I’ve heard they run small. Did you buy your regular helmet size or move up 1?

Good looking. Better looking than the Simpson ghost but I'd rather pay the extra hundred for a more functional helmet.

I’ve been looking at that helmet isn’t it more of a rounded shape style then Oval head shape

lane splitter blows ive had mind for less than a year and the visor rattles like mofo at speed. I reccomend spending the extra money on a simpson

Did you have to drop down in size heard they run big?

I've got Mic Issues too. I've been trying to do a Moto Vlog for over two months and just can't seem to get the audio down.

Been running the bronze metallic with black shield for a year now. I haven’t had any issues with the visor. Even got caught in the rain on my way home after a group ride last week. Seal never leaked.

there is a tiny pin that lines up where the screw is when you put the new visor on, I didnt realize at first but might be causing the issues mine holds at any position

Helmet looks awesome. How does it feel the sunglasses on? I have to wear glasses all the time and I can’t seem to find a helmet that is comfortable with my sunnys or regular glasses.

Sounds like a decent helmet for the money however it makes me glad a spent the couple hundred dollars more for my helmet. Has all the pluses and more and none of the negatives. But yeah, almost double the price.

Shoei RF-1200 in matte black however since I ride a cruiser I just ordered the Shoei RF RS since it's optimized for the upright position. You can blame Blockhead for that😎

I suppose almost double the price would count as a negative if I'm honest😎

I have the same helmet and have 3 different shields for it....the stock clear, the dark tint and the chrome and none of them have any fitting issues. Something is definitely off with how loose it is and that gap you have on the right side.

My visor is the opposite, it seems a lil too stiff when opening and closing.
Does anyone have an issue with wearing shades with this helmet? Maybe it’s my head shape but it feels weird with shades on, the arms or on top of my ears.

I tightened the side screws and loctited them on the first day and my visor stops at any level.

I've been riding on a Lanesplitter for a little over a year. It does the job, but damn is it noisy.
Tighten up your visor hardware, it'll stay where you want.

I've been wanting this helmet for a while and I've been wondering - is the locking tab on the visor annoying or ever difficult to mess with, while riding around? Thanks, Bird. Well done/thought out process as always. Keep up the good work. 🤘

    • onemeaningsome
      onemeaningsome 10 months ago

Just an idea, for the visor/ridge gap - maybe use a little 3m foam (or rubber?) tape to keep a slight seal of sorts when it's all the way down.
And yeah - the locking tab is really far back on the visor, an awkward choice for sure. Thank you for responding. That lock tab and lack of vent closings are the only things that'made me question that helmet.

    • Bike N' Bird
      Bike N' Bird  10 months ago +1

The only thing that im considering annoying at this point (its more of a getting used to type thing) is that the tab is so far over on the left side which makes it a little difficult to lift the visor with your right hand while at a stop light. Other than that its been very easy

The mic is picking up more wind noise compared to the last helmet.
