Hi... love your videos so much... We are in Texas and I don't handle the heat very well... what are the coolest months with the weather being decent to visit both Disney and Universal? Thank you so much.

January through April -- avoid holiday weekends, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, Spring Break and Valentine's Day to avoid crowds.

Great video, thanks for making them.
There are 2 parking garages (volcano bay is also parking in on of the garages).
Show your handicap parking card and they show you where you need to go. You park in the same garages but you are on "bridge level" (so no need for elevators or escalators). There is no tram because it's not too far from the central hub and the bridge area. There are moving walkways you can use in the parking garage.
The bridge has 3 moving walkways (2 go to the parks and 1 goes back from the park, later in the day they switch the direction of the middle walkway). In between the moving walkways you can walk or ride you EV.
There is a third parking option (valet parking) where you always take the elevator up to halfway the bridge (I never used that one).
In general I have the feeling that it is less of a walk and less cumbersome than parking at almost any of the WDW parks (except maybe for Animal Kingdom) but it has been a while that I've been there so things could have been improved.
From the furthest away garage (all the way in the back) it is 0.6 miles to the entrance of one of the 2 parks. With the movie walkways it is actually much shorter. I guess when you visit for the first time distances seem much longer because it's all new but parks like AK and Epcot are much, much larger.
You can bring food, here are the rules:
    www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/plan-your-visit/hours-information/policies-restrictions/index.html
Minions ride is a long wait but if you don't want the moving chair but the stationary one, then just tell the Team Member and you skip the line and go straight to the pre shows (who are amazing).

Re: bringing outside food into the park, I’ve gone to the parks multiple times and have brought snacks in no problem. They also allow water bottles and I’ve gone in with coffee/tea/hot chocolate before as well. I did come through the side entrances from the on site hotels, though, so I’m not sure if they’re more strict on that at the parking garage entrance. From other things I’ve read online, though, as long as you’re not bringing in, like, a full on picnic, you should be fine.

@Pammie Plus Parks Yeah, I go to Universal VERY frequently and have brought bottled water, little snacks, no problem. Unless they changed it you are totally allowed to bring in outside food or drinks as long as they are not in glass or metal containers. It's somewhere on the website. Also, I think that I saw you had the premier pass which gives you free valet parking or if you're like me and don't like the idea of someone driving your car you also get free prime parking, which is usually much closer.

That's cool! The signs I read said no coolers and no outside food -- these were signs leading from the CityWalk area and perhaps are intended to prevent people from buying a box of Voodoo donuts and bringing them inside the park, or something along those lines. I am sure there are many people with special dietary concerns that need to bring their own food or folks who are nursing or have infants that need to bring in food. I am sure they must have a list of exceptions. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Pammie a parade float video would be great. I went to Universal last Feb and watched the parade. I did catch some beads. It would be great to see it from on the floats.

I warned you about the horrible walk from the parking lots to the main gates. I am totally worn out by the time I get to the parks

The walk in was a piece of cake but the walk out was tougher. It wasn't horrible but I know I have to have a better strategy for dealing with it when the super hot summer months come. I think resting right before I walk out the gates and taking a break once I hit City Walk will be helpful. I need to make sure I end my day with enough energy to make that long walk back.

Your videos helped my mom out SO MUCH on our last trip to Disney, especially the Rock n Roller Coaster one. My mom fell out of the coaster car a few years ago and that spooked her out from riding it again. But after I told her about the cars with the opening doors, she was so happy! And it was so much easier for her to get in and out. Your videos make a real difference. Thank you!!!! Looking forward to the non-Disney videos too!

Even if you didn't go on any rides there are tons of meet and greets, shows and shopping. The entire park is really well themed and so much fun to look at. I can't wait to show you everything.

Jennifer...We went to Rock the Universe last September. It was the first time since 1994, before I of A was there and back when I was thin. Here is an idea of my size...I am 5' and around 315lbs. I would say my biggest part is around my hips, lower belly and bottom. I'm also a triple D cup. Hearing mostly that universal wasn't plus size friendly I wasn't expecting to be able to ride. I was pleasantly surprised that I fit several. I did not fit into either of the Harry Potter ones. Or did I try to ride the big roller coasters (I have 2 kids who are to little to ride them) I did ride the dragon one across from the Harry Potter castle. I could ride all the motion rides. Transformers, Spider-Man, Men in Black, Minions, E.T. and even the rides in Suess land. There are lots we didn't even get to...time goes so fast when you're having a blast!!! I can't wait to go back. I hope you have a great time there. Don't be scared to try to ride. I always say if I don't fit is that I would rather not ride and be safe!!!

I noticed there is a lot to do at Universal Studios even if you don't do rides. There are shows, lots and lots of character meet and greets, and tons of shopping. I only did a couple of rides on my first day and had a wonderful time. I hope to show you lots and lots of great stuff.

Sorry I had to dip out early but glad I got to catch the live so I could super chat. When I worked at disney I used to teach all the little princesses how to wave at the Aurora Tea Party at Grand Flo. "Elbow elbow, wrist wrist, give em a wave and blow em a kiss!"

I can’t wait to see your videos. We will be going over Christmas with our Disney trip. My son is turning 13 and Universal is more exciting at that age apparently! Ha!

The roller coasters are supposed to be more thrilling. I did film two ride videos during my first visit and you will see them in the weeks to come.
