Magnus Walker talks about his life journey of following his passion and going with his gut feeling which eventually led him to turning his dreams into his reality.
TEDxUCLA was organized by UCLA Extension Visual Arts
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I feel like some of the points made are misleading. In addition, at 18:30, if you were going with your gut feeling, how would feeling awkward indicate you were on the right track? Wouldn't your gut feeling be the least awkward alternative?

I can relate. Im artistic so I became a graphic designer - thought that thats what i wanted, 5 years later found out thats not what i wanted, my gut told me to quit and drive instead. I now drive for a living and I love it - happier than ive been in years.

What a shame he simply shut down such a successful company. I mean he could have sold it. Or given it to their employees. What about these guys? Are they now all unemployed just because one dude has a gut feeling that he doesn´t have enough space to breath?
Other than that, a great story, and indeed inspirational.

Gut feeling can also be fear Mechanism from a second mind inside of our stomachs that is transmitting signals to our brains to believe what we are seeing is to be feared upon because of something that had happened to us, so in conclusion do not go with your gut feeling, to go with your gut feeling is to go where ever fear is not and you should always face your fears and analyze everything intelligently, connect your mind to think the way you want it to don’t let your body control you, you control it.

What if your "Leaps of Faith," keep ending up as "Greasy, Sidewalk Disasters?" You finally have your head, so far caved in from all your sidewalk dives (leaps of faith) and other various bludgeonings, that you just don't have the will to take another step... what then? I love it when rich people tell us their romanticized, "rags to riches stories."
