The Marvel Cinematic Universe is, for the most part, an extremely kid-friendly franchise when it comes to its content.
The likes of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow, Star-Lord and Spider-Man have become iconic in mainstream pop culture circles - and that's thanks largely to the fact that children idolise them as if they were real-life superheroes!
But there are undoubtedly some moments in the franchise that simply aren't suitable for younger eyes and ears - and that's what this video is all about.
These are ten Marvel movie moments that aren't for kids - and it should be noted that this video contains spoilers for a number of movies up to and including Avengers: Infinity War.
The moments in question are; Hulk smashing Emily Blonsky in The Incredible Hulk, Pepper Potts and Tony Stark referring to Christine Everhart doing "quite a spread" on Stark in Iron Man 2, Loki calling Black Widow a "mewling quim" in The Avengers, the entirety of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Peter Quill saying his ship would look like "a Jackson Pollock painting" under a black light in Guardians of the Galaxy, Tony Stark saying Clint Barton "can't get it up" in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tony Stark suggesting Bruce Banner and Black Widow might be playing "hide the zucchini" in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ned Leeds saying he was "watching p*rn" in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Loki's brutal death in Avengers: Infinity War, and Scott Lang and Bill Foster "comparing sizes" in Ant-Man and The Wasp.
We hope you enjoy the video. Let us know what you think in the comments. And please remember to subscribe to Screen Rant's RU-clip channel so you never miss our great new videos in the future.

LMAO, nowadays even saying something such as “you dummy” is considered offensive and not kid friendly.
I hope these people do understand that the source material (Marvel Comics) is generally not suited for kids. There are some extremely disturbing story arcs of some of our favourite characters (most notably, Spider-Man)

Marvel movies are at no point kid-friendly. PG-13 means it's aimed at teenagers and older. No kids were accounted for, ever. You need to do a little, or a lot, of research on what is actually appropriate for kids media, because Marvel is... never.

I think the only reason why ther pg13 is cuz they need to stay true to the comics and most comics are graphic the movies are for children cuz comics are aimed 4 teens but mostly children like marvel deadpool is rated r cuz dats how dead pool is in the comics sone disney movies are pg13 so dont think as it as a teen franchise cuz disney is for everyone there only pg13 cuz they need to stay true to the comics

The series is not really “kid friendly” or never really was in general. A lot of their movies are rated PG 13. There are a lot of not as violent versions of the series that kids hear so that is why they idolize the characters.

I think your assertion these films are primarily aimed at kids is way off. If it was aimed more at kids, these lines and some scenes would not exist. The MCU is aimed at kids sure but just as much 30yo kids as much as 12yo's.

all of the movies are the appropriate age that they are supposed to be to allow the 'inappropriate' lines or images so technically its okay and if parents don't want their kids seeing those scenes then maybe they should watch the movie first or they just shouldn't let their kids watch the movies at all.

These movies are PG-13. Meaning age 13+ recommended. If a parent takes their 8 year old to these movies and has an issue,it's on the parent not the creators because a warning is given. These movies are made for more mature audiences in order to truly capture the comics in the most accurate way possible.

I know a lot of people in the comments are thinking that PG-13 isn't kid friendly, but I can explain. If you look closely, PG-13 action most of the time is clean enough that kids can watch it, but at the same time, it's dirty enough that it's best for an adult to watch the movie with the kids.

    • Add E
      Add E 3 дня назад

+Kitty Girl54321 I understood that. Unfortunately, watching the movie with your child doesn't change the content their seeing. If the rating doesn't predetermine if your child sees a film, then you need to watch it to determine that for yourself, BEFORE your child watches it, not at the same time.

    • Kitty Girl54321
      Kitty Girl54321 3 дня назад

+Add E When I said watch it with the kids, I meant that if a kid is going to watch it, it's best that a parent accompanies the kid.

    • Add E
      Add E 3 дня назад

It doesn't mean to watch it with the kids. It means to watch it first, then decide if it's appropriate for your child, and they estimate it's probably better left to teens. PG means watch it first, then decide if its appropriate for your child; what adult themes are your kids going to glaze by or repeat ad nauseum or misinterpret as ok when they're not? G means watch it with your kids. The parental advisory is not a substitute for parenting.
