It just takes that one second of assumption, that second of rolling forward with out looking ahead. You really gotta love too ride to justify this dangerous passion. No one got hurt and that's all that matters. Thanks for the video.

I know I'm late to this video, but it's an accident. That's why they're called accidents dude. You owned up immediately and very obviously felt horrible about it. A shame, but good video anyway.

Glad everyone was ok i had a similar experience when a buddy of mine ran into my rear fender. My bike at the time was 2 weeks old and had a couple thousand miles on it 2015 streetglide special. Luckily everyone was ok and the bike was fixed so. Are we still messing with him about it yes but was still a great ride.

so dramatic, stopping traffic for that?🤪. 7 grand? That's what happens when you ride a 4 thousand pound bike and they're sold by the pound. group rides suck, nobody is paying attention. It's fine, I've crashed dozens of times, shit happens but that's what group rides are, we never went out one time without someone crashing and that's exactly why I don't ride in a group anymore.

Funny how you laughed at a bagger for slowing you down and here you are recking a badass 30k bike with your piece a shit lol. All cool though. No one was hurt insurance will be picking up this tab and future tabs if hou dont change your riding sttle. If other are riding faster than you want. wave them past and we will make sure everyone gets hooked back up on the next turn. no one gets left behind!

Blame it on the head set. Jibber jabbering while riding its just like a woman with a cell phone in a car. lol. This is why I do not use a radio or head set or cell phone for that matter on my bike. Its a distraction I do not need when I am trying to stay alive with the other idiots on the road. But I see how it happened other wise.

I'll tell ya as rough as this is... as with anyone that I care to ride with, this WOULDN'T be a friendship ending event or I wouldn't be riding with that person in the first place... just how I am. Sucks this happened but it's a learning experience for all of us... if anything a testament of how fast things can go terribly wrong on a bike. Hope all is good now... In group rides this is an unfortunate reality. Your video reminded me of the countless times somebody went down on our rides. It happens. And like you, I was fortunate to have good friends that stuck together and made sure everyone got home safely. We have all been there one time or another. Shit happens, we all make mistakes. Learning from those mistakes is what matters most. Ride safe.

I totally understand shit happens I’m glad everyone was OK that sucks that it was that much and damage Harley really likes the charge top price though. That’s awesome he stayed cool about it, when my now wife and I were probably two months into dating I let her daughter borrow my truck and she backed into my street glide claiming she didn’t see it. It takes a lot not to want to blow your top but it really saves relationships trying to be cool and understanding about the situation. Fuck up like this are really only fuck ups if you don’t learn from them. This is just an expensive lesson🙂

$7000 grand at 9 mph..tells me Harley's Davidson is charging way to much for their replacement parts ,glad you didn't get hurt...just dont ride over 9mph anymore... lol..sad but true if you crashed a honda a 40 mph hell you just go buy another one .harleys are so over rated and most harley riders are so deep in the closet they won't ride a sportster because their scared they will look like a girl.must be some kind of confidence thing to only ride a big bike to look like man damn just ride what you want.im sorry this video just pissed me off. .Harley's are too easy to break at 9 mph.ive laid bikes down at much faster speeds..not that kind of damage ,and at the Harley dealership, yep usually a bunch of ass holes thinking there a big man to dress up in costumes to look tuff.and ride a heavy slow bike...real man will ride a sportster.. but its sad the morons in the Harley bunch are to far in the closet or just to worried about how they look instead of just enjoying riding ...just pisses me off...wanta be bikers..in the big MC's they would have made you stay at the club house a polish dicks...damn.

Anyone who tries to Monday morning quaterback this thing other than a distracted accident anyone could have done the same. I almost just did the same fucking thing the other day in a group ride. Everyone else had turned right in front of me at the stoplight, and I had one guy in front of me. I saw him begin to go so I looked left to see if it was clear so I wouldn't have to stop moving again. I caught him again from the corner of my eye and dude fuckin stopped again for no reason (no cars coming). Almost rear ended him.

I haven't read all the comments so bear with me- I often wonder watching these motolog videos- how much all the talking distracts the rider? Ive ridden for 20 years and made plenty of mistakes, so no judgment, just a casual question.

    • Bunnyshooter 223
      Bunnyshooter 223 8 months ago

+Hank Brown when you were a kid you did not have 4+ years of driving under your belt. It legit takes 4 years to 'git gud' when you begin driving. Imo. Its more about reading others and learning how to drive defensively.
When i first started driving i could not talk and drive. Now, its easy.
But i do have to be extra careful because i tend to miss my exit on freeway if i get to that deep yap. I saw same thing happen to a motovlogger here on yt. Yapoed so deep he missed his exit, had to turn around

Uncle Ken - it’s not. Except there’s no bumpers, doors, roof or airbags. A lot of these vloggers are trying to be funny and entertaining or chatting with their buddy’s while engaged in a dangerous activity surrounded by people who could care less in automobiles. When I was young we were told to not even play the radio- you were sure to kill someone if you dared to switch the station while driving.

I've answered it a few times. In short, I do agree that talking does take SOME attention away from the rider. But like Uncle Ken mentioned, it's no different then talking to someone next to you while driving. I can say with full confidence that talking had zero to do with this accident.

Hank Brown Ok, how is it any different than being in a car talking to someone in the front seat with you?

I've just started following your channel.
Such an unfortunate event...but I'll tell you this. Aside from the accident and the bikes, you have some great friends. You all handled yourselves responsibly. Just gonna be another story to tell while sitting around with brew with your friends telling you, "Remember when you crashed into roadblock". Shit happens man, and everyone will learn from this. We (the viewers) will still be here. Ride safe brothers..

Sh it happens buddy, it could have been worse. You never know maybe that saved you from something worse down the road. There's been times where I've been running late for work and because I was late Ive avoided several accidents. So I guess what I'm trying to say is always be late for work 😁

Harley Tax - Lesson learned from this, don't ride a sweet ass bike in a denim color...LOL

    • JonnyRoadblock
      JonnyRoadblock Year ago

Both bikes sustained damage, the Street Glide had rear frame damage, saddle bag - fender-fender skirt damage, left shock was screwed up, and the Denim paint process and supplies are expensive, plus 11 hours of labor... The street glide had $5,900 in damage alone

Shit definitely happens. I bought my Road King Special last Thursday, and got sideswiped by a car last Monday. Don't know what the repairs will amount to, but the damage seemed extensive. The engine guard, front fender, and left floorboard are bent. Passing lamp and saddlebag guard got scraped. There might be more, but that's what I noticed before it got put on the truck.
I got out with a couple of sprains and bruises, so it's not too bad. Just sucks that I can't ride my brand new bike anymore...

Glad you're ok, surprised about the amount for the damage, but these are really heavy bikes, add the rider's weight and even at low speed momentum, it makes sense there will be subframe damage.

If you want to act like a leader and double up like that you both move together up front like I said Amateur!

    • JonnyRoadblock
      JonnyRoadblock Year ago

Huh? Double up? So when you are riding staggered in your group, and you come to a controlled intersection, you don't re-stack the formation? The leader, me, didn't move, bike in position 2 went on their own fruition, so I don't see how that is my fault. But hey, I am an amateur and can't see what you saw in the video... Fucktard!

This is what is putting me off buying a Harley, the CRAZY price of parts, shit happens anyway !!!!

    • JonnyRoadblock
      JonnyRoadblock Year ago

Don't let that be the factor you look at... Yes, the parts are expensive, but if you were on an Indian or any of the Japanese cruisers, the bike would have been totaled due to the frame being damage. HD has a subframe system on the touring bikes that allowed me to keep the bike and just have that part of the frame replaced. Though totaling the bike would have gotten me a new bike and probably on the road a lot faster...LOL

this is how riders get hurt some stupid fucktard who dosent pay attention to what he's doing get rid of those stupid club bars and open your fucking eyes jackass

    • JonnyRoadblock
      JonnyRoadblock Year ago +1

+Chip Fow What you may not realize is that the camera is on the chin bar of the helmet and uses a fisheye lens. The angle and the lens makes it appear like the bars are much higher than they really are. His head is well above the bars; therefore, the bars didn't play in the crash as you assumed. Lack of attention (situational awareness) was the primary cause here, which he states in the video, and you parroted, partly, in your comment. Please take notice in the use of punctuation in my response. Remember, punctuation saves lives.

    • Uncle Ken
