHX is aight, but the ride from PHX to Vegas is beautiful. Great scenery seeing the Joshua Trees, old barns and the red mountains by Hoover Damn.

esp with the texas heat haha cheers bud and thanks for watching! Means a lot!

Surprisingly not as much as I was expecting! I def did get some butt numbness a time or two and would adjust but my main thing was my feet started to get restless and couldnt find a foot position that they would remain comfortable near the last couple hours.
It def felt amazing to lay down after that run haha
      thanks for watchin!

hans gruber I def dig it! I had the diamond stitch pattern previously from them and recently got it reupholstered to tuck n roll. Both comfy but I feel the leather over the gripper material was slightly more comfy.
